Envoy:
In Brief:
Envoy is a vertical Space Shoot Em Up (Shmup) with colourful graphics and a bullet hell like feel to it. Get ready for sore hands :).

This has never been given away before and is one of a few of my favourite indie arcade genres; unfortunately, I was called away mid morning, so haven't had time to download and play todays game yet (I will be doing after our evening meal.

In the mean time, please reward Jason with a thumbs up (rather than my comment as he has posted a decent comment about todays game. Thank you.
Regards White Rabbit.

Conclusion:
From the size of my screen captures, it appears this is quite an old game. I do like the upgradable items you can buy and sell in the shop and the frequent power up drops, though in easy mode they are too frequent.
Oddly I've never come across the game before. It's actually a little slower than most shmups I'm familiar with, but is still a decent space shooter.
I like the fact there are different difficulty modes. I missed this on my first play and ended up with it set on easy; which was too easy for me. So I changed it to the hardest setting, went to the shop and added some of the store items to my ship. The game then crashed and I'm unable to access that profile now. Restarting with a new profile appeared to solve the issue.
I've not had much time to explore the game yet, and it's approaching our family time, so won't be adding more today. Still, I will be keeping this to play in the future and will add it to my shmups collection.

Whiterabbit-uk,

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 2 hits (VBA32 &Jiangmin) from 59 antimalware engines. These two are amongst only several antimalware suites that often tag TooMKY Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines, so it's very likely to be a false positive; so, it's very likely to be a false positive.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that opens your browser to TooMKY Games home page after the game has installed and may place some shortcuts onto your desktop; these can be safely deleted once the game has installed.

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to TooMKY Games home page following the games installation, it earns TooMKY Games games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. The giveaway version of TooMKY games version has had most of the adware disabled.

You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

If you're still not convinced of the games efficacy and want to be absolutely sure that the game is safe to install, please use a sandbox program first, to check that the game is safe to install before installing it to your C drive or other drives on your computer (assuming you have more than one drive).

Personally I've never had any issues with any of falcowares games, even when the Falcoware installer was included.

There are free sandbox programs such as Sanboxie, GeSWall, BitBox, Windows Sandbox, Bufferzone (a six month commercial license was given away via the applications side of the project back in December 2009 HERE), Shadowzone, as well as others. (You'll find them all on the same page from Techwhoop.

Whiterabbit-uk,

You'll find regularly updated details of all the reasonable game deals and freebies that I can find from Steam (via Steam DB), The Humble Bundles, Epic Games freebies, Amazon Prime Gaming freebies, Indie Gala freebies, Fanatical Games Bundles, CD Keys and occasionally Good Old Games free deals, Groupees and other places, as well as the Free game Project over in the forums. HERE.

A new Humble bundle has been added and the Dungeons and Dragons table top game 'Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation' was removed from the Steam store permanently yesterday evening.

The mystery game I mentioned last week that has arrived in Epic Games freebie section is the excellent looter shooter Borderlands 3; it's a great game to play with friends cooperatively. The other game that was meant to be included this week i.e. the racing game Redout: Enhanced Edition was not given away.

Stellaris an atmospheric procedurally generated 4x sandbox grand strategy game with a Sci Fi theme is free to play until 6pm Uk/1pm Eastern on Monday over on Steam HERE. While it's still free you can post your comments in the review section or the activity feed. Once it reverts to a paid for game, you'll be locked out of the comments unless you purchase the game. It's on sale with 80% off until the free weekend ends. What I don't like about the game is the extensive list of 18 paid for DLC's that cost between £4.99 to £15.99, though most of those are on sale at the moment as well (between 30 to 75% off)

This game and many more can also be downloaded for free from here:

The rating ist only 3 of 5 stars, i tried it for a while, nice to play but there are better games of this kind out there to play, so the rating is ok.

Just to add, to see the page in a language other than German, change the /de/ in your link to a different two-letter language code.

For example, change it to /en/ for English, /ru/ for Russian, and so on. Hope someone finds that helpful!

Perhaps I should add the usual note that any free game you download directly from the Toomky site will open the Toomky site when you Close or Exit the game; downloading the same game from the GGOTD site does not do that.

Xevious, Galaga, Space Invaders and so forth the standard arcade games. This game kind of reminds me of a mix between the three of them. The enemy AI was surprisingly challenging and I noticed when I take damage from the enemy you see a broken window effect on the screen. The mouse control was fine for me but some computers if your graphics card is not up to date may experience a lag in the way you move the mouse on the screen. The opening of the game kind of reminds me of the game Guardian Legend on NES to tell the back story before you play the actual game. Also I noticed powerups a plenty when playing. Only drawback and I don't think this is a deal breaker is that there is some grammar errors in the program. Especially in the options menu. What is a Widow mode? I know they meant Window but Widow can mean many things including a sensitive subject matter I don't discuss here, but they could improve this game in this sense.

sailorbear510 aka Jason, I totally agree about poor English in a game. If I were trying to write something in (for example) Russian or Greek — or some other language I don't know, then yes I'd begin with Google translate (who doesn't?) but I'd definitely run it past some native speakers of that language to check for silly spelling mistakes like the one you highlighted.

As you say yourself, not a deal-breaker: but definitely annoying!
