Installation:

Katy And Bob: Safari Cafe - Collector's Edition downloads to a 270 MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper, the set-up file and a read me). Those with multiple hard drives can save games on any drive they wish. The newly installed game is 879 MB in size. The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed by the user if you prefer:

Four shortcuts are installed to the desktop, three of which can be safely deleted (Play Online Games, MyPlayCity Games and shortcuts to a free online game which vary each week). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you uncheck the box when the additional tasks window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window)

The first Katy and Bob game was released way back in 2012, so long ago that we legitimately thought the series was already discontinued. It is now 2017 and Katy and Bob are back for a safari adventure! Can you help them run a chain of cafes in the local Safari Park?

Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe is a traditional point-and-click time management game. Each level has you running around the shop taking orders from customers, fulfilling them, and checking them out for money. The premise of the game is simple and it does not try to venture into unfamiliar territories; every feature of the game has been already done to death by other superior games in the genre. As avid Time Management fans, we found Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe to be disappointingly straightforward and the lack of mode selection also further brings the game down a notch.

The graphics in Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe are not anything to write home about. They are decent enough, but the artwork style and the color palette are incredibly outdated. For a game that took five years to develop, we expected something grander than this. On the other hand, the safari-themed soundtracks are quite charming and the sound effects are pretty much on-point.

Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe includes 60 levels that spanned across three different locations. The game also contains a standard upgrades shop and an antique shop, which allows you to buy skills upgrades with coins you earned from completing challenges. As a Collector’s Edition, the game comes with wallpapers, soundtracks, and achievements. With no bonus levels or any other substantial extra features, the Collector’s Edition tag is totally unnecessary.

Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe Collector's Edition is an amazing time management game in which you will have to manage your own restaurant and work as a waitress. The game includes a huge range of delicious meals for you to cook along with exciting challenges. Moreover, you also get to upgrade your restaurant.

The game mechanics are quite fun and easy to grasp. Using click controls, you have to serve as many customers as possible before the time runs out. To cook a dish, you have to click the ingredients in the correct order and serve it to the customers collecting heavy tips if you are quick to serve them. Each meal takes some time to cook so you will have to be swift and precise with your time management skills in the game.

Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe Collector's Edition includes a huge variety of challenges for you to complete. Each level features a target score that you have to earn in a limited amount of time by serving your customers. As you complete the objectives you get to unlock tougher challenges and unlock the coolest recipes along with valuable upgrades for your restaurant.

In order to score more and meet the target objective, you need to serve the customers as fast as you can. Each customer has a patience level and you have to make sure the level stays in the green zone in order to keep them happy with your service and receive extra tips. The game is a test of your time management skills so you will have to be one step ahead of every customer’s order.

You also get to upgrade your restaurant as you complete different levels using the cash that you will earn in the game. Upgrade the tables, stands, cooking equipment, fruit baskets and much more. Each upgrade that reduce cooking times, increase the customer’s patience level and unlock more recipes, helping you reach the target objective with ease.

There are cool achievements in the game for you to unlock. Each achievement can be unlocked after completing a certain task like serving 10 customers, making 10 orders of burgers and much more. You can earn cash by unlocking these achievements to install the much needed upgrades to your restaurant.

Katy and Bob: Safari Cafe Collector's Edition brings the coolest graphics that will keep you hooked to the game till the end. You get to enjoy a colourful themed restaurant with great detailing of characters and smooth game transitions. Moreover, sound effects and background tunes make the game even more enjoyable for the players.

Conclusion:

Katy and Bobs Safari Cafe is a colourful time management game with everything you'd expect of this genre. I don't usually enjoy this type of game, but this one kept me playing far longer than usual. I'd score it an 8 out of 10 for game play. Well worth downloading, especially if you like TM games.

If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Katy And Bob: Safari Cafe to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game is blocked by their security (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not) because Themida code has been known to hide malware, so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though they are actually free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. In the almost 11 years theis game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
