Introduction:

The Game:
Enter Dreamland, where fairies and magic come alive in a new premium solitaire game from Alawar and Adept Studios. It is not everyday that we get a notable premium card game that is just different enough to stand out from the rest of this often overlooked genre.

While Dreamland Solitaire mostly remains faithful to the popular solitaire genre, the fantasy spin is quite interesting and engaging. Like other solitaire games, the objective of each level is to remove all cards on-screen by matching the card in the deck with a card that is one step higher or lower. However, it is the game’s commitment to its fantasy theme that takes it to another level. Dreamland Solitaire features all kinds of obstacles, from spider web cards that require torch cards to destroy to locked cards that require key cards. These twists are creative, consistent with the theme and most importantly, add to the challenge.

In case you still find the game too easy for your taste, no worries, because Dreamland Solitaire comes with three difficulty modes. This includes the Classic mode, in which all the standard rules are in place, the Easy mode with two decks of cards, and the more challenging Time Limit mode, in which there is a time limit for each move. As for the general challenge level of the game, it varies level by level. Still, you have the option to control your game by purchasing upgrades, Joker cards, and wild cards.

Dreamland Solitaire also excels production wise. The colorful, effects-filled, fairytale-like graphics remind me a little of the hit Avalon Legends Solitaire series. The pleasant and easy-on-the-eyes visuals are definitely a big part that makes Dreamland Solitaire as addicting and as entertaining as it is. That being said, while the majority of the music is fun and dreamy, certain elements can be slightly repetitive and distracting.

Solitaire fans will be thrilled to discover Dreamland Solitaire – a beautifully crafted, insanely addictive take on the beloved card game.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found three hits (BitDefender Theta, Jiangmin & VBA32 ) from 59 antimalware engines. The three negative results are not significant accounting for less than 6% of the scans and are almost certainly false positives. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed). The installation does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page when the game has been installed, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free.
