Ok, I thought this little game was going to be easy and more for the children based on the graphics. Not so... There are so many variables as the game continues, it will be a challenge. Give it a go and enjoy it... :-)
Hope you are feeling better by now.

Link came immediately, downloaded, installed with no problems on Win 10 home. Did not need to turn off firewall or Malwarebytes before installing.
It's a cute little game.
Hope you feel better quickly!

Oh dear, this doesn't seem to want to run for me. I have 'launched' the game, and it is now sitting minimised at the bottom of my screen but I can't get it to play. Reinstalled it, but, alas, no joy.
Someone please tell me what to do to fix this, I love match-3's

Poppy-Jade,
If you're using Windows 10, in File Explorer navigate to the game's folder, usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\ MyPlayCity\ , right click the game.exe file, and select troubleshoot compatibility. Just follow the directions in the window that appears.
In Windows 7 you can still use the troubleshooter, but it doesn't work as well as in win10 -- when you right click game.exe you might want to click properties, then go to the Compatibility tab in the pop-up window, trying different options yourself.

Poppy-Jade,
Did you turn off your anti-virus before installing?
That is usually the main issue with these games.

Poppy-Jade,
I apologize!
I am having the same issue as you are!
I have tried uninstalling and downloading and installing again, and running compatibility, to no effect.
I am going to turn the computer off and try again.

Poppy-Jade,
I am having no luck at all!
I even tried downloading from My Play City, but when it tries to download, I keep getting redirected to other game sites for other games, and not being able to download it when I click back.
VERY frustrating!

Poppy-Jade,
Hi Poppy-Jade, Try changing the screen resolution. It looks like this game could be a port from an android game. If you have a relatively new monitor, you may need to select a smaller resolution. You should be able to do this via the compatibility tab via Properties.

Whiterabbit-uk,
That didn't work either.
All I get is an icon in the taskbar, which when you right click on it gives a little menu that says "Engine", "Close Window", and something else I forget. If you click on engine, it tries to open the game again, but still won't open.
I tried changing to 480x640, but that didn't work either.
I also tried running it in Windows XP, 7, and 8, and running as administrator.

Sorry to hear you're not well, sir. I do hope that this is very short lived.
I'm afraid I can't comment on today's Game Giveaway as I'm still waiting for the link to be delivered to my inbox.

Mick,
Thanks Mick. It's more like exhaustion. I've been extremely busy all week (mainly spring cleaning) and as I'm usually pretty moribund, it's left me with no energy. Plus this morning I was feeling really off and almost collapsed following a dizzy spell. I spent a few houses this morning just sleeping and felt a little better; however, we always have a dinner party on mothers day with my wife's parents, so spent the rest of the day before they arrived mid afternoon scrubbing , tidying and hiding things. They have just left and I feel as bad as this morning. but I'll live. A good nights sleep and an easy day tomorrow should see me okay.

Whiterabbit-uk, Thanks for letting us know why you're feeling unwell, sir. I certainly do hope that a good night's sleep will help to put things in a better light for you. Believe me, I do know what it's like to be unwell. (I've even missed most of the Bahrain Grand Prix today due to me not being well. I also have a sleep disorder, called narcolepsy, where you fall asleep inappropriately, which often means that I sleep 2 or 3 times a day.)
MAYBE all the rushing around, tidying up, scrubbing, hiding things, etc. really wasn't the best of things to do. Hopefully, the dinner party was a good one, which you can 'choose' as a little recompense for all that you've been through.
As for today's Game Giveaway, 'Elly's Cake Cafe', I found it to be quite a nice game, though aimed at a younger audience. The graphics are simple and colourful [colorful, for our American cousins], and the gameplay is simple enough for the aforementioned younger audience.
Although I do like 'Match 3' games this one will take a 'back seat' until my granddaughter next visits.

Mick,
Early on post accident I used to fall asleep while talking to people, even when in important meetings (such as meeting with my legal team during my compensation claim), but it was mainly due to the high dose of opiates I was on at the time. I titrated down the dose myself over several months because I found I was hobbling into door frames, dropping crockery etc. The opiates also affected my breathing significantly due to the suppressed breathing effect of opiate based medication. Another effect of the accident (I think due to losing almost 4 inches in height in the thoracic region of my spine) was acid reflux; which, in combination with sleep apnoea can be lethal. I sometimes woke up not able to breath due to breathing in the reflux after an episode of apnoes. (my wife had recorded my breathing and I was breathing with intervals as much as a minute. We bought an oxometer to record my O2 SAT's and were shocked to find they would drop below 60%. If your SAT's drop below 92% at the hospital I worled at we would put the patient on Oxygen to bring their SAT's back up to 98 to 99% Having studied anatomy at university I figured out that sleeping on my left hand side more or less stopped the problem as the Cardiac sphincter that allows food and liquids into the stomach is effectively at the top instead of at the bottom (if you lay on your right side) and stopped the leakage from occurring. I've since titrated my opiates down to half what they were, which has helped with the breathing issues significantly, but I still sleep excessively. My doctor says I'm still on a high dose of opiates; (for pain relief I use 3 day fentanyl patches and 12 hour Oxycodone slow release tablets supplemented with Gabapentin for nerve damaged. p.s. thanks for understanding; most people have no clue what its like, especially when to all intents and purposes I look quite normal from the outside. (lol)

Hi, Stephen! Usually I don't look at older comments, but for some reason I did look at this one, and maybe make one relevant to you (hope you see it).
I had 'marginal apnea' without any (bad) symptoms I could feel, but on a recommendation tried a CPAP, and that lowered my Apnea Index (IAH) from 28.5 down to 0.5, so I bought it and have been using it since then (and my wife says breathing stops and snores have disappeared); maybe this could be useful for you? Here, you can rent one for a trial month before you buy, and now there are very comfortable 'nose-masks' which allow you to sleep in any position. If you're interested, I can send more info.

alexyu,
Hi Alex, thanks for the info. I have seen specialists and even attended a sleep clinic, where they monitored me for a night.
The specialist did initially suggest CPAP, but then decided it wasn't suitable for me. He never explained why.
I have tried CPAP; when I was an intensive care nurse 17 years ago, to understand how patients felt using CPAP, I took one home for the weekend when the unit was almost empty and used it for two nights. That then gave me the ability to empathize a little with those that were prescribed it while on the unit. A lot of patients were worried about its use, so i could tell them how it felt and the benefits.

Stephen:
I did that overnight sleep clinic exam (polyssonography), too; that's when the clinical symptoms were verified (as I said, consciously, I didn't feel anything bad).
When I asked why should I use a CPAP when I didn't feel anything, the doctor replied that, so far, it was 'below the threshold', but as I git older, it would probably get worse, so it was better to 'nip it in the bud'.
When you tried a CPAP, that must have been many years ago, when these were clumsy, uncomfortable machines; nowadays it's all very easy and only marginably bothersome. You can see modern ones at resmed dot com slash us slash en slash consumer slash products slash devices dot html hashtag Sleep-devices, and there's a Philips mask which is grounbreakingly easy to use.
I've read/heard about many people with severe apnea who said their life "had changed for the better" after starting CPAP use (probably because their apnea wasn't letting them sleep well, so they were sleepy while awake; even the doctor who told me that, who had a severe apnea, also said that after he was operated (he's rather fat, so an operation cured it) -- that's why I thought of it after reading about your sleepiness and apnea.

alexyu,
17 years ago. I will have to check it out. I'll speak to my doctor first to see if I can ge tone on the NHS. :) If not, I'll look into the latest versions. I remember the one I tried did have some sound issues, which my wife didn't like. Also the atomizer that kept the air from being too dry often made odd splashing noises. I think the set I borrowed from intensive care may have been an old model back then, but can;t remember much about it now. Are the latest ones quiet?
Thanks again for your info. :)

I doubt the NHS would cover it, specially for a newer model, but who knows? I paid about US$900 for mine (in 6 installments), and my health plan won't, because it's not on the Health Ministry's 'obligatory coverage' list; it might cost less in the UK, because Brazil has high import taxes.
The machine is super-quiet, at least in the model I chose (link in previous post), and it has an integrated humidifier (with a warmer plate when necessary). One night, it did make some strange noises, but it turned out to be because I hadn't adequately placed the water reservoir, so it was leaking in the link. There's even an 'airplane mode', in which the CPAP works without the humidifier, to be used mainly -- where else? -- in an airplane (if you NEED the CPAP, you can carry it on a flight with you, but of course no water).
For me, a crucial part is the mask with just a soft silicon frame and a swiveled contact to the air tube on top of your head, so any position and turns in bed are easily accepted (more details at sleepapnea dot com slash products slash masks slash dreamwear slash overview dot html): You can put it on and take it off easily and quickly, even one-handed, so getting up during the night is nearly as easy as without it: While paused, it keeps 'listening' and, when you put it back on, it senses you're there and re-starts operation, all very quietly.
The machine records your use and sends it, by wi-fi, to the manufacturer's net, so you can get (free) reports on your usage and results, for your and/or your doctor's evaluation.
