Downloaded it, but unfortunately can't play it, though may be able to play it down the road. Get an error like texture rendering too big. Seems to be a memory thing. I only have the minimum amount, 2GB, and not upgradeable on this ancient machine. But it also may be my ancient graphics, which I may be able to upgrade with a used guard, and that may be worth it, because may be able to use after I retire this machine. Or it may be that I'm running out of disk space, which is certainly. But, unfortunately, no review, or at least impressions.

NOTE: this is another of those Toomky game that won't work on a 32 bit machine UNLESS you go into the game folder and click on the Game icon, not the games title icon. And you'll have to modify or delete and replace your shortcuts, if you want to use any.

A 4.2 grade on Big Fish, though the negative reviews were instructive. This is apparently not magic, but mostly robbers, smugglers, and steampunk. And they say you'll spend most of your time repairing things. An advantage is that there are 3 difficultly levels, though 1 reviewer said the hard level is pretty difficult. Not much help to find the objects you need to repair things and move closer to your final objective, closer to completing what is supposed to be essentially an adventure. There were also complaints about bugs, questionable grammar, and confusing storyline. But most found it fun. Trying to decide whether to download. Though repairing things I can get behind - I used to be an Electronics Technician - but repairing machines is on the opposite side of my ability. I'm not very mechanically inclined - though I understand how most mechanical items work - partly because I have a poor geometric sense. Of course, there are also some hidden object scenes and mini-games. In any case, hope this info. helps.

Is this exactly the same games as given away Feb 2022?

Just FYI. I've not played the game yet but wanted to get this out there for anyone having a similar problem.

When running the game, I had about a 2 inch box at the top with a few lines of code and prevented me from clicking on anything in the game. I tried the troubleshooter, DPI settings, Run as Admin, etc. but nothing worked. One of the items mentioned in the code box was denial to "screenbranding/splash.jpg". So I opened the splash configuration file in the game folder and saw that the last line read "logo1 = screenbranding/splash.jpg". I removed the line, saved the file and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I'll try to play at some point today and post a comment about the game itself but meanwhile, thank you to all who made this giveaway possible.

Today's GGOTD is a HOG created by Shaman Games in 2016 and released via Toomky Games: thanks to both for this game. The game seems to be available on all sorts of platforms: BigFishGames, Steam, Nintendo Switch (!), Amazon, etc. It was originally given away here on February 27, 2022.

Three-quarters of the reviewers on BigFishGames rated it as four stars or more; over half of all reviewers rated it five stars.

You play the game as Sam, a 13-year-old boy who is accompanied by a "helpful little robot named Tim" (huh?! oh: Renaissance meets steampunk, OK, I get it now!). Sam also has "a unique device which can read the thoughts of any character:" that'll be his Mindscope, then. ;) You (and Tim) need to discover who has cursed the Princess of Aurelia and ensure they cause no futher harm.

The game has four difficulty levels: Casual, Advanced, Expert and Custom.

Today's game is a very well done hidden object game with should I say a very immersive story. The file size of the game reflects the high quality visuals and cut scenes that draw you into the game.

This appears to be a collectors edition of the game so it gives you so many ways to control the difficulty of the game. And there are plenty of hints in game if you want them in order to complete the game easily.

There are in game achievements for accomplishing certain tasks within the game.

I can't help but re-iterate this is one of the best hidden object games I've played in a long time. Everyone will enjoy it.

Please note on today's game that this is a very large download at about 650 mb. Some people may experience internet traffic congestion in regards to download and the speed of the download may be throttled.

It also takes about perhaps 8 to 10 minutes to install once downloaded as the activation process took its time to check the server to make sure I was authorized to install it (checking the giveaway availability)

Over all this is a must have game in your library even if you don't particularly care for hidden object games.
