I'm loving this game. Reminds me very much of Cake Mania and Diner Dash, two other games I actually paid for! Great game!

HOnestly --- I played this game for about 2 hours, it was kind of monotonous but I can see where my 6 year old would like it. Very similar to Diner Dash, which I find more amusing for me.

I'm not sure about that anymore #58. I've got dialup, and yesterday the download quit in the middle (around 6:30 p.m.). It wouldn't restart, and neither download link was active when I tried to start from scratch. I suppose it could have been a problem with the ggaotd site, but the fact that the links pointed to an html file instead of a zip file makes me think it's more likely that downloads were cut off.

I played this last night for hours. I didn't think I would like it all that much, but I did. I am a puzzle person and this sort of makes you work a puzzle with a time clock going.
My daughter works in fast food and this games make me happy that I got my college degree. :-)

Is it me or what. It seems lately that everytime I download a game here,it is only good for 60 minutes. This one included. I would love to be able to play it anytime I want, but it won't let me play after my 60 minute trial is over. Please help me to figure this problem out.
I love the games, but if they are free, I would like to play for more than an hour. It takes that long to get anywhere in the game.

To all- It would be so thoughtful & appreciated if people who thought they may not like & keep a game, wouldn't take one. It keeps others who'd love to have it from getting it sometimes, when they are all taken. Makes me sometimes hesitate to tell others about this great site, as there might now be enough to go around after taking time to download it on dialup. It's happened to me a few times. The game plays kind of jerkily. I don't know if it's the game or my machine, though my machine has been running all the other games fairly well.

I have this game too already, I play it sometimes, but sometimes it gets kinda boring because the levels are really quite alike in my opinion. Though it is a really good giveaway for people who don't have this game for free.

This game is great!!! I belong to bigfishgames.com, and I played the 1 hour trial version a month ago. I like this kind of time management game, but I'm not good enough at them to pay full price for them. Now I can practice, with Stand O' Food! Excellent choice in games today, GOTD!

If it's possible, perhaps a good simulation and/or hidden object game in the near future?

I downloaded and installed it this morning, no problems. It ran just fine. It was cute, but I didn't find it as fun as Tiny Worlds (offered, what, last week?), also from Alaware.This was fun, but I won't be keeping it. Did give it a thumb's-up, because I enjoyed the first few levels. Just not as much fun as Tiny Worlds :)

Am I the only one that keeps getting a corrupt file error?????? I love the flash version of this game, please help me download it!!!!!

Fun game but it was only a demo that lasted one hour. I give it a 5 out of 10 just because its a demo.

For that kind of money you would be better of getting a subscription to pogo.com (approx. 40USD a year) and be able to play this kind of game and tons of others like it.

Okay as a time waster. Better graphics effort then the one of yesterday. If you like the genre, it might keep you out of trouble for an occasional quater of an hour but... not something that one would actually find on a shelf in a store, hardly something you would find in a clearance bin.

Like #26, I was cut off before the game downloaded completely. It said the file was corrupt or invalid. Went to the mirror link #1, and it downloaded without a problem. Oddly enough, I was playing a demo of this game yesterday and wishing I had just a little more time with it. It's a great game, and thanks to Alawar and GGOTD for offering it!

My partner comlng in soon she will be over the moon as she loves dinner dash,great stuff Alwar and GOTD.

Yet another Diner Dash game. Some people may like it, and it isn't horrible for free. I can't imagine that they can sell this at nearly $20, though. Same problems with cursor constraint as other Alawar games. Also a CPU cooker.

My 4 YO found it boring after a few minutes and said "just uninstall this one, poppop."

I must admit, I'm a bit biased towards Alawar games. I have yet to find anything made by them that I haven't enjoyed, and Stand O'Food is no exception. The game starts out fairly easy, but can quickly become complex if you don't plan ahead. A definite thumbs up!

Can I still install if I have Vista?

This loosely reminds me of Falafel King, that classic time-management flash game where you have to make the customers' falafel sandwiches before they start to get angry. And when flies get on the food, you have to hit the bug spray button before your food spoils. Great fun.

I have asked this question before. I have downloaded games many times; but now I get download cut-off before it is finished. Is it because too many people are using it? I never had this problem until the last few days............I have tried "mirror link" and same thing happens.........Only when you have mirror link 2 does it work.

Alawar does have some nice games and there graphics are very good.
Myself, I never was big on shopping online for anything. But, I would and will in the future buy online from Alawar.
And especially from a vendor that has been so good about giving away so many of there games.
Seems as anytime I think of buying any games, Alawar pops into my mind.

What a great game! Many hours of enjoyment. The only downfall is that the music stays the same throughout the whole game. Would of been nice to had some variety of music.

Well, I downloaded this one. The first time in ages I have downloaded anything from this site. I love games like this, the fast pace and the challenge is what I enjoy. However, I found this particular version of the "burger shop" or "diner dash" style game to be clunky and slow. Particularly when you made a mistake and needed to get rid of a piece.

Not a bad game for free, but if you were willing to fork over money I'd definitely go pay $25 for burger shop over at big fish games instead.

As Nancy comment #3 said this is becoming one of the fastest growing genres in the arcade gaming world apart from match three or more games and hidden objects. All three genres are excellent for some relaxation therapy, although I personally don’t play the food type games as I find them too stressful, lol (only kidding)

There are two game modes, meal quest (for the faint hearted) and lunch rush (for those already in stressful jobs) :) AT the start of a game there is a simple tutorial that once worked through (it only takes a few minutes) the cookery book will be unlocked. This shows you the best condiments to use on the sandwiches you can prepare. As you progress through the game the cookery book should increase in content. There are only four sandwiches at the start of the game, but as better equipment (20 upgrades and more recipes (around 80) become available, you will have more variety to contend with. There are over 100 levels to work through so this isn't a game that can be played in a day like yesterdays.

You have to prepare and serve food to all the customers that come in within a specified time. IF you leave a customer waiting for too long they become progressively more agitated and will leave if you don't serve them in time; which means you lose valuable money, which you need to upgrade your equipment and buy new recipes. That’s the basics of game.

If you are anything like me, this is far too fast, lol. I prefer something more sedate like a hidden object or non times word game or even a mindless break ‘em up (except for yesterday’s lol)

I would recommend you try this game out. I think this is only the second time we’ve had a game of this genre, (although I’d lump the gardening and tycoon games in with this genre, so maybe that should be several)

I give this 7 out of 10 for all round family entertainment and replayability.
