Galactic Battles was available as a giveaway on November 8, 2019!
Galactic Battles is a complex 2D top-down space shooter in which you have to fight with alien invaders. The essence of this game is to go through a very long space journey where you will come across a variety of enemies, with a variety of weapons. But don't worry, at your disposal is also not a bad arsenal. Regular shots, super missiles, mega missiles will allow no difficulty to repel and destroy the enemy attack. Also to ease your path space will allow so-called upgrades, collecting them in every way you will improve your spaceship. Follow all the steps mentioned above and this game will not let you get bored. Good luck!

Thank you very much for pointing out that i would not be able to use my QUERTZ for this game. So i will gladly pass and maybe there will be an AZERTY comment soon passing through, who knows. We should get those developers some heads up.
Vielen lieben Dank Stephen.

Burni,
Hi Burni, I use a QWERTZ keyboard. It is a gaming keyboard, that has different keyboard layouts programmed into it (Razer Black Widow Ultimate Stealth), so I've been able to select the keyboard most comfortable for what I'm used to. It meant detaching the appropriate keys and placing them in the new positions.

Ah ok, that is a nice feature! But on the other Hand, i need Multimedia Keys like on my Cherry MX Board 3.0, which i can reach fast and use with one hand. I guess that with the Razer Black Widow i would have to use both hands. A problem nearly all the 394 different keyboards on the market are sharing.
And the price, of course. :) Keyboards are expensive like Swarovski-diamond-lined DDR4 memory.
Not worth it for me - and not for this one game here. ^^

Burni,
Hi Burni,
I like the Cherry MX Board 3.0 and have considered buying one as it is slightly cheaper than the Razer. When my latest Razer gives out I may just invest in one. Does it feel well built? I do like the feel of mechanical keys as opposed to the membrane keyboards that are common these days.
The Razer Black widow range have a function key that allows you to change the function of any key plus it also includes five memory keys so that you can program your keyboard with five distinct keyboard layouts. It's one of the many reasons I opted for the Razer Ultimate Stealth keyboard as not only is it a mechanical keyboard, the keys are extremely sensitive, meaning that they only require a slight touch to activate, plus you can activate several keys at the same time if you are dexterous enough. The F keys are also labelled with multimedia functions.

If you like the sensitive feel of your Razer keys then try the MX Red versions.. MX Red has 45grams pressure! I had tested the MX Red and it might work well for you. I got the Cherry MX Board with MX Blacks (65grams) for a cheap 36€ and those keys are much better... really perfect for me!
The real downside of the MX-Board 3.0 is the lack of LED lighting. Some external light to write is necessary, i always miss the u, i, o, p in the dark linux terminal.. And thats the only thing i would complain about this keyboard. I may get some white keys with black markings or some keyboard stickers later if i ever feel like it.

Oh and yes, it feels pretty much well built. Also, a real PCB with soldered components inside. Typing sounds are not too loud.

Burni,
Ah yes, the lighting. I'd forgotten about that.
That would definitely have to be a prerequisite if I was to purchase a Cherry. Not multicloured ones though as i find those a little too distracting (though I like the idea of being able to program specific keys if there are lots of different key bindings required for example, one of my helicopter sims has over 300 key bindings and combinations., so colour coding would be a useful thing to have, but generally as mentioned above i'd find it too distracting..
I have two Black Widow keyboards, one with blue back lighting and one with Green. One is a Ultimate Stealth version and the other is an Ultimate. Apart from the back lighting, the only other difference is the noise made when you depress the mechanical keys. The Ultimate Stealth version is much quieter than the ultimate version; (almost as quiet as a membrane version).

Whiterabbit-uk, hello again.
What do you think about the Corsair K70? It has the lighting you want and the exclusive Multimedia Keys that i like, combined in a very expensive keyboard - I have seen used ones on ebay for 60 Euros though. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that model.

Burni, Nice, I've thought about buying the multi coloured key version at one point. Though until my Razer keyboards are worn out I doubt I'll be replacing them. I've had one since 2011 and the other since 2013 and both are still looking like new, well actually the older once has a couple of sticky keys becasue my daughter spilled orange juice on it a few years ago and the O key looks well worn as the O is looking more like a circle now, otherwise absolutely fine. I think the keys that are a little sticky need a bit of WD40 to loosen the orange juice stickiness, lol. I've also got a non mechanical Razer that was released when Starcraft 2 was released and is in the style of the game, but I never use that one now as I really don't like membrane based keyboards. I actually purchased it for my son, but he then wanted the same keyboard as me, so I purchased a third Razer Black Widow Stealth and swapped it. The only thing I like about it is that i doesn't have the keypad keys so its narrower and fits in one of our study desks that has a small keyboard drawer.

Whiterabbit-uk, I can totally relate, I use my stuff until its worn out or broken, except for the mainboard, cpu and graphics card. And the good thing about mechanical keyboards is, they shouldn't ever fail.
I just realized how serviceable your Razer keyboard is.

Awesome engineering quality done by Razer there, i must admit i wouldnt have expected that, since for example, Razer mouses fail all the time within two years of usage.. giving Razer a general bad reputation of short durability on their product range.
I would not use WD40 on those switches though. I tried to repair a Scythe Slipstream with light oil https://geizhals.de/scythe-slip-stream-120-1200rpm-sy1225sl12m-a294633.html which is, by the way, according to the computerbase.de-Forum, a fan that will always fail sometime within 5 years.
And the oil vaporized away over a relatively short period of time, it was mounted on a WD30EFRX and got stuck like before the repair after just some months. So, I used fairly old oil for the next time.. about 10 years old motor oil this time. Man, I can tell you that old 15W-40 motor oil has properties i never could have imagine to expect. All light oil components have surely evaporated, since that oil had been stored with a BROKEN lid on the canister. That Scythe is running like new for about 9 months now, really. I wonder how long that will last, but since all the light oil should already have evaporated, i am pretty sure that my Scythe fan has some pretty good mileage ahead. So go ahead, try some motor oil out on just one switch on your Razer keyboard. That stuff is so awesome it just cannot fail.
And props to your son, of course he dont like to use rubberband keyboards. Once he experienced a mechanical keyboard, there is just no going back. ^^ Nothing beats mechanical keys! I have compared the feeling to an old Logitech G15 and a Sharkoon Skiller Pro. Both rubberband. Both absolutely rubbish against the mechanical feeling. But well, the Logitech G15 is the only keyboard i got that is able to install Windows 7 on my Ryzen 2600 System with PS/2-Adapter, so it will forever remain in my inventory of mass-destruction-all-purpose-just-get-the-job-done-hardware. It will just work for sure in any zombie apocalypse war environment. ;)

Burni,
I watched that video all the way trough and was really impressed with his presentation. (I left a comment on his channel and also said I liked his mural using computer components. :)
I also keep an old Logitech G15, which was the first gaming keyboard I ever purchased and is still in use on one of my older computers. I was impressed with it at the time so ended up buying other Logitech hardware such as a 7:1 surround system, and the older Saitek X52 Hotas Flight Controller and G27 steering wheel and gear shifter system. all of which are still going strong after around 15 years. Though the rubberised hand grip on the flight controller has become a little sticky (I don't use it very often)
