Not a pacman style game fan - this isn't too bad. Small download time though and my first try - worked great. Can't wait to see what comes next! Wish I had seen this site much much sooner!!!

Comment #28 Tom, unless you take an image of your registry, using a decent cloning tool, then the answer to your question is No. I'm not fully sure how to do it exactly as I don't have one of these programs either, but I think it's possible. So long as you retain the information kept within the registry it should be possible. :) However I prefer to buy the programs that are really useful as then you get the support and updates, which are always better. Still each to their own.

Thank you give away of the day. I think it is very nice of you to be able to give away software like this everyday. I do however have a big question about any of the software you let us have. Lets say this game I downloaded, registered and installed and say in a months time I have a major meltdown with my computer and wind up having to format my hard drive and reinstall XP. Will I still be able to reinstall all of the software I have gotten from GAOTD. if I took the time and backed up all the zip files on CDR before a reformat ? or am I just plain out of luck ?
I know when one downloads any of the software on any given day, one has to register and install before the promotion time runs out, or the software becomes nil. Just wondering. Thanks. :)

I thought the play was good. It wasn't clear you could push the 'bombs'. I think it would be a *great* kids game. For adults, about a 6 of 10.

It is sort of like pac-man but better! It is pretty fun and you have to be careful when new "monsters" pop up.

I don't know of any legal requirement that games be accessible, but game developers are losing out on a huge market by being so obtuse. People without disabilities have a wide range of entertainment options that have nothing whatsoever to do with computers or gaming consoles. People with disabilities, on the other hand, have far fewer options but still have just as much desire for entertainment, for improving their skills, and for competition, so the disabled could represent a really secure market for forward-thinking developers.

This appears to be a well-made game with excellent sound and graphics suitable for a space theme. The problem with it is that it is too cluttered and play is too frantic, causing eventual boredom--at least, for me. However, I intend to keep trying it as it is interesting and different from the usual pacman-type game.

David,
the size of file is 5.13 MB, how could you download 18.8 MB?
We always offer full versions of games, have you activated this game? Please, "carefully read the instructions which you can find in readme.txt file. This readme.txt file is enclosed with all our downloads."

After waiting patiently, with my slow dial-up, while downloading the 18.8 Mb, I couldn't play the game without registering it, or purchasing, which included my name and code. I was offered the oppurtunity to play a demo game. Not having a code, I was unable to access the complete game. I no longer have this game and don't think I will waste my time with any AxySoft products.

The weirdest PacMan clone I have ever seen. Backgrounds are space themed with a star field, planets and floating asteroids. But your character is a head wearing a metal helmet which looks more like a Roman soldier from ancient times than anything space related. Similarly, the pieces it's supposed to eat look like old Roman coins yet the monsters are space androids. It's like they couldn't decide on a theme so they combined two that are weirdly unrelated. Graphics are OK but not great, backgrounds look better than play areas.

Monsters don't actually chase you as in traditional PacMan, you just have to avoid them or explode them by pushing bombs into them. There's powerups but that's not unusual, all PacMan clones have powerups. One annoying thing about game play is getting the "press any key" message after each and every completed level instead of just at the start of the game. Game sounds are strangely psychedelic, with odd music and a somewhat distorted echo voice that confirms powerup grabs.

All keyboard controlled, as noted with disappointment by #15 Swan. Swan, I think the law you're referring to is the Americans with Disabilities Act? If so I seriously doubt video game developers are in any way bound by that law, first because they sell games internationally rather than just in the USA. Even in the US that law seems to apply more to entities with a physical presence like shopping malls, to provide ramps for wheelchairs and allow the blind to bring guide dogs places where animals are normally not allowed. On that last example, it wouldn't be practical for game developers to be bound by that law as it would be difficult at best to produce games so that all could be played by those who may be severely visually impaired. True it's not difficult to program games to recognize a mouse driver, but some keyboard-only games do work with game pads.

First thing I've ever downloaded from any of the GOTD sites. Can't say I would have gone out of my way to buy this game, but it is entertaining - which is good, since I like Pac-Man and arcade-type games. Good graphics and sound, but it would be nice if the developers would include an option for the game to run windowed, instead of full-screen. Thanks for offering this, GOTD!

Swan, I agree, RE: the "mouse or keyboard option" - this ain't 1990, after all, right?

I prefer to use my mouse/trackball for many games, and have never been a fan of the keyboard-only control setup. My preference.

Hopefully, game developers will revamp some of their existing titles AND create their new titles with the option for either/or. I'm even crossing my eyes, hoping this'll happen!!!

*sighs*

Don't game developers have to conform to disabled laws just like anyone else? When the disability laws first came out - people screamed; "well they don't *have* to go in there!" or "they can always go somewhere else." Preferring not to have to deal with disabled people at all.

Well I am sorry my friends, comments such as those didn't fly then and they still don't fly today - not even here on a free game site where "I don't *have* to go."

I have very little mobility in my (dominant) right hand - which makes for no chance at all for people in my predicament to operate a 'keys only' game.

I loved Chroma-Ways from this developer (Axyxoft) and was pretty much excited when I saw that they were giving another game away today. However, after giving up another game that they've created with exactly the same issue, I will just have to write Axysoft off as another one of those companies who don't particularly care to have disabled people playing their games.

Sorry everyone, I know this is not my usual chirpy synopsis, but it's just plain disappointing - even given away for free.

Thank you GOTD for making this great site possible - I do enjoy coming here but you'd think that game developers could give a choice of 'keys only' or 'mouse gestures,' that would make everyone happy. Let's face it, it's not exactly a feature that's difficult to include - so many games already have it.

Guess I'll see which developer is featured tomorrow. I truly hope that those who are comfortable with keys operation thoroughly enjoy the game! ;)

Graphics were good, sounds good, if you're into that kind of game. Starts with the simplist of levels so you can work you way up. I'm not into the "space" kind of games. So with me it's more environment then premise. Other than that works great. I'll probably end up deleting it.

Only runs as full screen. Has nothing to do with 'heritage of rich grandfather'. Not like pac man in style or challenge.

P.S. No way is this an average Pacman clone.....and I'd certainly say it's definitely above high school quality, although the college made game DeBlob (freeware) is pretty good (google it. Definitely above average graphics.

I'm not generally into Pacman games, but this one is excellent. It's interesting, with great graphics, sound effects, power ups to enable you to progress, and some entertaining levels once you get past the usual trainng levels. I will be playing this game lots over the next few days as I've found it reasonably challenging and lots of fun. Thanks again Axysoft for an entertaining game. Me and my family have enjoyed all of your games so far. Keep up the great work. Also thanks to GGAotD for putting this on the project. :D

The game activated & installed without problems. Disregard the 5.13mb file size. The game requires 23.4mb disc space. Options for music, sound and voice levels. Controls limited to arrow keys only. No choice for speed or skill; but, there are various bonuses during the game. It is a disappointment for me that there is no choice to use a gamepad or change a skill level. I wouldn't consider buying a game that didnot have those since other games do. I feel I can't give it a simple thumbs-up or down. On a scale of 10, I give it a "5". The developers can & should do better.
Thanks for the "test drive".
