I tried the game and I must say that initially I also struggled to figure out how to take a weapon but by checking the description of the controls on this site I realized that you have to press F. For me it was very annoying to have to start the game without a weapon, I don't say that I had to have who knows how many ammunition but at least a weapon with a minimum of ammunition since the zombies are immediately on you and they don't give you even a minimum of time for making you think among other things is also absent a pause button that for any reason can help you if you have to leave your pc

Thanks, I'm sure I tried F. F or E tend to be action keys/ I must have missed the collision mesh when trying F. It was hard to concentrate on key bindings while trying to avoid the zombies following me around.

krAsAvA Shot is a top down shooter using the free Construct 2 engine.

Introduction:

The year is 2079, Earth sent an expedition to Mars. On their return it seems that they picked up a virus that mutates virtually the whole of earths population into zombies. The aim of the game is to survive the zombie hordes that attack you. Clear each level of zombies to unlock the next level. The game includes an online cooperative mode, with up to ten players being able to join the game. Weapons can be found laying around or inside boxes that you'll need to break open. Other items such as furniture inside houses are also destructible. There are 5 types of weapons, that once you've acquired can be selected using the keys 1 to 5. Keep an eye on your ammo count for each weapon.

There are no instructions, but the usual movement keys are valid, i.e. WASD and the action key for picking up weapons is the F key. My main issue is that you get very little time to pick up a weapon before getting attacked by several zombies. The key bindings are not conducive to those who are predominately left handed. I used my left hand to control the mouse, which was also used for firing the weapon. that left my right hand to move and also pick up weapons. I found this really difficult, so kept dying. If it was possible to change the key bindings, or at least include the arrow keys for movement I would have enjoyed this game much more. It was created using the free construct 2 engine, though some of the assets such as the zombie horde may have been paid for assets.

This could potentially be a reasonably top down shooter, especially if you could persuade friends to play online with you. Unfortunately for me it was unplayable due to the control set up.

To access the online co-op mode you need to include a name in the field provided (this isn't required if you select the offline mode). The game won't start unless there are at least two players. I tried to enter, but as no other player was present the game wouldn't start, it just flashed up a message saying needed other players. If you have a friend who has this game, you may be able to arrange to meet online together. It does look like the developer has created a dedicated server with a lobby included, so it may be worth exploring.

After you picked up a weapon from the ground with F, you can shoot with the left mouse button (as long as the weapon is raised), hope this helps.

In regard to fighting zombies back, that's not possible without a weapon, so you did the right thing by trying to avoid them.

Thanks Chasm, as mentioned above via Carlos, I'm sure i tried all the keys. F or E tend to be used as action keys so I did try them. As I was also being chased by zombies, I may have missed the collision mesh. Thanks for posting, appreciated.
