someone have ever said that double games might use their games that offered here to attract people to buy other games in their website. Even if that's right, I don't think it's a good practice. Honestly, they are selling unoriginal idea with flash-game like graphics, which according to me more appropriate for freeware games (take a look at miniclip.com).

Game is an art. It's not just a mean to get money. It's like writing a play or making a movie. You can't create a good movie or play if the actor do not know how to do acting and the story have no quality. Don't even expect people will spend money for it.

I have been visiting GGAOTD since march. I see that now more people become more critical, not only whining or complaining anymore. Critics and feedback is always needed to become better, especially for a software program. You actually let people to test your software without any fee (some company have to pay people for testing software) and report the bugs or weaknesses, so that later the software can be improved. I wonder, whether Double games take all the comment and feedback here seriously...

now for the games comment, I wonder why the games offered by double games here doesn't have its own homepage in their website...the games itself is quite addicting at the beginning..how you race with the time to explode the gadget by arranging the electrical cable..but, when the level advanced, its only adding the number of gadgets that need to be exploded..the time limit is still 2 minutes (if I'm not wrong)..no bonus item..and the game layout is not changed..

well, hope double games note that and give better quality games in the future...Thanks for GGAOTD team for the hardwork =)

have a nice day everyone =)

To 52Kid, (During the Flowery Game Giveawayoftheday)

I Like to specially thanks you for teaching us to re-download the same game at the same seller website which fix the crash problem. It fix my crash problem. I was pretty disappointed before as it crash during one of the higher stages of the game and I am hook with it(after playing for hours). So now I can continue to play this game. This is one of the best dl game I have over here. (since the 'bug' was fix).

I have came to this website every single day since Game Giveaway of the Day was launched. I've seldom posted on the forums and this is to be my last and only negative comment. I accepted these atrocious games at first in hopes that they would become better. There have been several good games but for every one I enjoy there are a slew of 20 mind numbingly bad to follow. As for GGotD's promise to get better software after more recognition has been obtained, it has yet to be accomplished. I am giving this website a rest for a while and will return in four or five months, assuming this endeavor still exists.

#4 Learn when to capitalize and how to use punctuation before starting to question others education. Also, learn the difference between criticism and "juvenile dross that spouts from their uneducated mouths".

#18 You are my hero today! Thanks for the laughs and truth of your comments.

DoubleGames: Thanks for the many free games, but how about a few that show quality.

Everyone else: My opinion is that this is a typical DoubleGames game. Low quality, minimal entertainment, and over priced if you had to buy it.

Thanks for the offer GGOTD, but I (along with so many others) will be passing on this one.

XD @ #18's comment
#25- recently quite a few have been by this publisher?
While I appreciate you guys giving us free games, you're just worsening your reputation with each game you donate.

Anyway...
Bad timer. I did fine on Balloon Park and on the original one, Rocket Launcher, but this one is killing me. Didn't see any of the "numerous amazing bonuses". What is the point of blowing up random electrical items? Background is eye candy- I wouldn't get this game for anything else.

Also, I note that doublegames' file sizes are always small, meaning shorter downloads but also shorter attention span for the games.

I'm going to go ahead and say this also... "Gadget Buster"??? Now, all of the negative comments about DoubleGames aside, along with the horrible reputation they have, but honestly - just looking at the title and picture makes me say, "You gotta be kidding?" Gadget Buster? It sounds so, SO dumb.

I was disappointed in this. There is no option to turn off the music and the instructions,black on a navy background are almost unreadable.

8, best comment ever xD

Once again, the links on the right point to a DOWNLOADABLE .EXE FILE, not to a webpage with more informations on those games. This happens only with DoubleGames stuff. Why?

Wow. A 51% bad rating. That's quite impressive.

@4: You might want to consider capitalizing your sentances before calling others uneducated.

@5: Exactly. Most of the games given away here recently are those which sane people woulden't dream of paying for. They simply aren't ploished or original enough. Many of them are surpassed by freeware. With all the bad ratings recently, you'd think GOTD would get the hint.

Rocket Launcher is just a better game for many reasons. Here's what is wrong with Gadget Buster:

Hard to interpret tiles -- In Rocket launcher, the 'pipes' are thick and easy to see, and it's easy to tell the different types apart. GB's wires are pencil thin, and you have to strain your eyes to look for 3-& 4-sided contacts.

Not enough 3- or 4-sided contacts -- which are necessary in order to get the required number of explosions to progress.

No bonuses -- It's the little things in games that get me excited and add that extra 'something’: the bonus lives, time freezes, point bonuses, gems, weapon upgrades.... Whatever they might be, they add variety to game play. Gadget Buster has none.

Not enough time to complete levels -- I tried this game for a while; I didn't just play for a minute and give up. 2:00 is what you get with no exceptions, at least through level 5, which is only how far I got. And there is no saving or continuing. The number of launches needed increases by one each level, but nothing else changes. In better games, the beginning levels are easier, but this starts you off frantic.

Ok, Anything good? -- Charming graphics. Sure, I enjoyed blowing up the retro-ish-style toasters and blenders (and non-retro flat screen monitors). BUT there is no time to look at them much since I was frantically trying to win.

Maybe the maker thought they could fool us by switching the ignite/explode orientation from horizontal to vertical. I’m not fooled – this is a poor Rocket Launcher imitation. Thanks for offering it, though!

Good morning everyone! ;)

Another extremely simplistic Double Games game. And I didn't even have to look at the instructions to know how to play - that's how easy the play is - ALL the time.

This game downloaded/activated and installed seamlessly - with no issues either during set-up or play.

The graphics are lovely - cartoons, brightly colored and well done. This graphic artist knows his business and - thankfully, how to anti-alias his work. He has also animated the menu selections so that they roll back and forth horizontally, which I hadn't actually seen before.

The 'instructions screen is black text on a royal blue background, and while I didn't personally didn't have an issue with this, I can see many people unable to separate the foreground from the background - and for them, it would be a strain on their eyes. I would recommend the graphic artist amend to a much lighter colored font. There is only one page to this screen, so as previously mentioned - verrrrry easy to play.

The only other links are to 'High Scores,' 'More Games' and 'Exit.'

All options are available in-game as toggle items: Music - on/off; I'm really not sure what the next toggle is, as I can find no difference with it on or off; 'Window or full screen; and 'Exit.'

The playing field is SMALL and I mean SMALL! It seems to me, that more importance and time, has been given to the (albeit, lovely,) background graphics, instead of the actual playing field.

While this game is no different from the pipe game we got a little while ago (though somewhat better I admit,) and almost the same as the original one to create this genre - 'Rocket Mania.'

The play involves connecting the electricity mains to the proper wires. As soon as they become 'alive,' they blow up one of the kitchen appliances waiting at the bottom of the playing field.

That's it.

NO levels, NO ability to save a game, NO power-ups or anything to spice the game up a little.

As for being worth $14.95 - I seriously doubt it. It really belongs with yesterday's offer 'Butterfly Hunter,' at the bottom of the Walmart specials basket, priced at $10.00 or less.

I'm not even sure if kids would understand the concept of wires together with mains, but perhaps, if an adult explained it well to them. I'd suggest a very narrow window for the age group recommendation - say, 9 - 11, if that.

Points (out of 10)

4 - Graphics and animation;

-1 Difficult colors to read on instructions page;

-1 Playing field too small - game ends sometimes in under a minute!;

-1 No ability to save game;

1 for taking a very old game and adding a slight twist, giving it some semblance of originality;

-2 Overpriced and boredom factor;

1 Easy UNinstallation.

TOTAL: 1/10 - AND a thumbs down.

Thanks again Double Games but no thanks. Your reputation is truly suffering badly with us, our friends, families and even those we know less well. Is there nothing you can offer to redeem yourselves?

Thanks again GotD, but NOT for Double Day. I look forward to seeing other quality game software houses joining us in the future. At least with games that last longer than under a minute!

Enjoy - or not everyone!

Doublegames......BOOOOOOO!!! (As in a ghost says, "booo!" because DG stuff is scary bad!!!!).

HOW'S THAT #4?

Couple more questions for you if you don't mind,
1.) 'Is you still waiting for doublegames haters' comments'? In addition, 'DROSS' in the context used by you is SLANG. Difficult to intuit why someone defuncting the 'uneducated' would use slang in their post.....it's enough to make one's own erudition suspect.

2.) Why would you post the comment you did?
- was it your intention to belittle those that give negative
D.G. feedback into not posting?
- was it to edify us all with misplaced arrogance?
- was it to inform everyone that this game is 'not for you'?
- of course, to make such a comment without giving a
constructive reason why is contrary to the purpose
of the service GGOTD provides. To acknowledge the
good work GGOTD does, then fail to support their
efforts by posting worthwhile feedback, appears a
most selfish act.

Ps. Please post back with any corrections to my prose you wish to objurgate.....I would love to bask in your learned ways....please:).

Some clicks were made into double clicks. Timer is too short. You should offer an unlimited play version.

Stop ya whinging! It's very cheap entertainment (for about 13 minutes anyway)

It would have been cooler if the appliance explosions were more dramatic .

I find this game hillarious and it would be very fun to play were it not over so fast. That timer is sooooo not long enough. Or simply an option of no timer would be nice, as is I can't give it a thumbs up. 14.95 is not a good price for 2 minutes of fun.
