Hi,
Downloaded late and can't give a thumbs up! Game downloaded in seconds and opened easily.
Game play is smooth and so far matches are easy. The longer you play, the more matches you need to proceed.
Buying houses and upgrading them is easy also. A sweet little game to take your mind off the world.
Thanks for another good game and have a good weekend! Lee

I have this one from the Toomky site. Also, Gametop has Lost in Reefs (also by Rumbic Games), which is very similar to Lost in Night. You're also building a town, and there are hundreds of levels, and 3 different match modes, in case you get bored. Thanks, all!

Got here very late so doubt if anyone will see this.

Downloaded on Win7Pro64 i5 installed fine (after I remembered to turn off my AV!). Loaded right out of the box full screen.

Like that it has a relaxed and timed mode choice. Played the first few screens, won a trophy on the first one, got the pumpkin patch, and house fully upgraded and the cabin (shed?) built.

I do wish the play area was a little larger after I got to the last 2 I played I was having a bit of a time seeing the game pieces I needed. Tired right now will fiddle settings and see if I can make it a bit larger. Have old eyes!

Overall I like it, colorful and I love the game icon.

Hope you all had a good day and WH a nice time with your company and all that. Looked up that cave...got a feeling it looks more impressive in person than what I could find online. Ciao!

I have this game and enjoy playing it. The play is easy and fluid, the details rich, the game is easy enough to play. I enjoy building games where you build buildings or cities. I don't listen to the music or sounds and turn those off. Plays well on Win 10 Home.

Slowish download, but that could be the time of day to blame. Installation was quick and easy, and no problems with starting the game. It's a weel-kent style of game, match-3, with the chance of building your village / town once you've scored enough points. The music was turned off pretty soon - my usual habit! - but the game wouldn't let me go for longer than I expected. Just one more round to finish off that building - oh no, it'll take another one or two!

The design is quite pretty, a very pleasant change from the newer blood-and-guts type of decor (YUCK!) and it looks like a nice gentle way of passing the odd tea-break when I'm working. (Okay - when I was working . . . ) Probably suitable for younger players too, although perhaps not the youngest, who might want more happening to keep them interested.

Yes, I'll be keeping this one - it's worth giving it a try, so if you're not sure about it - it's very easy to get it going and see what you think yourself. Many thanks as ever to GGAOTD, to TOOMKY Games, and to Whiterabbit, who won't be reading this anyway since he's deep down underground in the cavern today. Hope your torch batteries don't run out down there! :-D

This game is addictive . . . I've been back three or four times today already! It's bright, colourful, easy on the surface but with hidden depths . . . and what's best of all - it's FUN! You know (if you're old enough to remember) - it's like the old-time computer games, that allowed you to smile while you rattled up the points!

It's really great to find a game you can play just because it looks good and makes you feel good too. Thank you again, ever so much, to all concerned in digging up this little gem!

Now, if I can just earn a few more points before bedtime, I can get that Fir Tree cottage up and completed . . .

I like it but wish the game part was larger or full screen

Reply   |   Comment by CN  –  4 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+2)

CN, Mine launches as full screen. There is also a full screen selection in the options, am I the only one seeing this? You are the second person to comment that it's not full screen.

FeMaster, The game booted up in full screen for me right from the outset.

Whiterabbit-uk, Same here, strange that some aparently aren't.

Very weird, indeed. I went back and clicked on full screen again and nothing changed. I exited out (bottom left) and the entire desktop started fluttering. Task Manager brought it right back to the fluttering screen. I had to do a forced restart. Now the game is full screen.

CN,
There is a option in the game to give you a full screen.
Click on options at the bottom of the screen.

Similar experience to Jeffrey K Benham.
Opened in windowed mode. I went to Options and unchecked the Fullscreen/Windowed option. No change. Checked it again. The screen went weird and the computer became unusable. Restarted and now all is well.

FeMaster, I meant I wished that the part of the screen that the actual matches are made was larger. Seem like it could be bigger and still leave some background visible.

Just watch out for the "value added" options during install and be sure to uncheck them!

FeMaster,

Hi FeMaster, thank you for your comments. All the games you see on TooMky Games, and all the other free game sites such as MyPlayCity, Gametop and FreeGamePick, are commercial games and technically not free. You'll still find many of them on commercial sites like Big Fish Games, Alawar, Playrix and other commercial sites. The reason we are given them at no charge is because of the low level adware that is included with the games which shows us adverts of other games when the games are loading and directs our browsers to their sites every time you close the game down. They earn income (probably a lot more that from the sales of their games once they have been released for several months or more). Part of that income is then given to the developers of those games.

Usually some of the adware is disabled in the giveaway versions we see here. That said, I did compare last weeks game we received from TooMky Games with one I downloaded directly from TooMky Games and didn't find any difference, so whether my statement above about adware being removed is still valid with the games we get from TooMky games, IDK?

EDIT: Just downloaded the TooMky version and can now say that the download manger that comes packaged with TooMky Games directly has been disabled in the giveaway version. I didn't want to install the download manager so cancelled the installation, so cannot say whether there was anything else different.

The giveaway team are in the middle of negotiations with TooMkyGames to secure a lot more games from them, just like they did with MyPlayCity and previously with Playrix Entertainment and Alawar.

Whiterabbit-uk, Yeah, I tried to install from their site as well, and my antivirus went crazy blocking everything under the sun. Not sure what all is packaged with it, but ESET was not going to let it install any of it. Must be a whole lot removed from the installer that was on here.

Looks good, but there doesn't seem to be a FULL screen option.

Jeffrey K Benham, When I launched the game it came up fullscreen. And clicking the OPTIONS button in the lower left, there is a fullscreen button in there. Not sure why you aren't seeing it.

FeMaster, The Full Screen box is filled, but it is windowed anyway.

Jeffrey K Benham, Not sure if you've tried this yet or not, but another person was having a similar issue and it resolved itself after rebooting their PC.

Installed on Win 10 64-bit with no issues. It's a nice change in the Match-3 Games. Has a few little twists to make it a little more challenging.
