This game is the reason that I found this website. I played a trial version of it and loved it so I did a Google search for it and found GGOTD. I missed this game by two day for the giveaway, this was sad. I am hoping that you will bring this one back out soon. Thanks for all the great games since finding your site.

I like the game but I'm having trouble w/ it.
It crashes while working the garden in the secound place on the map and I can't get it to go farther than the fourth place.
The fourth garden has no place to grow plants! ????
If I make enough money before getting there I can pay the pirats but then they disapear and I'm stuck!
Is this happening to anyone else? Anyone know what to do?
I'd like to be able to finish the game.

its taking forever for the pirates to take me to a new place...when are we going to the 5th farm?

Wonderfully addictive game. Early bugs have been almost instantly fixed and new levels/quests added. Fantastic support from the developer. Thank you GGOTD.

If you are told by a character to wait after you pay them just go back to the farm and have more fun. After number of days you will be taken back to town to talk to the character again.
All those getting "stuck" after paying the Pirate: Do not wait for the boat you will not see it or the pirate. Assume that you have it. With it you can now go back to the former towns/farms. Just click on the Global Map and click on any twinkling place. You will find extra quests :-)
Check the Forums for free bug fixes and extra quests at "MAGIC FARM: A REVIEW" (six pages now) or at http://robingames.com/games/magic-farm/. Make sure you find the Magic Farm folder in your drive directory and move it to the Recycle Bin (DO NOT USE AN UNISTALLER OR YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR REGISTRATION) before you download the new versions

#199 Gail Brown, I'm sorry to tell you, but yes you do need to restart. However you should be able to get through a bit faster, since the bouquets on island 3 are now worth more. The purple ghost guys on island 4 are a lot more prolific and hard to kill, though, and I found that it helped if I upgraded the pest killing skills of myself and Robin the dragon before anything else, and occasionally stopped beating up a pest if one of my plants needed watering. Hope this helps

So I've been playing the extra quests and the pirate just told me that if I give him 35,000 gold he will give me a sailing boat. I raised the money, paid him, and he disappeared. Where do I go to get this boat and what does it do? Or did I give him all of that money for nothing?

OK I am lost. I am running XP and the updates to not seem to be working for me. Do I need to restart the game or what. I am on level 4 and there is no one in town for me to talk to. I was able to get the very first update to work but after that nothing.

Thanks Oleg for the continuous fixes. Just played a bit still the second quest and it looks better already.
BUT: when you get the Upgrade Skill box the descriptions of the skills have gone. I will look forward to the next version :-).

It is addictive and hard to keep up as I have to keep buying new plants :-( too many bad guys. Could you have different difficulty levels? I have finally got $1,000 (took 3 days).

After installation of patch, i can't go further on the cannibal-island. When i arrive there, my amount is -999036 :( I can't buy anything to start the farm.

i gave the 15000 coins and said we would depart to the next place where the parents are but it wont take me there. dont know what else to do, i guess i cant save the parents

Game was fun, but I couldn't come up with the final 15000 needed because the last farm wouldn't let me plant anything! I also could only sell the stuff at the second-to-last farm for $1 apiece. Beings that it doesn't let you go back to the second farm (where I got TONS of money), I really can't finish the game unless I spend a couple hours just farming $1 things...

Other than the seemingly unfinished part of the game, I enjoyed it a lot! Thanks Meridian'93 and GGOTD!

I playd the 15.000 coins most on canibal island because i went grrrrrrr on the pest oke its take longer but i get so mad on the pest that i almost trow the game from my pc. i have mussel pain on my vingers from the pest on pirate's island hihihihi

#179 you can sell all your plants after strong spirits first appear.
just stay one. when strong spirits eat your plant, next day, you can plant many plants and the spirits will easy to be killed. It still can make money if you use right way.

Anita soory but at my #177 post i have the same problem with this stupid caniball and his pineapples. I have just try everything. I mean everything, selling all, start again sell all give him 30 regular 30 rare ,30 crystaline pineapples even 60 of each but nothing..
I'll just wait for the next patch. Soory. i'm glad that i helped you. Now i'm trying the game from the begging with another username. If i have a solution for the pineapples i will tell you.

Your problem to the first farm i think i have a solution.
After you conversate the guy that asks you for snails and then for some sevenpetals chamomile just go to your farm and then sell everything even the flowers that you planted and the harvest also and just plant some flowers and begin the game. When you have all the snails it will automatically send you to the guy. Also with the flowers.
(After you hit a snail just pick up it shell. Don't forget to pick up the shell. They don't have all snails shells.)
I believe now you can continue.

All those problems will be fixed in next patch. Except losing money from second to third. As taaavi said it's shipwreck issue...

Can't understand your problems, because you land on farm #3 after you shipwrecked and so it's logical that you loose your money. That makes the game more difficult but also more interesting. I like that.

Same with the spirits at farm #4. Hard attack but it's possible to kill them. Gain experience, improve attack skills of yourself and Robin and plant your plants on the right side of the screen. They will eat some plants but in the end I could manage thei attacks. Nice challenge, maybe too hard for younger kids but I loved that fight.

Nemesis i have this problem to. I have it on farm 1

I had the same problem from Farm 2 to Farm 3, I had a ton of money and when I got there I had 50 I think.

I had problems keeping plants on the last farm, the spirits and snowmen just kept coming in groves (8 at a time). I did finish the game, and I plan to replay it and upgrade my pest control to the max!

Great game, I hope we'll see simliar ones!

I thought we were supposed to get a patch today to fix the problems in this game. It's a lot of fun but there are a lot of errors and farm 4 doesn't have anything to grow.

Even i just download and install the second patch a have a HUGE PROBLEM.
At the end after you see your parents, you will do some tasks.
on the first farm on the second and last on the third farm.
my problem is on the third farm with this stupid kannibal that he ask you for 30 pineappless for a festival but if you have 30 common pineapples and try to give it to the cannibal nothing or if you have 30 crystal pineapples nothing again or 30 rare pineapples nothing again.
Pleaassee fix this or tell me what to do.

ARGGGG! I grew so many flowers so I could bank a bunch of money to spend on the island....I went to the island with over $11K...and I suddenly only had THIRTY!!!!!!
It didn't do that with the old buggy version....

version 1.0.0.2 crashes all the time too.

I installed the third one and now the spaces are blank where my money and water are. I have no way of knowing how much money I have. Plus it sucks that I had to start over. I give up.

I have had problems with both the 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 patches. I am running vista, so I am not sure if this is related. If I install the patch, and run it from the window at the end of the installation everything is great. If I run it from the start menu or from the desktop, it does not work properly. With the latest patch, it does not say that it is the proper patch on the opening screen, and there is no text in the menu on the left, for the harvest, gold, or water. Plus with the 1.0.0.1 patch, I created a new character, loosing all my progress with the first. Had to go through all the work on level 3, and when I got to level 4, no plants.

I also installed this on my vista notebook, and am having similar problems... aarggggg!!!!!!!!

Beckii, if you take a look at the comments, you'll see that the second fix is out now. #163 links to that fix, just don't uninstall the old version, then you'll loose the registration.

This game has alot of errors that lock the game up during play to where you can not move your mouse or save and you must cntrl alt del to get to the error pop-ups. One says error: game.dat....another says error:can't init. bug:gusencia....also on second farm the captain says you need 1000 coins...no, he needs 10,000 coins (big difference)...IF the developer offers fixes for this game, please let me know...it is fun but not worth the hassle of trying to keep it running.
