john, What do you mean, "old stuff?" From the video above, clearly this game is bang up to date: it enforces social distancing when you shoot! See how the guy has to keep backing away to aim his shots?

Seriously though, do you expect every game given away for free here to be, as you might put it, "new stuff?" Is that all that matters to you about a game? Not interested in whether or not it's enjoyable to play, only whether or not it's "modern?" If that's your view, then fine and I respect that.

Personally, I very much appreciate that GGOTD exists, and the chance it gives me to play and own games for free, regardless of whether or not they are "trendy." In fact, many of the games I've enjoyed most from GGOTD (like Hyperballoid 2, for example) are several years old at the time of their giveaway.

I still think you're missing out on a lot of good stuff if you reject it out of hand because it "looks old," though!

john, Got to agree with Cad' there is growing interest in games like these. I've played first person shooters, survival, action and exploration games for a couple of decades (my first was the very first Wolfenstein game), but love to go to games like these. This one looks like a quality game and I will be exploring it when I have the time. Thanks to Falcoware for sharing. appreciated.
