Help to defense the Chinese pagodas from ancient dragons! The only possibility of winning the ancient beast is to decrease the size of his body consisting of multicolored balls so that the dragon will just disappear from the game field. So the task is to make a row of three or more matching balls knocking out the unsuitable balls from the dragon body.

Dragon can be played in a usual match 3 manner or by making large combinations of matching balls. Everything depends on the player’s will. This creates the unique gameplay, letting you enjoy the Dragon the exact way you want to.

The undeniable advantage of the game is its graphics that is very detailed, eye-filling and that makes to forget the reality and plunge into the dragon hunt. The music of Chinese style makes the authentic atmosphere. Emphasis made on the details and gameplay new approach that’s what distinguishes the game from the analogues.

This is a great repeat from March. Follow the link below to see the 88 comments from then. The game received 91% thumbs up from over 250 votes.
I’ve copied (with a few mnor changes) my own very short contribution:

http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/dragon/#comments

This is an excellent Zuma/butterfly/luxor clone, with some extra features not found in these games. The graphic’s and music are pleasant, and the game play is excellent, partly because of the extra incentives such as collecting letters to make a “secret” word and collecting coins; both tasks give you extra lives if you attain the targets. These and other power ups make this a very strong game that will definitely be added to my games library, as well as be added to both my children’s computers. They both like this genre of puzzle/strategy game, especially my daughter.
Nice one Robin Games and the GGAotD team. Thank you very much. :D :D :D

Philosophy of this Game?

This is a cooool Arcade Fantasy where you can do expert shooting and collect prizes instantly while traveling your way along a great and lengthy Chinese Wall. Soothing Oriental tunes permeate your mind as you constantly remind your eyes to blink in an effort to conquer multiple complexities of this alluring game.

Becoming stalled on later round plateaus, I initially question why there were no hints as to how in the heck to get to the next level!
But - that is the true philosophy of the game... by using ricochet, color elimination, and early sequence setups; one might create a strategy and plot how each segment is going to end.

Sending the Dragon back to it's lair using blind luck will have one beat his or her head against a bag full of jeweled goodies to no avail.

The 'twists and turns' are there to insist that you figure it out.
My travel is approaching the final turn of the great wall and I still wonder if more little quirks are going flare up.

Good luck in defeating the Dragon!
I (as well) applaud Giveaway and the creaters of Dragon!!!

Re:#76 lapin blanc:
Thanks, appreciate your thoughts. I don't begrudge BladedThoth a bit and his reviews are excellent! It's just that three thoughts occurred when that site appeared.

One, surprised this site allows links to unaffiliated sites solely for reviews of their offerings especially when they already offer space for comments and forums. Were I them, I'd rather folks stay right here to build this business especially if trying to gather as many total hits as possible in order to get better programs here. ;) There's also no direct email link on that site, resulting in people coming back here to argue their opinions of his review of the day. That doesn't solve junk in comments and forums, it only adds to it.

Two, the exploitive aspect of this site's guaranteed audience is a bit cheeky although you're right that people do have a choice to click links or not. But a lot of people here are computer/internet newbies who may think such links are endorsed affiliates which they are not.

Third, figured that soon enough there would be an imitator who would not be able to set up a site as well as BladedThoth and would not be able to turn a phrase as well as BladedThoth either. (Except for his use of "anyways"...pet peeve, it's not a word. :D ) Unfortunately that third one did happen, it was inevitable.

Re:#51 Ruth: THese aren not tirals but full versions. You did get the readme.txt and activate.exe along with the setup.exe in the zip file you downloaded. If you set a downloaded zip to run instead of open then you simply never saw the other two files. That can also happen if you use Winzip unpacking software in Wizard mode. Doing either of those things will install software for you, but you never see the rest of what's in the zip and you have to access all of it to register.

If using Winzip, set it to Classic instead of Wizard. The go back and double click on the zip file you downloaded, you will then see other two files and can click on activate.exe which will register the game. If you prefer not to save zips to a dedicated download directory to unpack later than you can use another method that some find easier. When downloading tell your unpacking software to open the file to the DESKTOP. You will then see three icons representing the files, one icon will look like a key. Double click the key to register the game.

To Game Seeker: I have to disagree with you regarding Bladed Thoth's reviews and these comments sections. First, he clearly states that the link takes you to his 15-minute review. no one is "sent" anywhere unless they choose to click it. Second, agree with him or not, at least he doesn't stray from the subject of the game at hand.
You claim there is better and more varied info in the comments and forums sections. The forums haven't been ruined yet, but to find anything helpful in the comments section one must weed through an overgrown field of annoying, useless crap. On the one hand you have the idiots who are compelled to post things like "Woot!! I'm 1st!!" or "This sux!" Even worse are the world-renowned engineers, rocket scientists, and advanced specialists who somehow manage to spend every waking hour on this site waiting for freebies, putting down other people, copying and pasting entire posts so they can dissect them, and regaling everyone with "cute" updates on what games their kids are into. If clicking on an off-site link can spare me from that foolishness, than I won't begrudge Bladed Thoth whatever business he can drum up.
Having vented myself, I would like to also say that I don't mean to lump you in with the knuckleheads I've mentioned. I find your game reviews extremely helpful and informative. I'm just tired of wading though sewage to get to that kind of stuff.

Yet another game on here that deals with balls didn't they have something already on here for download exactly the same?

This site should give away a good action game where you run around and go on missions with weapons have not seen something like that for a while here.

To Ruth, and the depressingly large number of other people who complain that these are only trial versions:

Instead of just flailing away blindly at the keyboard like Jerry Lee Lewis when you see the word "free", take a moment (and it only takes a moment) to read the simple download instructions. Your impatience is causing you to miss out on some pretty cool games and software.

I love this game. Its great. Finally one I actualy play well. I love the sniper addition. In Zuma when you put a ball in the wrong place you just end up with too many balls. In this game it knocks the other balls out and into a discard tray where they roll back into the firing thingy. Yea!! I love all the little extra rewards that fall, because they are actually catchable. I have been playing all afternoon and have not wanted to quit to write a review. Thanks again for a really cool game!

Nice Zuma/Luxor type game! Chinese-inspired graphics are beautiful and there's very soothing Asian background music. Supports multiple profiles and saves games by profile. It adds a twist on this type of game by including bonus letters to catch to spell a secret word, many other bonuses as well. The game's strategy is also a bit different.

In the previously offered Butterfly Escape the best strategy was to first create as many combinations from single colored balls in the line as possible, so they could be easily eliminated later. Dragon turns that around, the best strategy in this one is to first eliminate combinations that are already there. Trying to create combinations first, as in Butterfly Escape, has a different effect in Dragon. If other combinations already exist then a new combination is not created by shooting at a single color ball. Instead the ball is knocked out of the line and simply replaced by one of the same color, resulting in no combination created. Knocked out balls fall to the bottom of the screen and settle under the shooter. This is a bit confusing at first but actually results in easier and more relaxed game play.

Another difference in Dragon is to be sure to catch as many bonuses as possible, missing too many or missing critical ones can mean the difference between completing a level or losing it. Knocked out balls figure in this part as well because it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish falling bonuses from falling knocked out balls, especially when playing fast.

Re:#21 Red: Checked out your review, please don't take the following personally as it is sincerely meant to be constructive. Your font is too small, and white text on a black background is more difficult to read especially when using fonts that are too small. It seems a direct copy of BladedThoth's idea from the other site as exactly the same format is used. That made your compliants about lack of originality of today's game seem amusing even though that surely wasn't your intent.

Frankly I find the whole idea of creating one's own site to review programs or games offered by this site to be just a bit unethical. It's little more than an attempt to exploit this site's built-in daily audience in order to gain hits for one's one site. Besides, this site and its sister site already provide comment sections and a forum for it's users to submit reviews, and every review is nothing more than one person's opinion. There's no reason except personal gain to send people to another site to read one person's opinion. Besides, better and more varied info can be found in comments or the forums.

Wow Ruth, haven't I taught you anything? Your suppose to run the Activate.exe to get the full free version. If you don't run that program on the giveaway day, your stuck with the trial version. If a giveaway doesn't have an activate.exe to run, then read the readme.txt to find out how to get the full version. Geez.
