As expected I got to level 92 very quickly, but then a bug only let me draw one line. It is mildly diverting, if doing something else. No indication of which level you are on until you go back to the menu. It says level complete and allows you to go on to the next level when the fruits are all joined but the grid is not filled, so is not very challenging. I can not get any further so will uninstall it.

I got it working eventually. And as you, flew through the levels very quickly. Each one took no more than the time it took to draw the routes to each fruit. Too easy in the form its in now. Maybe a more complex grid with different levels of play eg 8x8 8x16, 16x16 etc would make this game much more challenging. Still it was okay as a mild diversion. Thanks for your feedback Barbara.

Only took me 1 hour with breaks to finish the whole game. Good but a little too easy for the oldies like me.

Not my favorite genre, seems a little redious after the first few levels despite new elements being introduced over time.

Oh goodness - comment 33 by "error" (telling us how to edit a file in Streaming Assets to fix the error that causes puzzle 17 in the 8x8's to fail) looks like it may also be telling us how to make HARDER puzzles of our own, by simply replacing the coordinates of the matching fruits in each of these files. Wow, that's exciting....even though I have no clue how to determine locations that still result in solvable puzzles, it raises really interesting possibilities for expanding the range and capabilities of this game. Never would have guessed such a (probably unintended) capability existed. Even if I could not have figured out how to determine solvable sets in advance, it does also mean I could just draw complex paths on a grid, record the endpoints by overriding the contents of existing Streaming Assets files, then later after some time has passed (and I'd forgotten my made-up paths), I can go back and solve brand new puzzles. Thanks for the great hint at making more exciting versions of this game!!

It is still available under the name Link Fruits https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playmobilefree.fruitsconnect .
Exactly the same number of levels and the same pictures. So this must be the same.

This looks like an app game for touch screen devices. I prefer regular PC games to play on my computer.

I had no problem on Win 7 x64. It is a simple phone game where you have to drag the cursor around the screen to connect the same colour fruits together.

It seemed simple and fun, and then I realised that my hobby for years has been electronics, including laying out electronic circuit boards by hand. To anyone who has designed PCBs by hand, this will be very familiar logic!

If the path cannot be decrypted, that sounds like a problem with the Themida wrapper?, unless you are downloading the file to an odd area, possible one you do not have permission to run a program from - As in some areas of computers now have no permission to run programs from them, to try and stop ransomware from encrypting your computer and demanding a ransomed to decrypt it. Are you trying to save the downloaded program to anywhere different to where you usually try? Have you recently updated or changed any security software? I know Zone Alarm did something very similar to me some time ago when it "protected" areas of the computer and made it unusable.

If none of this is ringing any bells with you, the only thing I can suggest is try turning the computer off and on again, then trying to run a different installer from the same place. That should help work out if the fruits game is at fault, or whether a security program is blocking some area possibly?

Do you run Microsoft's Enhanced mitigation toolkit at all? The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is a ridiculous suggestion to someone as experienced as you, but while you will not have done this, perhaps it might help someone else having trouble? - But try right clicking and installing as administrator and be sure it is compatible with your version of windows.

If that is not it, then I'm wondering if there is something odd happened to your path environment?

I hope it is a transient problem anyway and easily clear WhiteRabbit - Good luck and thank you for all the help you have been for so many years on here!

I love getting the free games, however it would be even better if you would notate somewhere that this is an android game, so I can bypass it for my PC. It gets frustrating to get excited about a game, download and install only to find this tiny screen shaped for a phone.

The program installed fine for me on Win7 Ult.

This is a pretty good puzzle game. It starts off easy then gets slightly harder. It is clearly designed for a touch screen, but works fine with a mouse too.
While playing a level, pressing "ESC" brings you immediately back to the main page.
Eventually, you come to pink peppers in the game. I wouldn't classify those as fruits, but who cares?

There are some problems though. If you click the "Play JoWee" button, the program tries to load a webpage.
The page it first tries to load is here: http://playjowee.com/android.html
Then it redirects to here: market://search/?q=pub:PlayJoWee%20Publishing
That page doesn't load.

The blue 'i' (information) buttons on the level selection pages don't work.
Whenever you exit a game level, there is a problem with the title at the top. Whatever page you are on (5x5 6x6 7x7 or 8x8) it always has the title of "5x5" You are actually on the same page as you should be (for example, 7x7). Just the title is wrong.
When you finish the last level of, say 5x5, and click "Next", the program automatically starts the first level of 6x6. That is nice. IMO, it would be good to also have the game switch to the (now) current 6x6 page of levels when you are press "Home" or "Back". At the moment, it goes back to the page you started on instead (5x5 in this case).

This game has some bugs to be worked out but is worth a try.

Thank you JoWee and GOTD for giving us this game!

A simple puzzle game obviously designed for "mobile devices", no instructions that I could find but it only takes a minute to figure what to do - drag lines connecting pairs of fruit without the lines crossing. As you progress more fruit is added and the lines get more convoluted; not sure how complicated it gets, I played the first 25 screens in about ten minutes. Background music is pleasant, if monotonous, and can be muted. Perfect for a few minutes while awaiting the tea kettle to come to life.

It worked fine for me on a Vista Home Basic computer. Very simple. The music repeats over and over, but it's a cheerful tune. The girl could have put on a skirt or some pants for the picture.....or a pretty dress. I finished all the levels except level 17 in the 8X8 set. That level seems to have a glitch. I can only make one match, any two fruits I choose, but after the first choice nothing else will match. The mouse doesn't seem to even recognize the rest of the game after that. It just doesn't work. At least one is allowed to skip on to the rest of the levels. Colorful. I don't mind these small windowed games. I look for small ones to play in an odd moment. I'm still playing the cubes one from a week or two ago. However this one is very easy. And then it is over...

I guess WR is a bit busy and not moderating much today.

I decided to try the game and unlike other from this company, this one isn't so bad. It's a bit on the easy side (at least for the 5x5 size).

Like other ports from Android, it only offers a narrow window -- that you can't even train to go to the side to keep it half-out of the way but available for time-wasting while waiting for something else.

The install was a win-rar self extraction and went where I wanted it (1sies). I'm about to have to move some of them to their own folder but not yet. No shortcut was created but that wasn't a problem. It's easy to create a shortcut.

It doesn't seem to be timed and you can plan out the moves in your head to get all the paths.

The one ding is it's not very forgiving of mouse usage. It's fairly easy to get the path stuck by moving a tiny bit too far to the edge or across another line. You cannot "back up" the line. You have to start over. That's a bit tedious but doable.

It's a decent time-waster but not a heavy thinking game. But -- I'll keep it. It is free!

Installed ok, opens in a small non-resizable window, a bit like a mobile phone in size, played this for about 10 minutes then uninstalled as far too easy, it may challenge youngsters but if you are over 6 then it's probably not for you.

Installed seamlessly. Like the other games from PlayJoWee over the last Saturdays, this is an Android port, with its praised and flaws. The window is not resizeable and narrow, you can choose different levels according to the number of rows and columns, with every of them having 25 modes that look pretty much the same. The first level is very easy, but the last one looks challenging at least. This could be good for kids, but thanks to GOTD for giving it for free.

I actually LIKE LIKE LIKE this little game!

It downloaded and installed fine on my laptop.

There is ANOTHER girl with BIG cantaloupes who does nothing in the background. The makers of this game sure love melons!

It opens in the shape of a cellphone, but that's okay! It's like having a cellphone right in the middle of my laptop screen. But if they streeeeeeeetched it out to fit my screen, it would look REALLY FUNNY! Gallagher funny! (FRUIT joke!)

I've always liked "Flow Free" games and that's exactly what this is. Flow Free with Fruit (I guess the fruit should all be prunes! LOL! GET IT?)

I had no problems playing it with my lil ol' mouse.

I think it is FUN FUN FUN (til my daddy takes my T-bird away!)

It's only the fourth game I've pinned to the bottom of my screen joining Fishdom (!), Fishdon H2O (!), and Pearls of the Deep (!)

Thanks, you PlayJoWee dudes!

Simple little game to while away some time. Early levels are way too easy, but 8x8 cells require more planning and are more interesting and fun. Only 25 games at each level(5x5 to 8x8) so it will not last long, but a pleasant diversion for what it is...ummm, even though its obvious nature as a phone game initially prejudices one against it.

I didn't have any problems installing (Win7 x64). No shortcut, you will have to make your own if you want one. It also didn't have any volume control although you can mute the sound which consists of one simple score. There also aren't any instructions. This game was clearly made for mobile platforms as there is only one resolution (a window that is roughly 600 high by 275 wide (the shape of a cellphone).

The game consists of playfields that are 5x5 or 6x6 with various fruits in some of the squares. The object is to click on a fruit and then drag a line from that fruit to it's matching fruit. You have to do this for all of the fruits without any of the lines crossing. I found this a cute quick little time waster.

It DLed and extracted into it's own C:/Games subfolder, activated normally, so deleting the subfolder removes the whole game.

On my eMachines Win7 OEM, it ran fine and was easy enough to figure out even without a demo or "how to play" image.

However, the game is a bit small for any full-size laptop or a desktop. It appears better suited to smaller devices and should look just right as a "touch" version for phones and tablets with very little adjustment.

I would rate this only a 4 out of 10 for desktop/laptop use. However, I would like see it converted into an app for Win 8.1 users.

Another android port. The game unzips to C:\Games\Fruits_game by default and doesn't make any changes in the registry. You can transfer it anywhere you want.

Windowed mode is the only one available, but it's enough. There is no tutorial but after just a few attempts it's easy to figure out that the goal is to connect every pair of fruits on the board with a line and the lines connecting diferent pairs must not intersect. There is no 'Undo' option, so if you do something wrong just restart the level. The game remembers completed levels when you exit normally, so you can continue where you left off (and no one else can start from the beginning, ha). After you complete a level, a doll/cartoon girl shows up on the screen with the word 'Completed'. The game is apparently meant for kids and after several levels becomes boring for an adult. But it's better for the young ones than eating zombies or something like that and is fully playable (unlike last week's giveaway from the same developer), so I gave it thumbs up.

@Whiterabbit - how about trying your own medicine and downloading it again :-)

Another one from these guys? I tried the first one a few weeks ago, and was amazed at how tiny it was on my screen. Apparently originally made for Android? Games like this might be great on my phone, but nothing I would sit at my desktop PC to play. Didn't download last week's, won't be downloading this week's. But thank you though. Will wait for the more "made for PC" game tomorrow.

Downloaded and Installed without problems on my Win7/64 laptop. Looks like I'm playing on my smart phone. Certainly not a full windowed game. It's a cute game. A refreshing break from Match 3. But I played through 30 levels in less than 10 minutes. The levels do get progressively a little more difficult. The music is a bit annoying so I turned it off.

I'll keep it and play it through to the end.

I believe this game was originally called Fruit Connect, found here http://playjowee.store.aptoide.com/app/market/com.playjowee.fruitflow/5/7169569/Fruit%20Connect But it seems this app may no longer be available on the Android market (via AppBrain) and not very reassuring when one can't find the game on the developer's own website http://www.playjowee.com/

Downloaded and installed with no issues on Win 8 64 bit machine.
It's another cell phone game adapted for computer use.
Basically a time waster, draw a line connecting the matching fruits on the screen without crossing lines or using the same space twice. The difficulty level in the first 10 screens I played is minimal.
There is an option to increase difficulty if you find the opening settings too easy. You can change the field size. The options are 5x5 (default) 6x6, 7x7, and 8x8, with the difficulty level increasing as field size increases.
If it weren't for that, I would have just removed it, but the challenge increase makes it more interesting.
The only thing about it, is I wish the window size could be increased as the field increases, because it's a bit tougher to not cross lines when the field increases, because the boxes get smaller.

It's a very simple puzzle game apparently ported from Android. The goal is to connect matching pieces of fruit without overlapping the lines. I've seen it used before as a mini-game in HOG games. For those experienced with these puzzles, even the highest level isn't that difficult. It's the sort of game you might play a level or two to pass a couple minutes, but playing level after level could get dull.

Game downloaded fast and installed without an error in Windows 7.
The mouse interaction between the trail and the square also forces you to go slow or it will lose it's connection and stop or jump to a wrong square.

I don't care for phone app games on the computer, although I have like this type game on the tablet, utilizing such a small section of my display is not enjoyable. The limited display makes complex puzzles too small to be fun. This is why I consider this a very short lived game for me. All in all fun for a few rounds but not one I will finish or play again.

But thank you for the opportunity to try it.

A little game for your phone when you are stuck bored in a lineup, no more. Just as Flowlines - not original. Levels of difficulty are not gradual. The music really really gets on your nerves in no time. Like I said, waiting in line or in a waiting room, if you cut the sound. I do not see myself putting much time on this one. Thanks anyway.

Fruits installed ok on Win7 64 bit. It is a very easy game, similar to Flow Free which is an android app. You can turn off the sound, and it is in a small oblong (portrait window) so can be played along side you tube programmes if you wish. Although I expect the levels will get a bit harder it probably will not take long to get through 120 levels, but it is free, so you can't complain.
Thank you for all the games.

Installed and ran well on windows 8, 64 bit. It installed to the games folder on c drive, which I made a desktop shortcut from there. The game plays in a small window, about the size of an android phone, but ran well on my computer. There is in game music, which you can turn off. The game has 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8 puzzle boards. Navigation was easy and game play was easy. The puzzles I have played in the game have been fairly easy so far. The game saved, upon exiting the game, so you can pick up where you left off when going back into the game. It played well with touch or mouse control. This is a fun game if you are looking to relax or need something to do for a while, where it isn't a game about something trying to chase you and do you in. For me, the puzzles are addictive and fun.

Thank you for the game.

Another mobile game converted for PC. A clone of the successful Flow game. Installed OK into my usual F:/Games folder. Four different size boards (5x5 6x6 7x7 8x8) each with 25 levels, none of which are difficult, so the game doesn't last long and has no replay value. Level 17 of the 8x8 board is broken as you can only join two fruits and then you have to press the back button, but you can carry on with the rest of the levels.

I actually found the original Flow game to be quite relaxing, but this is both too short and too easy, though it will pass an hour on.

The game opens to a rectangular non-resizable window. This game was designed for a mobile device. You may select '5x5', '6x6', '7x7', or '8x8'to define the game grid. You are then taken to the playing grid where different fruits are scattered about. A line can be 'drawn' to form a path from one fruit to another by clicking on a piece of fruit and moving it on the grid to the matching fruit. The object is simple. Draw a path to connect each piece of fruit to its match without crossing any paths you already created. Once all the fruits are matched you move on to the next screen of the selected grid. There are 25 screens per grid. When you complete the 25th screen of a grid you are taken to the 1st screen of the next grid. When you finish the 25th screen of the last grid (8x8) you are taken back to the main screen. A simple logic puzzle with nothing really to offer except the ability to kill time. I will not keep this one.

Not a bad (i.e. pretty good) PC implementation of a genre that I play every now and then on my Android tablet. If fact, when this runs it mentions that you can also get an Android version. Clearly the developer is capitalising on a development framework that means your program runs on multiple platforms. This becomes very obvious when the game runs in an un-resizable portrait window that looks like a smartphone display.

On Windows 7 (no touch facilities), the game remains pretty playable with a mouse, although it might get wearing on the wrist. Whether it appeals to you depends on whether you like the basic gameplay. I suspect most players adopt a logical approach sooner or later as they go up the difficulty layers, rather than trial and error. On this basis, I would certainly recommend the game for children.

On a tablet, this type of game is a good way to kill a few minutes waiting when commuting. I'm not sure that I'll want to play it an a PC that often.

You will mute the shortish Country & Western style soundtrack pretty quickly.

Overall, a very acceptable implementation of an Android favourite, which may particularly appeal to those without access to a touch device. Also good for encouraging children to develop a logical approach to problem solving.

Hmm, the first android game here (IMHO) that is actually well playable on windows. Gets slowly more difficult, but it does. Seems to be an OK game for both android an windows.

The game is definitely buggy! A minor error in writing a line can ruine any line drown before.
