I totally missed this giveaway, hence the lack of moderation. I really appreciate this site as I've gotten some good programs / games here.

However, I'm not very thrilled with this 'giveaway'.

I get home and see the email. It was dated today at 4:54 am (I'm in Central US time). It did not say anything at all about this being a 'sweepstake'. It states:

I also missed out on this one. I checked on the 30th and there was no giveaway tagged for the 1st dec, so didn't bother checking. It wasn't until yesterday I checked and saw that i'd already missed it. Slightly annoyed becasue apart from the very first steam game given away, I've had every other one apart from this one, so it would have been really nice to have finally saved some money. i'll end up buying it soon a sit is the type of game i like to buy. Was hoping to see it in the Thanksgiving sale, but missed it.

It's a pity you feel that way, especially as this site is after all a site that gives away free games. What is happening isn't the giveaway teams fault. They do not want to give duplicate codes away, but the method that is used to distribute those keys is obviously faulty and I'm sure they are looking to find a better way to distribute the keys. They have to be careful otherwise unscrupulous community members will abuse the system, which ultimately impacts on other community members becasue keys run out quicker becasue of those community members taking more than one key..So long as the community member can prove they received a duplicate key and contact the team they should get a usable key. Please read my comments especially the one I replied to Piter432

I'm just a volunteer from the giveaway community, just like you. i chose to help out because I was grateful to the owners of this site for introducing me to a lot of different genres of games I never fancied trying previously and consequently discovered I'd been missing out on many good games. I don't know the system how keys are sent out; but I'm sure it's not done on purpose as the giveaway team want the site to run as smoothly as possible. Please bear in mind that we the community are getting stuff for free, so if a glitch does happen, please try to be understanding. I'm sure if anyone who received a duplicate key can prove it, they will be given another key. Unfortunately there are always those that will try to abuse the system. Take for example the first Steam key that was given away here several months ago. There were no checks with respect to the number of times you applied for a key, so some unscrupulous community members applied for large numbers of keys and then sold them on the Steam key markets of which there are loads now since the advent of the indie bundles (for example I have over 10 000 Steam keys, which I'm intending giving away in one form or another (eg those posting reviews will be rewarded with game keys) once the review site has been set up fully) . Those people who did that, basically stole from those that applied but didn't get a key (I didn't because by the time I applied, all the keys had gone and then the giveaway was taken down because I think the giveaway team realized what was going on. I can understand getting a duplicate key is frustrating, but with a little effort, i.e. taking a screen capture of the message you receive, then sending it on the the giveaway team before the giveaway ends should (I hope) ensure you get a valid key.

Easy, guys. I'm just frustrated, 'cause similar situation happened to me some time ago and I wasn't sure what to do then.

However, if you have my email address somewhere and have the key of this game, please send to me, 'cause I've got the duplicated key. Of course, I send a message through contact form on your side with a video converted to GIF on gfycat.com. I can also send you a screenshot of my message to prove that I really got the key, but this key was duplicated (not inserted by me or created by me), if you want this. Just let me know here, okay? :)
