Hungry Star is a modern take on the classic Snake arcade game, where you control a cheerful, hungry star racing across the screen to collect food items.

Your goal is to gather as many food items as possible. Each collected item extends your trail, forming a line of food behind the star. With every new item, your speed gradually increases. The game ends if you collide with the walls, enemies, or your own trail.

Starting from the third collected item, enemies appear on the field: a hostile red star or a spinning circular saw. Collisions with them also end the game.

Two temporary power-ups are available, each lasting 30 seconds:
Snowflake — halves your movement speed,Alarm Clock — doubles your movement speed.

Controls:
Arrow keys — move the star,S — start a new game,P — pause,M — toggle music and sound effects on/off,Q — quit the game,Esc — return to the main menu.

The game features upbeat, cheerful background music that enhances the playful, cosmic racing atmosphere.

After the game ends, your current score is displayed. Your all-time high score is automatically saved between sessions and shown on the results screen.
