The Game:

As I said several weeks ago, unless the weekend games are ones that i enjoy playing,,I will not be posting full reviews, but will always endevour to find suitable reviews and videos for you to peruse at your leisure.. This is mainly becasue we have been getting weekday games again since November last year. Granted, quite a few have been those £0.79 games that are often more like demos with very limited game play. however, we have also been given some excellent weekday games recently e.g. yesterday and the previous day we gt Dude Simulator 3 ( a GTA clone) and a tower defense game made by the developer of Old War 1 and 2 that has a vague similarity to one of my favorite TD games called Sanctum in that you have a character that can move around the isometric viewpoint unlike most TD games that have stationary towers.. AWESOME game. HOGs can be boring at times and this one is not by any stretch. Clever puzzles, morphing items a great map and wonderful graphics. I am not much on story lines as I am here to play and do puzzles but seems decent wnough. Playing On Windows 7. THANKS WhiteRabbit, GGOTD and My Play City.

Played this in prior give. Ok Win 10 x64 Pro where I got to the last photo shown today by reviewer - car with ladder. Finally bored with the genre (more than the game), quit. Usually need walk through at some point which makes it all become like work. Thanks tho.

beergas, my sentiment exactly.

I've seen far too many HOG's over the last decade to last me a life time. I used to have a monthly subscription to Big Fish games, where they would give you a token for any game in their library. They made the promise of a new game every day on their site. I eventually cancelled my subscription after amassing a years worth of tokens, simply because every days new game was either a HOG or sometimes a Time Management, but never one of my favorite arcade genres (Tower Defense, Breakouts and Shmups). At one point before I cancelled my subscription, I counted well over a thousand HOG's (can't remember the exact figure).

Installed on Win 10 64-bit with no problems. Someone had a comment that there was a glitch and they needed to reboot, so I decided to reboot after installing and before playing it "just in case". Had no issues with the game and have finished it with no glitches.

Thanks for the fun for the day. It's rainy and cold so it was a great day to stay inside and play.... :-)

My notes from two years ago said this. "Extremely well done!!! However there was a bad bug about 1/3 way through & had to start over!"

Habe das Spiel Alien Town runtergeladen und auch entpackt und auch
aktiviert das klappt auch aber dann .......passiert nichts mehr und so ging
das schon des öffteren wie kommt denn das ? Früher ging doch alles einwandfrei.......können sie mir helfen?

Assuming this is the same version that was previously given away in 2017, there was a glitch in the game that many folks all over the net were reporting, including Sid in the comments back here: "i was enjoying this game until I got to the crypt. The grid is preventing me from getting the stained glass angel and will not move. Glitch?? I looked at Alawar's site and apparently, I'm not the only person that's had this issue. If someone knows the work-around, I'd love to know what it is." I had the same issue, as did many others. Sid found a solution of sorts: if you restart the game and start all over from the beginning as a different player, it seems to help. But since this issue doesn't come up very early in the game, that seemed daunting.

Up until that glitch, I did enjoy the game a lot.

I've played this game before. I have a list of the HOGs I've played, and against this one I've noted "long, very good". I'd recommend it.

Fairly standard fair in a nice glossy package. Download is large but once completed, with Avast disabled, it installed without issue on Win 10x64Home.

I appreciate the characters audibly speaking, though the words do still appear on the screen as they are if one chooses to read along. Sound and graphics are nice and crisp. Gameplay is good and the setting very atmospheric. Not as spooky as I had hoped, with Halloween coming and there being "zombies" in the game, but maybe I have just not gotten that far into it yet.

It is 7:30AM and I have been awake since 4AM so that's the best I got right now. :-/
