Installed without a problem. Without instructions it's tough to figure out but luckily there was a link to a video that helped to get me started. (Thanks WhiteRabbit!). Combining items and grabbing items is basically all it is about. Not very long and once you get the gist of it all it's not too tough.

Thanks for the heads up about the shortcuts in the Program Files (x86).

This does not appear to be a HOG. It looks more like an escape game. I haven't spent much time on it but there don't seem to be any hidden object scenes.

Plays in Flashplayer, need to read comments here to know what to do really since no help or instructions in game. In addition to the desktop shortcuts, this installer places internet shortcuts in your root Program Files directory, where they have no business. If you uninstall this game be sure to look there as I have had this company leave things about.

All the text is in Russian or something. Can't figure out which icon to click on at the opening page.

Might want to check your Program Files directory for shortcuts. For some reason some games install stuff there along with the program files. I found shortcuts in the root Program Files, not in the game directory. They are NOT removed when you uninstall the game, like some of the shortcuts to the game site remain.

The shortcuts can be deleted without affecting the game. The actual game shortcut links to the Falcoware installer which contains non malicious adware. the advert shown while the game is booting up earns money, which is shared between Falcoware and the developer of the game, who is allowing the game to be given away free. This is how all the free game site operate now.

This installs quite a number of unwanted extra games and links along with the game. I'm uninstalling. Not worth it for a game worth only $2.99.

Home Darkness - Escape, is a basic Hidden Object game, you will combine items, resolve puzzle, and find treasure! It#s a flash based game originally ported over from iOS.

The Game

Starodymov the developer have given us (via Falcoware Games) several games since August last year, including Aqua Fish, Stickman Destruction 1,2 and Stickman Jetpack, Dima Rescues Ira and Rescue Lucy. Home Darkness - Escape uses the same game mechanic as Rescue Lucy and is a simple hidden Object adventure game. You search for clues, which are kept in an inventory. Some clues have to be combined before you can use them. When combining you choose the first item then click on the inward pointing arrows then click on the second item that is required to combine the items together. This will then appear in the action window below the combining arrow icon.

I won't describe any of the game content because it is quite a short game and I don't want to include too many spoilers in this comment about the game (though all the videos and some of the images below DO contain spoilers, so don't watch them unless you are stuck. You can see mainly negative (88% -ve from 18 comments) via the Steam community reviews of this game HERE. We get a free standing version of the game courtesy of Falcoware Games.

Conclusion

It's not one of those glossy, hidden Object games we've got to know, but it works and will give you a short break from other more in depth games. I would say, it's ideal for a decent coffee break, but I wouldn't pay the going price of £2.09/$2.99/€2.39 which you'll find over in the Steam store HERE. From tomorrow it will most likely be on sale in the Steam Summer Sale 2020 which starts tomorrow the 25th June.
