I just heard about this game recently have after hearing the soundtrack to it and watching a few videos I have to say that this is once nice shooter and everyone who is a fan of this genre of game should have this game.

Hey ya people! Really great game but i beat all the pirates down and now i want to play something similar with JnG. There is a milion of games but its boring to download them all so if anybody know some other good shooter game....!!!!!!!!!! Tell meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!1

Simply the GREATEST ARCADE SHOOTER EVER MADE!! The massive amounts of customizable ships, weapons, and items combine for an awesome experience of mass destruction! And to the people who don't give this game a try because its only 800x600, you are ******. High resolution is not needed for this type of game. I beat this game after a week or so and its the best shooter ever, including the Raiden series, Gradius, Strikers, Blackhawk Striker, all of them.

It is fairly safe to say this is the best game of its kind. Thanks to GameGiveaway for offering it. It is for the best that most of the daily games here are nowhere near this compulsively good, otherwise we would all be spending even more time in front of the computer than we already do.

Wow, this game is awesome... i just finished it

Hey anyone help downloaded this game but can't shoot, what keys do i use? The config keys are okay only that i can't shoot, do i need 2 buy stuffs?

Positives...
1) High production values for both audio and video.
2) Lots of flash and destruction. Just about everything goes BOOM!
3) Buying and upgrading equipment is always a good feature in a shooter.
4) Runs very well even with a poor graphics card (Nvidia 7300). At least, up to level 2 (see below).

Negatives...
1) Hiding enemies behind foreground structures is NOT COOL. Sometimes you never even see what killed you.
2) I only made it as far as the second mission before I quit in disgust after they ship I was escorting ran itself into a wall.

I really liked this shooter. The music is great and it's fun to be able to destroy so much of the landscape. Only problem was that some of the weapons in higher levels made the game laggy, even on a PC with way more than the minimum system requirements. It's still good, though.

difficult to comprehend,your joking right,this game is realy simple!

and you cant shoot because your weapons arent equiped dummy,or your not using the right keys!



the game works fine for me,easy to understand to,also this has a great difficulty level,novice is nnovice,but it isnt easy,it might take a couple of trys to finish a level,also try configuring diffrent weapons.

Good game, and much better music than usually. The variety in upgrades makes the game good, but in the playing mode it's not so surprising as I expected when I read all those comments. So in a scale from 0-10 I give the program 7 points.

Also Dragon (Comment 17) and others: I just downloading the game with the regular (larger print) link and there seems to be a problem with it. I used the "Mirror link #1" link and it is downloading fine.

Hey Dragon (Comment 17): Find out where the file was downloaded and saved, then use windows explorer to go to the file for activation/set-up.

Otherwise, try using a different browser to download the game. If you have no other browser, hurry-up and check the internet to download one; there are a lot of free ones out there, like Firefox, Avant, Opera, Deepnet Explorer, AOL Explorer, etc. I, myself, use Firefox; I think it is faster than Internet Explorer and I love all the Add-Ons that I can get for it...Gosh, there must be hundreds of them.

Anyway, good luck getting the game activated and set up. Remember to read the read-me file that is in the downloaded folder for the game.

Exactly! I no longer have a working download accelerator and nowhere NEARLY enough time to download. DAP kept giving me autoresponses to the problem with their software and finally quit. I'd like to give it a try, but can't. Is there a 'lite' version they can offer?

This game sux (and I do like shoot em up games!). Difficult to comprehend. Always have to restart instead of continuing. When I buy an upgrade weapon the ship doesn't shoot.

Not sure if all you guys are getting paid off but this is not even worth it for free.

I usually don't like shooting games, but this is so fun!!! Thank you GOTD, I wouldn't have even tried this normally, but under the "What the Heck" clause, I downloaded it and I'm hooked!
I got a bad/incomplete file from the main site, but tried again at the mirror site and had no problems. 1280 X 1024 on a 15" VA looks super.

I truly fun game. I've tried about 20 games offered on here, and this is by far the best.

#38. While your post contains some truth, it still stands that a higher resolution game has the ability to look better than a lower resolution one. That is, with the given resolution of 640x480 even with the best programmers, it still will not look as good as the best 1024x768, because there simply aren't enough pixels there.

"1024*768 is not better than 320*240" With that reasoning, just because HD-DVD's are 1080p doesn't necessarily mean they are better than iPod videos. This is true, but a generalization can be made by even the least intelligent person that most HD-DVDs are better than iPod Videos and most games that run at 1280x1024 look better than games running at 640x480.

This game is really good. Poor people who judge games by their resolution - I'm sorry for them.

Man anyone who complains about a max resolution of 640*480 is wack. DOOM, a game that started a gaming revolution, does not run at a resolution any higher than 640*480 - does this mean we should all just forget about it? Nope. I play the game on a daily basis. Resolution doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the overall quality a game. If the graphics are nice enough and the gameplay is solid, it really shouldn't matter.

I dont rate your humanity by the low amount of thinking that goes into your posts, so dont rate games by their resolution.

640*480 and 800*600 are good for 2d games.
This has nothing to do with bad programming style and 1024*768 is not better than 320*240, its different.

The wiki confirms it's 640x480, but screenshots look great anyway.

Very nice game. Thank you, GGAOTD. If anyone has been holding off waiting for GGOTD. to offer a nice game, this is it. Even you poor souls on slow dial up. The waiting time on dial up is so worth it for this game.

@17 .. try the mirror link; I get the same response when the main server is swamped with downloads.

Strongly recommend this one, it just kicks ass! Probably the best scrolling shooter I've ever played. Don't worry about the resolution, it's nice and crispy, the same with sounds. The main theme is btw by great SIDmetal band Machinae Supremacy.
(and the autors are from Czech like me, which adds another point)

And yes it IS hard, you have to play around with various weapon configurations for each level.

This is a bitmapped sidescroller and no inflatable 3d game. What do you expect? If you stretch bitmaps to larger sizes they will start to look blurry - think of that bejwelled clone some weeks ago if unsure.

I prefer sharp and crisp images. Besides if your monitor does 1280x960 you have nothing to worry as the 640x480 will be 1:1 upscaled with no artifacts.
