Invention 2
In Brief
The follow up to Invention, with very similar graphics, though set in a city instead of a laboratory. There's no key and you don't need to actually play the browser games you visit via the buttons above. There's no registration required, though you do require a Facebook account to complete the final task. Although Invention is a Steam game, you do not require Steam to play this version. Once you've completed all of the above tasks an email is sent to the one you provide here. The email includes a download link and instructions for a free standing version of the game. Unlike the first game, which was given away last week, there is no quoted expiration date toi the download link you receive via email, but I would download the game as soon as possible once you've received it. Once you've downloaded the file, you can install the game anywhere, anytime, and on any computer. The developer Falcoware giving this game away asks that if you enjoy playing the game would you please post reviews or feedback via Steam HERE (you need to log in before you can post a review); thank you.. Please do check out the in-game videos of gameplay HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE and almost 40 images via a slideshow HERE before you complete the tasks to see if you think you'll enjoy playing this budget first person zombie shooter with rpg elements.
Installation:
downloads to a 436 MB zip file that unzips to three files, (a setup.gcd security wrapper, the set up file and a read me). Those with multiple hard drives are able to save games on any drive they wish. The newly installed game is 2.16 GB in size. The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed by the user if you prefer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Invention 2
Five shortcuts are installed to the desktop. four of which can be safely deleted (Falco Space - Online Game! - Онлайн Игра!, FalcoGo WebGL Games - 3Д Онлайн Игры!, FalconLine Online Games Website andFree Games - Бесплатные Игры! ). If you want a desktop shortcut, make sure you check the appropriate box during installation. The installed game is similar to MyPlaycityGames in that the loading screen from Falco Software includes some static adverts and when you close the game down your browser is opened to their website.
Introduction:
A continuation of the first part of the game Invention. While you was on the island exploring the underground laboratory, the infection was busy spreading throughout the world. In this episode, you have to go through a city.

The Game:
Review 1:
Invention 2 is a first-person zombie survival shooter with RPG elements and is the sequel to the first game Invention.. The controls are the usual shooter controls, which you can find via the How to Play button in the main menu. Unfortunately there's no way to change the keyboard settings, so if like me you prefer non conventional key bindings, you're out of luck. The premise of the game is basically the same as the first game, i.e. survive the continual onslaught of zombie, though I'd hardly call it an onslaught. If you've ever played the Left 4 Dead or Killing Floor series, you'll kniw what I mean by an onslaught of zombies. Invention see's you attacked by a dribble of zombies most of the time and they are easy to kill. I found the machete the most effective weapon. Using any of the guns is hit and miss. sometimes a head shot dropped a zombie with one shot, but not always and even at close range sometimes it required three or four shots to drop a zombie. You are provided with a pistol at the beginning of the game and once outside the building you spawn in (on the roof) you soon come across a weapons shop where you'll find a shotgun an automatic rifle, ammo, some food and first aid and armour. Unlike the first game this is more open world.
Invention 2 is only £0.39/$0.49 on Steam at the moment ((51% off). The graphics remind me of FPS games I bought 15 years ago, apart from that, the game is okay and for free you can't go wrong, espcially if you like zombie games. If you like Invention 2 and missed the first one, you can either get it from Steam HERE or you can get both games for free HERE and HERE (similar site to MPC except not as many free games available).

Conclusion:
If you don't mind the retro graphics circa 2000 it's not a bad game, especially wen yu consider the game sells for less than a pound/dollar when not on sale. I did get a little motion sickness after playing the game for about half an hour, and as I have oad sof zombie games such as Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, Killing Floor, 7 days to Die, Rust, The Walking Dead, Day Z, Dead Space and Dead Rising to name just a few, I doubt I'll be playing this one much; however, if you don't have any zombie games, give this one a try. :)
Suggestions:
If the giveaway doesn't grab you, then please move on to the next giveaway, or check out the forums HERE, HERE and HERE, where a few members of the community post details of various free games and free game sites as well as links to various indie bundle sites etc; you never know, you may find something that really interests you.
Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having any problems with the game please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments (if there are any) because sometimes fixes have already been posted.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to download the latest game or other issues that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Falco for giving away Invention 2 and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games.
When I did the tasks for the game it said only 10,000 would get it, I did the requirements saw a link for free game on FB & clicked on it & it brought me back here & now says (The download link was sent to your email address.) But I have yet to get it.
Hi Tobin, if you've previously used a different email to enter one of the giveaways check that email as well. If you still can't find a download link for the game, take a screen capture of the completed tasks, and send the image (using an image site such as Photobucket or postimage.org) plus the email and name you usedto enter to the giveaway team. You can find their contact form at the bottom of the home gamegiveaway page.
I messaged the giveaway team via the contact link & informed them of the problem with a screenshot as advised, They sent me a link for download but the link was the dreaded 404 error. I messaged them back via email reply but have not gotten a reply or another link yet. Do I need to contact them via the contact link instead of the email reply?
There's a limit to what I'm prepared to do to win a $0.49 game! "The game is available for $0.49, but the winners of our contest will get it for free." I think I'll have a look at gameplay videos, and, if I like the game, I'll just pay the 49 cents.
Hi Walter, The links just open up the game pages, you don't need to actually play the games. The only link that you need to do anything with apart from clicking on it is the Facebook link, where you just have to click another button to like the game. It takes literally 30 seconds to do the lot. When the pages open the developer earns cash through the adverts on the pages you visit. But there's no negative effects on your own computer..
I did everything to get the link, got the download link, and started downloading it. Then, I ran into problems on my computer and had to restart my PC (which canceled the download). Now, the link gives me Error 404, and I have no way of getting a new one (since the page already knows I did all of the acts necessary to get the link). It's a shame -- it looked somewhat promising.
Hi David, contact the giveaway team and if possible, send a screen capture showing that you've completed all of the tasks, or a copy of the email and 404 message. I'm sure they will send you a second link. also, check that when you paste the link you're not including a space in the address. Often when copying a link from an email a space is included, which needs to be deleted. If you still fail to get a download link from the giveaway team. I already purchased this game but also applied for a link which I don't really need, so will email it to you if I see a message from you saying you didn't get any reply from the team. Give it a few days though.

Thanks but, how can I submit a screenshot a day later? After I submitted them all yesterday? Not anticipating your sucky, misleading link I failed to take screenshots of all my attempts to download your game so obviously cannot provide what you require. Why don't you just provide a proper download link like every other GOTD offer?
The game is still live so you should be able to take a screen capture of the completed tasks. If you see this message too late then still contact the giveaway team.
If you have the download link, download the game. The executable you receive is already registered, so you can install the game anytime anywhere on any computer.
Hi Arnon, take a screen capture of the completed tasks or the emiail you received explaining what the issue is, and send the proof (using a image site such as Photobucket or postimage.org) with the email and name you used to the giveaway team. You can find their contact form at the bottom of the home page.

Ich kann den Facebook-Share button nicht anklicken, bzw. passiert nichts wenn ich darauf klicke.
Es ist kein Adblocker oder ähnliches installiert !

I'd rather pay the .49 cents than click on all the links and play a bunch of crappy games.

Alexa , so why does the email that sends us the download link ask us to leave a review on Steam? It would mean we need to purchase the game there.
