I thought this is a more strategical game but this is more shooter.
I don't like kill anybody even in a game. I like game where we can win with intelligence.

I'm not sure if it is me or game, but when I downloaded it the cursor/hand/etc. does not show up. When I went and waited for the options button to flicker identifying that I had something on the button I pushed it and got two options: windows or full screen. The full screen button will not move as if it is automatically pressed, so I tried to push the windows button and it says that my screen resolution is too low for the window mode. How do I get the cursor/hand/etc. to show so I can play the game and not guess where I am playing?

Downloaded and installed with no problem; options for music and effects volume and for windowed mode. This is basically a tower defence game with ships attacking your base via a circuitous route on which you build your towers on preset spots. Graphics and sound are good ...but I hate tower defence games (you do not "win", just see how long you can hold out before being overwhelmed by attackers).
Here I was stalled on the second tutorial level. A pop-up tells you to build on a certain spot by using barrels; I click that spot and the barrels drop down, click again, on the spot or the barrels, and the barrels scroll back up and nothing happens. The pop-up remains. Started over .. same result. Uninstalled.

Good game. Different from others I've played and that's a big deal. It's hard to come up with something new. The tutorial/instructions are not as comprehensive as they could be.

I selected the setup and the only thing I got was a successful activation. There was no installation of the game itself. I did a search for it on my PC, with no results. Any suggestions?

Tower Defense is my favorite genre. I would put this offering about in the middle of my collection of TD games. It is similar to the Frontier Wars, etc. TD mobile games.
Honestly, I was just thinking of buying this on Steam the other day, but here it shows up free. Thank you.

Good tower defence game. If you're heavily into some work and need a brain-flusher, this does the job. No different in principle than most defence games, this one has a refreshing scenario, and the action can get hot and heavy. But it's a keeper for now. Thanks for this one.

Amazing! This is the second tower defence giveaway this year. Could it be that tower defence is becoming more popular amongst casual PC gamers? I certainly hope so. It's my favourite type of game.
Fort Defense is a really enjoyable game. Colourful and attractive graphics, smooth gameplay, plenty of upgrades for towers and spells, and just a whole lot of fun. Superb giveaway. Many thanks! :)

This is an 8th Floor game and is a rehash of Medieval Defenders which is a rehash of Royal Defense2 which is a rehash of Royal Defence, etc. etc. The games are so similiar that once you played one you don't really want to play the others (in my case). The enemies are different, yes, but the gameplay is the same. They keep repackaging the same game by changing the graphics. The only real difference between Royal Defense and the others is the ability to upgrade all at once in this one and MD while RD makes you upgrade in stages. If you've played one of them, you have played them all. How about something new 8th Floor? I have to give this a thumbs down for lack of originality and repetative gameplay.

Fort Defense is a Tower Defense (TD) game. I purchased this a couple of months ago when it was released on Steam and enjoyed playing it. It's not the best TD game I've played, but there are enough elements introduced throughout the game to make it interesting enough to play for short periods at a time. If you are a TD fan you won't find this too challenging, but I would still recommend you download it. If you are new to TD games It's a good starter game to get you introduced to this excellent ganre.
The following is Steams introduction to Fort Defense:
