Re: #26 billybobaloo:
Thanks for the suggestions, that's a sound method that I use myself when a installers recommend a specific location for Start menu items. The only downside is what you said, they do need to be manually deleted if the program is uninstalled. But it's worth the moving and manual deletes to avoid icon crowded desktops. Too many icons looks awful and isn't very efficient.

Unfortunately this installer did not recommend a default location for Start menu at all. It just asked where you wanted to put them rather than the installer choosing any specific location. It never mentioned anything about overwriting existing menus though. That was a nasty surprise as I'm sure you can imagine as a fellow Start menu user. LOL

As 26 said .... let install in the main folder and if its any good I go to the trouble of organizing it. If not it gets organized to oscars place ^_-

Nice kids game though the death scream is un-nerving the first time around .... I figure the kids will just do it to freak out their mom.
Mind you it al depends on the maturity of the kids,

Hi there, and I agree with 2. Teri, totally. While you may not prefer some games, these guys are offering them for FREE! What a deal! Can't get better than that! So why complain?? I enjoy sooo many of the games, and the ones I don't, I simply delete and hope someone else does. I give each one a try before I decide... you never know when something will grab you. My daily "treat" is to check here. So THANKS GAOTD!! You guys ROCK!!

#24 - I too like an organized Start Menu and have everything categorized. It is probably quite similar to yours. My solution is to let any program I install choose where to put itself in my Start Menu and then move the shortcuts manually afterwards. It avoids any problems like this and allows me to delete all of the unnecessary shortcuts that programs install (like links to their website.)

The only problem with this method is that you have to manually delete the shortcuts after uninstalling an application since it can't find the shortcuts after they have been moved.

Hope this helps (if you come back LOL.)

Be very careful of the installer on this game if you have an organized Start menu with folders and multiple subfolders. I don't use desktop icons, my Start menu has a separate category under Games for GGOTD games and then subcategories for types of games from this site. (Breakout Games, Puzzles, Space Shooters, etc.) Upon installing this game I told it exactly where to put Start menu shortcuts, and it did. Unfortunately it also OVERWROTE my entire Start Menu folder for Games, without asking. This is the first game from this site that has done this, there was nothing left except the shortcuts for this game. I had to recreate the entire Games menu from scratch. So, either don't let this create any Start menu items or create a blank folder in Start before installing and tell it to put it's shortcuts into the blank folder. That way it can't overwrite an entire menu. This may only be a problem if you have many subfolders like I do, but regardless installers should NEVER overwrite any Start menu folder without asking and without warning! One of the worst installers I have ever seen.

As for the game itself, it's got nice graphics and a cute main character. Similar to platform games but easier. This one seems geared toward younger children with easy controls and generally easy game play. For those concerned about games that start at full screen, this one does not. Upon opening there's a small options screen to choose screen resolution and 16 or 32 bit. There's also a Manual option, the help file attached is in html format and opens in a web browser but needs no internet connection as the entire html format help file is installed in the game's folders.

Clicking Start Game starts in the resolution chosen and brings another Options menu with controls to adjust brightness and sound volume. It's keyboard controlled but controls can be edited, if you decide you don't like your control edits there's a button to restore default controls. The next Start brings a choice to select play in Forest, Rocks or Desert backgrounds. Game play is basically the same for all, only graphics and sounds are different. There's background sounds but no music, the nature sounds in Forest are nice but sounds in Rocks and Desert mode are a little weird.

One odd addition, especially in a game designed for young children, is if the player moves the character over the edge of the platform he doesn't just stop but falls off with a scream and it's necessary to start again. Current level progress is saved on restarting the level, but sensitive children might be a little upset the first time that cute little character falls off the edge screaming. I think that could have been left out in a children's game. Instead maybe just have a clicking sound that signifies the character can't move any further, like in the Snowy Bear games from Alawar.

Do not fall down. That sort of describes the gameplay. I think I'll take advantage of the featured un-install support ;-) A honest 2/10 rating.

How do you go up the stairs? I can get up the first stair and then fall through on each type: forest, rocks, desert. I don't see an option for jumping. Thanks

Semi-fun game. There are some problems with the moving elevators. I think "Snowy, Puzzle Island" was better.

I've never posted a comment but just wanted to say whow appreciative I am for this site. I did have trouble with a couple of downloads, telling me afterward that I only had a trial version. Does anyone know how to fix this? Advance Windows Pro and Ashampoo 4??? Any help would be great. Otherwise, this is a great site. Thanks so much.

I want to try this game but seem to be having some difficulties. I have downloaded, and the page is showing that the game is activated. When I double click the page opens, I click start, the page goes to "Funny Images" page then everything shuts down and goes back to my desktop. Not sure why I am having a problem. But as always thank you for the chance to try a new game.

I played through 4 levels and that was enough. I was getting tired of the hoping sounds and the lack of excitement.
Now if you have small kids , this would be an excellent game for them. Its easy to play, has a cute little hero running around and is easy enough to get to more levels.
The graphics are good , it loaded with no problems and its easy to play.

on my kid scale of 1 to 5 we get *** 1/2 stars

on my adult scale we get a *

Love the non descriptive features list. And which game doesn't have uninstall support? LOL. Can't any game claim 3D graphics, "cool" sound effects, and "gorgeous art"?

Tried this one; my daughter will love it as it has a cute animal and it's easy too, (she'll feel likes she's achieving something, as with harder games she soon gets frustrated and loses interest) I reckon this will be one of those she's going to love. I wonder if she will figure out that she can gain more points by taking the tokens in the quickest way? If not I'll have to tell her, lol. She's 6 :D

Not my kind of game, but as always: THANKS for making this game available for trial/keeping! Very cool project you have going here...and I love the app downloads as well. I'm more of a utilities grrl than a gamer, and it's all sweet to me!

I hate to see the whining and bad-mouthing that some people feel compelled to post here. To the unhappy visitors: Appreciate that other people are making cool stuff available for you; and if you think you're "above" certain software, then zip your lip and keep on surfing.

Y'all ROCK, and I now visit every day for a game and an application. For instant gratification, P2P doesn't favorably compare!
