Destroyer of worlds is a platformer game. Take on the role of an adventurer as you navigate dangerous dungeons and find your way home. On your way there will be monsters who want to destroy this world. You have at your disposal not only your agility, but also an arsenal of firearms. On the way, you can find a second pistol, machine gun, or shotgun. Not only will enemies be on your way, but also doors that open with certain keys. After passing all the tests and overcoming all the difficulties, you will win. Go Adventurer!

In Brief

Unfortunately, I don’t have time to post a full review today; suffice it to say, if you like action platformers, this is actually a nice example and well worth downloading. The graphic is nice, the challenge is moderate and game play has enough variety to keep you entertained. I only played the game for about 20 minutes (mainly to grab some screen captures), but enjoyed the experience. Pick up a variety of weapons on your journey through the levels, shoot the crates with the letter C, these are save points and pick up extra ammo for your weapons by walking over ammo or magazines and/or shooting crates with a magazine or ammo symbol within. Use the LMB to shoot, A & D or the left and right arrow keys to move left & right and/or the space bar/W/Up arrow to jump. To move to the next level collect all the coloured keys to open all the doors. You have five lives. Once you've lost all five you start from the beginning again. As you progress the levels become steadily harder to navigate. Watch out for the spiked pits and the blobs that shoot back at you. It only takes one hit or touch from an enemy to lose a life.

The latest game from Epic Games is the excellent RTS game Wargame: Red Dragon; i.e. engage in a large-scale conflict between Western forces and the Communist bloc. From 4p.m. Thursday 11th March the free game changes to the excellent Surviving Mars, a Mars based RTS game that was also given away earlier last year.

There's a DLC pack free for Minion Masters called Outlandish Operations until the 12th March. See Delenn's thread over in the game discussion forums for details (link below). You'll need to be signed into your Steam account to be able to add it to your account.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 60 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcowares home page after the game has installed, but does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcowares home page it earns them some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Whiterabbit-uk,

Getting past the first red blob has been difficult. It shoots back at you, so you need to be quick on the draw once it's been released. To release it you have to jump on the platform it's attached to, or drop down to the lower level beneath the red blob. Once you've hit it once it will wake up and start to shoot back after a few seconds.
