The platformer is one of the oldest genres in video games, and yet, even in 2023 it's still going strong with fantastic games that continue to innovate and impress.
This one goes back to such a simple concept of jumping from platform to platform with an emoticon mini white cube, getting to the exit and avoiding spikes but while it starts easy, it is extremely challenging in the level design at times requiring to use escape and restart potentially often, although there are unlimited retries.
Controls are WASD or Arrow Keys, W or Spacebar to jump. They are mostly responsive when jumping platform to platform, although your cube will tend to bounce around a bit intentionally after sticking to the side, inching up with jump and leaping onto the platform. Yes it appears quite generic at first as it can be a formidable task to re-invent the feel of a platformer anyway. Between Mario, Rayman, Donkey Kong, Sackboy, Hollow Knight and all the rest since, it can sometimes seem like every version of floatiness, skiddiness, and jump height and distance has already been covered. So, the addition of being able to stick to the sides of platforms here when you press left or right against them gives it something a bit different than trying to directly compete with the others as it clearly is not intended to do so. This means you can slide down, or as a hint when you let go of the keys after attaching to a side, you can jump vertically up off them, inching up while also pressing left or right or launching high above using jump key only which will let you reach what seems like impossible to get to areas like on the green level. They can be quite hair pulling or give you lots of satisfaction when you figure them out finally.
The game could use some more emoticons on the character, more sounds, mid level checkpoint and save game, and going to the restart menu when you fall to your death without hitting escape first. The biggest addition would be having a way to move the camera around the level, perhaps as an easy mode, without moving your character. Direction arrow perhaps pointing toward the exit. Removing the white from the title, and allowing for other colors to the cube might appeal to some players possibly in this day and age.
Worth a try potentially for its challenging level design, but if your expecting a typical platformer like alex gordon given away here this is not quite like that. I wish it were actually on steam with achievements, would love to see how many could even pass the green level out there for example which would also help the developer to adjust difficulty as needed.
RATING: C- (Any of the above additions would increase the rating)

This link gives a warning from the Giveaway link systems protections. Or at least a caution. I assume it's just because jboy needed to alter it, because GGOTD doesn't always like for posters to post links. So posters commonly alter links, sometimes just breaking them with a space so they aren't direct links at all. Just the standard precautions that any site must take nowadays because of bad actors. Not jboy's fault. You can easily access the standard link by just searching on any search engine: youtube mini white platformer game and the video link will be right there at or near the top of your search. Thanks jboy!
Short video, posted by Falcoware. A minute and a half. Shows the navigation of the 1st level and 1 attempt at the 2nd level, which is gained by jumping through a teleportal at end of the 1st level. Only obstacles on the 1st level are spikes to jump over, as shown above, some of which are near the end of the current platform and near the beginning of the next you have to jump to. Level 1 appears pretty short. On level 2 there are some small platform blocks, besides the spikes, that you have to jump properly on, of course, to avoid falling into the abyss. Looks like a pretty small and simple game unless the obstacles get significantly harder, though I would assume so. I've started to stay away from collecting these small games.
Thanks GGOTD.
