Highway Racer 2 is a runner like car game made with Unity where you have to avoid hitting traffic.

Introduction:
You can choose one of the fastest cars which suits you best, and you can change its colour, rims, and increase manoeuvre, acceleration and brake capabilities. You can get more credits and scores as long as you do not make accident along challenging highway, then you can use this credits to get new cars and modify them.

The Game:
Highway Racer 2 is a car game where you have to avoid traffic. There are four modes of play One Way, Two Way, Time Attack and Speed Bomb. Whichever you select, you can then choose a clear day, night or a rainy day environment. In the Speed bomb mode you have to keep your vehicle moving above 80Km/hr. If you crash, there is an indicator on the left that shows the bomb timer reducing. If you can get back up to speed before the timer reaches zero, it will over a short time recover. If you fail to reach the optimum speed the bomb blows up.

When you 'inevitably' crash into a vehicle a score board appears that shows you how much you earned. Money earned is divided into four different categories i.e. Total Distance travelled, Near misses, Keeping above 100Km per hour and opposite direction. As you progress you earn money, which can (supposedly} be used to buy upgraded vehicles. Unfortunately the money you earn doesn't appear to carry forwards if you stop then restart the game or just select go back to the main menu. To be able to spend the money on upgrades, you have to use the continue button, but in the time I've played the game, I've not seen how to go back to be able to choose a different car. Also, the ability to change the colour of your vehicle and the wheel rims also seems to be broken because the choices when selected via the three buttons below the select car/options and Credits bar i.e. a paint brush, wheel and cogs are blocked by the games tittle.

This is actually quite a playable runner game apart from the issues with the menus and the ability to upgrade your vehicles. It's still worth downloading and is ideal for coffee breaks or in between more in depth games. The four different modes gives plenty of re-playability. There are two buttons to the top right of the games screen a camera, that allows you to change the
perspective from top down to behind the wheel and in between. as well as a pause button.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 57 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed). The installation does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page when the game has been installed, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free.
