Hi! At first I thought it was the same old and wouldn't like it, but its a very cute game. It does
have the same elements as the last couple that were in that vein ac oouple of weeks ago. There is some
cute added features like dino and stars added to the familiar fireworks!!! Nice!! You do basically have to
perform one task at at a time to move on, but each level is not completely the same and gives a little variety.
The graphics are good and play is smooth. Thanks for another great game and have a great week also! Lee

Fun game. It is nice to be able to see the little characters running around doing things as 3D figures with some size to them instead a flat representation.
I like the building time management games.
This downloaded quick and installed just fine (turned off Norton for the 5-10 seconds it took to activate etc. the setup file).

Thanks for this one. I was wearing out on the TM style but the stunning graphics and easier game play fit right with my time frame. Just don't have the mental juice to stick with the more labor intensive (earlier?) versions of this genre. You know the ones with all that click, click, and more click to get workers and endless piles to remove, rebuild. Do one game and that's enough for this genre. Surprised me too to find something at least a bit dif.
Windows 10 x 64 Pro.

I did a little more light research for this one because I was undecided about downloading, so thought I'd share the little insight I found because I might not have time to try the download and post about it before the give away is over. 1st, let me confirm and clarify what nibo said. Seems clear that Jack was developed originally for PC and released in 2010 by Divo games. The reviewer from Fun Games Reviews claims the members of the Divo development team that developed Jack went on to create Tribez later in their careers. So it seems clears that this is Tribez daddy with practically twin like DNA and it might be a great opportunity to get this progenitor of a popular game for handhelds on your PC.

The ratings and the few reviews I read were largely postive and the consensus of the latter matched what a couple of folks here said. This game isn't about challenge or game play, and, although there were interesting points against and for raised about strategy, replayability, and mechanics, these really weren't big issues for most. The consensus on this game is that the charm and fun of this game's design trumps all and that's it's appeal - that the charm of the world makes it worth trying.

In general, I'm of 2 minds on time management games, as I've said here before. I'm a big match 3 fan, so I like the escape of that kind of repititive concentration game. However, for me, too many time management games are grinding rat races. I know where to find that if I want it. For most of us that's called work. And you can even get some pay for that, although it's usually often unfair and inadequate token pay. :) On the other hand I've enjoyed some TM games that had enough strategy to hold the interest, and a clock that wasn't an impossible task master - like a couple of games given away here years ago such as the flawed (but I found addictive) 2 versions of Be A King or some of the Jane's Hotel series or Gourmania. On the other hand there was a Roman Empire era city building game whose name escapes me that turned me off with it's charmless grind. Basically I think this is a good way to evaluate TM games. Will be interesting to see where people think this one fits into that spectrum. If I have time I'll play a little and post again, but a lot on the plate today.

I love this game. Have replayed many times. I'm on a new computer so I'm definitely grabbing this one. I say there is no way to improve this game. It's great just the way it is. Good job on this one.

The Game:
Where on earth did this game come from? I went into Jack of all Tribes with no expectations, and I left with one of my personal favorite iPhone experiences in quite some time. It’s a great-looking, easy-to-play, quick-to-load game with lots to offer. To top it all off, it even has good dialogue telling a pretty interesting story.
You begin the game with little context as you climb onto a ride at some undefined carnival. It’s a log flume ride that pretty much jettisons you off into the prehistoric past where underdeveloped tribes automatically accept you as their leader saying that the fates brought you to them. From there you and an attractive woman named Rainbow, who acts as your guide, move from tribe to tribe commanding the inhabitants to work. Your character makes references to modern day luxuries much to confusion of Rainbow, and even makes fun of the tribes beliefs. It can be humorous, and even seems to subtly poke fun at organized religion. Every word out of your mouth is unpredictable, and makes the text between levels worth paying attention to. When it comes to iOS games, usually you’ll be clicking through the text as quickly as you can.

Jack of all Tribes is a resource management game. Each tribe you come upon needs homes built, food and gold gathered and assorted repairs implemented. There isn’t much to get in your way of relegating tasks to the tribesmen, other than the occasional fire, or enemy who can be either tapped away, or scared away if you’ve got a pet dinosaur.
Attending to the assorted needs of the tribes is as simple as tapping what you need. Want to cut down that tree for wood? Tap it. Want to feed the hungry worker? Tap the food supply. Want to build a house? Tap the empty lot. You won’t be assigning jobs to specific tribesmen, or carefully delegating a certain number of people to a certain task, it’s all automatic.
It’s not a difficult game by any means. The challenge comes from doing things quickly, but you are never on a timer. The simplicity of it all will definitely turn off fans of games like Civilization, but as a arcade game, it works really well. It doesn’t require a whole lot of thought, but you still get all the satisfaction and reward that comes from building a tribe from nearly scratch.
Occasionally you will come upon rifts in time where things like airplanes or pirate ships from future eras will suddenly appear in the middle of your map. When this happens, you enter a find the hidden object sort of minigame that serves as a very entertaining distraction from the main game. Hidden in these, uh, hidden picture minigames, are items that will increase the capabilities of your tribesmen in a number of ways. They will become faster, stronger, or need to eat with less frequency. Collecting these items permanently upgrades your workers lending these objects a lot of value. Not only are the rifts cool to see, but they are rife with excellent power-ups.

The art and animation of the game is incredibly colorful and detailed. Your workers are fully animated as they pick up pumpkins, or put together houses, which means you could very easily get distracted watching them work. You rarely have a chance to slow down though, which goes the same for the game itself. During my entire playthrough, I never encountered any slowdown of action, despite having all my workers tasked simultaneously. Visually and technically, it’s impressive all around.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect with Jack as I initially stated, but I am impressed. I don’t mind saying that this is one of my favorite iOS games to date. It’s fast paced without being frustrating, incredibly rewarding, has a great style, good music and to top it all off, the narrative isn’t half bad. It’s a bit pricey at $4.99 on the iPad, and the iPhone version needlessly functions as a download for free, but purchase fully in app sort of game, but it really is worth it. Don’t let this one pass you by.

Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Jack of all Tribes to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try whitelisting the setup.gcd file. In the almost 11 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank MyPlayCity for giving away Jack of all Tribes and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games.
