Very good interactive war game. It's been years I haven't played one and this one just kept my adrenaline going.

Good game and good graphics. Not the greatest, but pretty good. If you like shooter games, you would probably like this. Lots of levels to keep you busy.

this is the first time i play a war game nice

The game offers some entertainment and is rather interesting for the first 4-5 levels. It only has 15 levels and you can finish it very quickly. It has potencial but it needs: more levels, diferent enemies and upgrades.

It was a decent game until I ran into bug in the game, atleast for me. I would have two or three lives and after dying it said i failed the mission. With that I decided to uninstall the game. Other than that it was enjoyable for the most part. There were little things like the power-ups not caring over that took away from the game. A fun game to play a couple of levels but after that game gets to be boring. With the bug that I experienced I would have to say it on a scale of 1-10 1 being horrible and 10 being exceded expectations i would give it a four. With out the bug issue i would score it a 6.

Basically it's RIP from the air, with less levels, less enemies and a gun that's not as good. As #10 Jimmi mentions levels are repetitive and your earned powerups for better guns don't carry over, get to the next level and it's back to the pea shooter. Some brief background information but no real story element and no characters. Same style of older 2D graphics as the RIP games, good but not great. It's a half way decent shooter but I agree with WhiteRabbit rather than the one or two earlier raves complete with caps. This game is fine for free today, but at only 15 levels and with elements missing it's not worth it's normal price of twenty dollars.

Controls in RIP and RIP Strike Back were more responsive than in Machine Hell. On it's linked site Machine Hell advertises "easy mouse control" and it can use either mouse or keyboard for all game functions. But the response from the keyboard is better, the ship moves faster. Small enemies are killed with one shot, bigger ones have health lines to show when you're close to eliminating them. The buildings apparently belong to enemies as well, if you shoot at them they have descending health lines and explode when the lines run out. You earn nuclear weapons as you kill more enemies, they are activated by right clicking. Save them for the largest enemies at the end of each level, but do use them at the current level since any unused will disappear on progressing to the next level.

The game sucks, it looks like an unfinished prototype, almost unplayable, very few options.

Sorry, folks. No joy here. Just another scrolling shooter in my eyes. Some of the units look cool, but I'm yawning otherwise.

Thanks for the links WhiteRabbit. Those are some kool games for free. I always like 3d action type games much more than any 2d action games. So any links to free 3d action games are always welcome by me, as long as they're spyware/adware/malware free. Links to 2d arcade or puzzle type games are ok though. Thx again.

This game is totally lovable, but don't press spacebare when you have completed a mission... then you have to do it all over again to get to the next level :( AAAAAAHHHHRGHHHHH!!!

Overall, a very nice scrolling shooter. the power ups are plentiful and targets abound. I didn;t se a "save game" option, but perhaps it does it automatically. I played through the first level and had a blast :-) thanks GGOTD ! A very nice offering.

And a note to your final comments....morals never get outdated though they often get discarded. That's just an observation and not intended as criticism. It sounds like you are on top of things where your son is concerned. As a former teacher, I wish all parents were like that.

A lack lusture, very repetative levels, slightly above average graphics, shooter. The guns are just plain lame and any power ups you get during a level are lost when the next level commences. In a word, weak! Download and play if your bored, otherwise steer clear. I wouldn't pay for this if it was in a $1.00 bargain bin.

This is a reasonable action game, similar to the old favorite Machine Nation, but much better graphics. The eye candy is okay, but not as good as Jets and Guns a similar arcade game that has a lot more levels and some great game play. Comparing the two I'd rate these 5 out of 10 for Machine Nation, as opposed to 8 out of 10 for Jets and Guns; mainly because there are only 15 levels to the full version game. It’s not worth the price tag in my opinion, considering the number of levels is so limited. You can get two very similar games called Air Attack and Air Attack II, with much better graphics and more levels from the following addresses: I’d rate these 8 or 9 out of 10

Although you do get a screen on closing down the game that takes you to the homepage; however this isn’t so bad because it informs you of any new games that they have acquired. There are no other problems. I’ve downloaded virtually all the games from this particular site and have never had any problems with virus’s or other malware. You’ll find quite a lot of commercial games being given away free, available from most genres, including several larger first person/third person shooters and others that have been made freeware. On installing Machine Hell you get the choice of setting screen resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 32 bit. The options menu allows you to change the usual parameters such as music and sound. There's no story line as in some games like this, but that doesn't detract from the game. Some people find the interruption to the game play annoying any way (not me though. :)

Thank you Nuclear Games and the GGAotD team for giving away this enjoyable shooter. :D. My son is going to love this one, once he’s finished with the RIP and Mad Magic games. He’s getting overloaded, lol. (for those that think of criticizing me for letting my son aged 8 play this and other violent games, he only gets to play computer games at specific times over the weekend and during the weekdays as a reward for doing something special at school, or working hard. There’s violence all around us. Even the cartoons we all grew up with. So don’t bother trying to lecture me with your outdated morals. (Excuse the preemptive comment; it’s just to save me the bother of replying to those that feel the need to criticize, lol)

I downloaded the game with slight problems, my own not GOTD's, but when I went to unzip I get a message cnnot activate, Try later or check firewall. I have never had this problem before and need to know if anyone has a suggestion. Thanks GOTD for all the games.
