Fantastic Heroes Puzzle:

In Brief:
This is another puzzle from GameRea, who has previously given us several jigsaw puzzles for example Old Paintings, Grim Puzzles, Street Art Puzzles, Fantastic Puzzles 2021, Terrible Puzzles, Old Canvases 1, 2 & 3 and Winter Moods, as well as other games such as the swap tile puzzles Planet of the Fat Men, Quick Tiles and Quick Puzzles. Todays puzzle is one of the smaller variety with only sixteen puzzle pieces to each of the ten puzzles.

The Game:
Fantastic Heroes Puzzle is a 16 piece square puzzle with ten images to solve. When you start the game you can see what key bindings and mouse controls are used by clicking on the Control button (see the second image above).

Along the bottom of the puzzle grid are four buttons with a timer in the middle. The first two buttons toggle the sound on and off, the third button restarts the puzzles timer from the beginning; when this is done, all the pieces of the puzzle are shuffled and reoriented differently. The puzzle pieces are located to the left and right of the 4 x 4 grid; eight on each side.

When placing pieces in the correct position they are not locked like previous jigsaw puzzles we've received from a different developer. Also, if you place a piece wrongly it does not jump back to the periphery like some of the BD Games puzzles we've had recently, you have to put them back manually.

Conclusion:
Although a very short puzzle game, with only 10 images to solve it shouldn't take an adult more than 20 minutes to solve the whole lot. Still, there are some very nice horror fantasy images within this package. Well worth getting if you are into such art.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found one hit (VBA32)from 63 antimalware engines.

This one is the most frequesnt one to register a positive from amongst only several antimalware suites that often tag Falcoware Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines; so, it's very likely to be a false positive.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be) where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. Black And White Apocalypse that was given away some weeks ago by the developer hammergames is always free and can also be downloaded as a colour version. The community member Space pointed this out at the time. You can find both versions over on itch.io via the following links. Black & White version, and Coloured version. :)

You can also find 'all nine' of the developers games (for free) HERE. Some of them look like they are worth investigating. :)
