I will endeavor to post more information about today's giveaway later today. I spent over 8 hours preparing and completing a review of what I thought was going to be posted today (something pretty cool) I'm shattered after staying up all night to finish it. So any info will be much later today. sorry for the inconvenience.

In Brief
Mission: Escape from Island is a budget first person survival shooter from Falcoware, using the Unity engine.
Mission: Escape the Island downloads to a 122 MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper, the set-up file and a read me). If you have multiple hard drives you can save games on any drive you wish by replacing the C drive letter in the path with whatever drive letter you wish the game to be installed to. The newly installed game is 271 MB in size. The game installs to the following path by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mission Escape From Island

However, if you prefer a different path for installation for example I use G:\Games\ name of game instead of 'C:\Program Files (x86)\name of game'. You can edit the default path when the Setup - Mission - Escape from Island - Select Destination Location window appears.
Five shortcuts are installed to the desktop, four of which can be safely deleted (i.e. Falco Space - Online Game!, FalconLine Online Games Website, FalcoGo WebGL Games! and Free Games Downloads!). If you don't want to install the games shortcut to the desktop during installation, just make sure the install desktop shortcut is unchecked when the 'additional task's window appears; you will still get two of the other Falcoware shortcuts installed (i.e. FalconLine Online Games Website & FalcoGo WebGL Games shortcuts). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you also uncheck the appropriate checkbox when the 'additional task's window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window).

According to Steam Mission: Escape from Island is an excellent shooter with a bright modern graphic! You take the place of a soldier who has infiltrated the OpFor's territory by chance. You risk detection so need to move as stealthly as possible. You cannot wait for immediate exfil and have to rely on your wits to survive the ordeal you are about to face while trying to escpe the Island.

There are hordes of enemies. Thankfully there are weapons to be found, scattered randomly; so, to survive you must scavange as much ammo and weapons as you can find.. You ust survive until rescue can be sent..

It's a pity that some miscommunication/misinformation had you waste all that time. I just wanted to say thanks anyway and to thank you for all the time you devote to researching and writing these reviews here so we can get free games.

Happy holidays to you and your family!

It's just another one of those shoot the enemy to survive games. There is too many games like this, only the enemy changes in each game.
In the 1980's there was a wider choice of games.

I hate to sound ungrateful, I'm not I appreciate the time and effort involved in bringing these giveaways to us, but this game is simply awful, the concept is good but actual game play is very slow and the graphics are ... Well let's be kind and say not very good. Kind of spoiled the game play a bit.

Thanks and have a great festive holiday or whatever it is you celibate at this time of year. Peace to all.

This is terrible. Horde of enemies????? Where?

I just do not understand why people wasting their time to "develope" games like this...

I think a lot of these budget games have arisen because of the cheap and free game engines that are now available. I partly blame Steam for that as they were the first game client to offer game engines. when RPGMaker was then included in a Humble bundle with several dlcs, I remember seeing a massive increase in the number of RPG's. As for the unity engine, sadly I've not seen many FPS games released using unity that have been worth keeping. today's effort reminds me graphically of Line of Sight: Vietnam, which was released around 16 years ago, but in no way could be compared game play wise as Line of Sight (which is now available via Steam, is far superior.. know you can als rent game engines such as the Crytek and the frostbite engines, using those would improve these types of games immeasurably.
