Mega Maze 2022:

In Brief:
We were given a different version of this a few weeks ago, called 'The Long Maze' by the same developer.

Mega Maze has 300 rooms connected by a labyrinth of corridors, the aim is to find your way out. The main difference between this and The Long Maze we received previously is that the walls and floors look different and the corridors connecting each room are shorter less maze like. Otherwise it's very similar.

Movement is accomplished using the WASD or the arrow keys, to return to the main menu and/or pause press Esc where you can save your progress, exit the game or resume where you paused the game. Press F to turn the flashlight on (this is reset when you return to a saved game) and E to open doors.

Changing the graphic settings did nothing as far as I could make out both the low and high settings looked exactly the same; however you can change the Field of View (FOV), though I found when on full it make me a little nauseous, so placed it mid way.

Personally I would have liked to have seen this more as a dungeon crawler with monsters to either avoid or destroy. With 300 rooms to escape from, this could take many hours to complete. With little in the way of a change of scenery, I found the game a little tedious after 20 minutes of walking along corridors and opening doors.

There's not much else I can say about the game, apart from it's a 3D first person maze game. I'd play this in short stints thanks to the ability to save your progress. It's also got eight save slots, making it an ideal family game. We were given a much better maze game (as a limited giveaway) called Epic Maze back in February this year HERE.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 64 antimalware engines. You can see the scan HERE, however there were still two AV software's trying to scan the files (Zenbox & Virus Total Jujubox) but after 15 minutes I've just copied the results as they stand.

The sixth Epic freebie is due at 4pm (UK)/11am (Eastern)/8am (Pacific). So far we've been given Bloons TD 6, Horizon Chase Turbo, Costume Quest 2, Sable & Them's Fightin' Herds.
