Really wasn't enthused with this one. Either the controls were unresponsive or its very difficult to judge where the walls and openings are, because I was finding myself unable to move vertically on one map on one side despite being in the very corner under it.

I downloaded this game three times on my laptop and after the setup it still wouldn't work. I then downloaded it to my desktop and it timed out (the download, not the activation) before I had a chance to try it out.

Oh well, I have had great success with all the other games from this site, so I am still happy.

As soon as I saw the screenshots I thought it looked like a pac-man clone with graphics that didn't seem to warrant the specs requested nor did it justify the size of the download. I didn't bother installing it because of that.

Now I came back to see what others thought and low and behold it IS a badly made pac-man clone which looks and feels 10 year out of date. Just goes to show that indeed one can make reasonable conclusions based solely on screenshots.

Well, this is a useful site. This one sounded okay, the description and screen shots seemed appealing enough. But close to 80% thumbs down and a forum full of negative comments convinces me to give this opnw a pass. Still checking in to see if anything as good as robbox will ever come along again, but apparently this isn't it. Oh well, I'll still be checking in in an hour or two for tomorrows listing. Or maybe I should wait until the 23rd hour again and read the comments first.

Like so many others, I downloaded and installed with no problems but could not run the game due to d3dx9.dll (I think I got that right) not found. Re-installing did NOT help. My system is Win XP, SP2. I wasted my time.

Also had the same error with the x3dx9_30.dll was not foud. I will try to do what Spiritwolf suggested and update DirectX.

This download did fine on an older Xp, sp2, with just basics.

This is just a basic Pac-Man clone, like the others are posting, & to me, gets old quick.

Hopefully tomorrow, we'll have better luck on a more interesting game to try out.

And hopefully, GGOTD will learn to install an ignore button, so we can ignore the likes of Whiterabbit aka Stephen.

His posts are windy, boring, & I skip them everytime, anyway.

Thumbs down because this is really cheap stuff. From the game files, I was able to identify that the game is someone's work made using an old version of 3D Game Studio. There are totally NO signs of who created the game, no copyright notices and no license. And the installer is just a Winrar SFX.
P.S.: Most of you probably didn't bother to search for the missing dll in google because that dll is freely available for download.

Seems like an OK game. Not necessarily the kind I enjoy. I downloaded it and tried to play a few levels. Because I'm unfamiliar with the genre, I haven't figured out what I'm supposed to do to defeat the bad guys, and what I'm not supposed to do. I may try it from time to time but it won't be on my favorite games list.

I got d3dx9-30.dll error. Program does not show up on add/remove programs to delete it. So I deleted it off with the "shredder" program.

This game is missing a dll fill and will not start without it. USELESS

Like others I tried this game for my son and get the error 3dx9_30.dll missing file when trying to start the game. Also, the installer is kind of lame...have to make shortcut manually to start game just to get an error. Not sure why some people are not having this issue, though.

OK. So I went and installed Microsoft Direct latest version and it instantly fix that install problem we all have.

this game was a drag at first because it seemed "simple and boring" BUT it is not. after giving it a little patience and retry, i found that i liked the game....saving the geisha girls is pretty cool. also, it's different than other games...you don't have an attack button, you simply grab a sword and go to the nearest ninja and you will automatically attack. i really like this game. everyone needs to give this a chance and keep at it...it is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thing looks like it's been assembled on a knee... and badly at that. Very much Like an engine taken from some other game and setting/maps changed to incorporate another goal and gameplay.
Can't call it epic fail, but... at least don't leave files with some strings from obviously another game in the distribution - please.

I'm afraid I agree with many of the comments before me. If the publisher is Some Games..... the game is trash. There is no need to look further. GGAOTD team please do us users a huge favor and not offer any more of this publisher's rubbish. One would think the constant negative reviews this publisher receives would have given you a hint. If not I will try to make it clear. No one wants this publisher's "games". They suck, They are awful. I think you get the idea. Thank you for the offer but Some Games's offerings almost makes me yearn for the return of Doublegames. And I think everyone remember how awful they were.

d3dx9_30.dll is not a game file. That is part of the directX distribution. If you are getting that error then you should update your version of directX.

Once again that problem is not the fault of some company (what is with that name?) but a fault with you not having the correct file.

Seriously in this day and age you really should know just to google errors messages. It only takes a minute.

I downloadoaded this game twice but en I tried to tun it I got an error message both times saying,"application has failed because

Just based on today's comments I sure AIN'T gonna bother with today's game, it's a thumbs down lame game for sure. Plus, "Some Company" has a spotty record as evidenced by the number of problems a simple download-and-unpack game is giving people.

Thumbs down simply because of who it's by. Every game I've ever tried by them was cheap, plane jane & not fun to play. I have no reason to think this will be any different so won't waste my time.

No wonder this game is bad, look at the company that made it. Their company name is "Some Company". Well, that's not very original and if you click it and look at the previous giveaways from them, they were all bad. Sorry, but today's game just isn't for me.

The missing dll can be found free just google it. After dropping the dll in the last Samurai folder, the game plays fine. If you call this a game. I don't feel the game was worth the effort.

I won't be downloading and installing this game due to the premise that the samurai has to find all the 'girls'. As a woman I find the game's premise insulting. And I am not even a feminist.

I love PacMan, allmost a cult game for me.
This one adds 3D perspective and a more realistic setting (not just walls and blobs).
First thing after starting it was missing a "d3dx9_30.dll", so I downloaded this at: www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_30.
I copied it in the install-directory.
Now it does start, very promising but after starting the screem dimmed out and froze.
In the past I had a lot of trouble with indeo codecs, could that be the problem again? Anybody knows how to get it started?

Successfully installed and launched on both my XP and vista machines, so evidently having the latest version of DirectX worked

The same problem for me, with the missing .dll file.

I had the same message saying 'try to reinstall, it can solve the problem' (or something like that). So I've re-installed it 3 times, but nothing happened. I've tried to remove the program and isntall again and tried to overwrite the existing files. None of them worked for me :(((

d3dx9-30.dll is a Microsoft direct x file. From what I've read on forums where other people have experienced errors with games due to this dll missing, installing Microsoft DirectX most recent version is supposed to solve the problem.

:oops: Sorry, it was impossible to capture a clear and smooth video of the game for some reason? Despite repeated attempts; so, there will be no video showing the game play today, despite my promise earlier. I've spent the last 90 minutes trying to capture some game play using both Camtasia Studio and Capture Wiz Pro, but I either got a blank screen, or parts of the game screen showing partial blocks of graphic, flickering in and out. Hopefully tomorrow’s game will be easier. :)

Just to remind you, try Marble Arena, a freeware game I've posted details of in the forums. My son is sitting besides me enthralled by the marble maneuvering game. It's not quite Marble Blast gold, but nearly as good. If anyone remembers Roads to Fantasy, another marble rolling game, which was given away back in Nov 07, well this game is as good, if not better than that game. (IMO of course)
