Thanks.

Runs and plays well on Win 10 laptop. Kind of cute, up to the point where I just realized I have no stone block to pick up, and I need some to finish level 6. I guess that means I have to play it over again ? I guess it is a fun way to waste some time for a while. Works well in any case. Thanks for the game.

Good solid time/resource management game, so far very similar to the others in the series. I like that it has certain options, like 3 different playing modes (I recommend 'multi-click' which lets you select more tasks than you have workers available), and being able to turn off the music *and voices* which I find repetitive and annoying. The first 5 levels I found kind of tedious because there's only one worker and you spend a lot of time just watching him run back and forth. After that you can add more which helps the game move along better. The tutorial is helpful, and can be turned off at any time.
So it's a keeper for me. Thanks GGOTD and MPC.

Not my kind of game. I played a few levels and uninstalled.
I don't know what the problem was with yesterday's game. I have an up to date Win 10 computer and it worked fine for me.

Thumbs up for offering & assume it works unlike yesterday's mess. But not for me as this genre getting to be too much like grunt work. Do this, then more of this, then repeat on next lane. We've had just too many of these lately I guess. Kept a couple that had some wit to them but this looks like doing chores.

Incredible Dracula Chasing Love (another game in this series) is a very enjoyable game. Need to think & move quickly sometimes, but after several levels it wasn't overwhelming. Fun graphics, the story line doesn't always make sense to me but I'm looking forward to playing it again.
I haven't tried the Family Secret game but definitely will download it. If I get a chance to try it out later today I'll add another comment. Thanks GGOTD and My Play City!

I am a big fan of time management games. In this game, there is no blood and gore, just a funny Dracula and his minions, who were interrupted while they were getting their hair done and must now go and save the day. Each board has a unique little humorous twist with enough of a challenge to make you want to go back and do it over. It's very difficult to lose this and the previous Dracula game - what happened to to Incredible Dracula I and II? I would happily pay for those!

I have Bitdefender anti-virus, I have to shut it down every time I download from this site. With the last version I didn't, but with the newer version I have to. Also, Bitdefender never deletes files without your permission, but it does have an irritating habit of blocking harmless web sites.

I installed Bitdefender a couple of weeks ago. I uninstalled it after it started deleting files from the games I downloaded from here.

Bas, GGOTD has never given away any infected files. What your AV regards as "suspicious behaviour" is the perfectly normal operation of the Themida 'wrapper' used to protect and time-limit GGOTD files. Note that Bitdefender reports this as GENERIC, which basically means 'this isn't a virus I recognise, but I don't like what this program is doing.'
As has been said here many times before, certain AV programs (Bitdefender and AVG to name but two) do need to be TEMPORARILY switched off for the two minutes or less it will take for that part of the installer to complete. For AVG, you specifically have to switch off "Behavior Shield;" I'm not familiar with Bitdefender so can't advise you on that. When you see the MyPlayCity-branded installer dialog, you can re-enable your AV and the GGOTD will install.
If you're not happy to disable your AV, fine; but I can assure you it IS a false positive (and yes, I have checked the file here).

Cad Delworth, I would rather trust Bitdefender. Most Games and Program's have no problem installing. If Bitdefender has a problem, then so do I.

Robert G., Then you have a problem Bitdefender like most Virus programs out there are known to give false findings its normal.
And all it take is for it to look to much and you can find issues with every single program or game you installed if you want as the way all files works are like a Virus but Bitdefender know to ignore most of them for you.
No Give away of the day is not a Virus.
I mean most of the better Anti Virus programs out there do not find problems with this game or other programs soo maybe you should considor that.

Bas, my Avast anti-virus always blocks installations from this site, so I simply turn it off when installing games from here.
Giveaway of the Day's files are never infected, and many anti-virus programs mistake their wrapper for a virus. It's a false positive, and you can safely ignore it.

Bas, I have Norton and it has an option to allow a program that it has blocked. The first time it blocks a program from here I go into Norton and select the blocked program in the security history and then select the option that tells it to allow it. Every so often I have to do it again but it saves me from having to turn off Norton and the remember to turn it back on

Cad Delworth, what you say it partially true and also not entirely relevent since the tmp file is in the games program files folder NOT the users temp folder which is where themidia stores its temporary stub files only during installation. Also as Jerry posts he experienced bitdefender detecting problems with previously installed game giveaways are and proceeded to delete component files. That could not be due to Themidia setup wrapper that only shows as a problem during installation process itself and only in the users temp folder and not in the installed programs folder.. So something else is being detected by bit-defender as a generic trojan. If I was Bas I'd unquaranteen the tmp file and submit it to virustotal manually see what it says... I'd also look at the files contents in a hex editor to see if it contains anything that gives a clue what it is and what it is attempting to do. Assuming EVERY detection by an anti-malware program is a false positive and always down to Themidia setup wrapper is a dangerous course of action in this day and age. Especially when the file is not in a location ever used by Themida wrapper!

Nimras, I suggest that it is quite possible that anti-malware programs could detect the compulsion that mplaycity games have to launch their website everytime the game exits could be classed as a generic bad act and anything connected to that unsolicited browser launch could conceivably be flagged as generic trojan activity. Once a program distributed by giveaway of the day websites is installed there is normally no giveaway specific code left behind in the installations program or appdata folders so no one is claiming giveaway of the day is a virus! Or even the installer as being a virus... BTW the detection Trojan.GenericANYTHING is NOT a Virus detection but an unexpected or potentially unwanted behaviour detection not a pattern detection.

Bas,
It's because of the Themidia wrapper they put on the downloads that prevent people from hacking the games.
There are no virus' on these games, I've been downloading them for 15 years and never had a virus. I have to turn off my AVG when downloading and installing these games. Then I turn it back on later, and it's fine.

nibo1978,
No, there is no infection.
The Giveaway project has been very careful to make sure there are no infections ever in any of the software they offer. Both the programs and games are perfectly safe. If you are still worried about this after all these years that they have given away software and never had a problem, then maybe you should stop trying to download from here and just go buy the games.
