Monster Anomaly
In Brief
A platformer created with the free Construct 2 engine.

This is another of those games created with the free version of Construct 2 and basically the same type of platformer as Gagarin in Deep Space, (the game we were given on the 24th June). It's yet another of those games with no options menu and very limited game play. The game starts in a small window and you can change it to full screen via the button in the top right hand corner of the window; (though the task bar will still be exposed if you you don't have the auto hide feature turned on).
Monsters Anomaly is a platformer with minuscule platforms, and shared assets, with nothing original included. All what you see is available with the free version of Construct 2. The aim of the game is to get to the scarlet/purple colored galaxy, collecting gold coins on your way. In the first level you don't even need to use the platforms to get to the next level, you can just jump across the purple gap then enter the vortex. If you do fall into the purple gap you are transported back to the beginning of the first level. In later levels you also need to avoid the flying white holes (as opposed to black holes). That's basically the game. You can see a 2 minute video of someone struggling to get past the first level HERE and a second 58 second one getting to the third level via the Steam sales page HERE.

You can read several Steam community reviews HERE. The only reviewer that gave it a thumbs up played it for 6 minutes and their comment was literally 2 letters 'OG'
Conclusion:
Seriously, my son was creating far more advanced levels in 3D that were enjoyable to play and challenging when he was six years old using games like Atmosphir, Game globe then later, Minecraft. I'm appalled that Steam even sell this game on their platform. It's created using nothing original from the free version of Construct 2, and is often frustrating in that some of the assets that are meant to kill you get stuck at the edges of the levels boundaries plus the level designs are 'IMO' appalling. My copy has already been deleted.
If you are one of those community members who are what we called 'Game Collectors' on Steam (there are a small minority of game's who buy virtually every game, most of which they never play (I was one of them until 2 years ago) then you can pick this game up for £0.39 during the Steam summer sale HERE. This developer 'Nekyau Games' has released over 30 game sof similar quality on Steam over the last year.

Watched about 1/3 of the video before deciding I'm not interested. Looked very difficult to get timing and moves "just right" and also very pointless. I'm very grateful for all the good stuff the GGOTD team does for us, and White Rabbit's honest reviews. Today's program is a quick one to pass unless you're interested in the Construct 2 engine. If this is what that creates, I'm not interested in that either!
