Defence Of The Fortress:

In Brief:
A Unity based game with an isometric viewpoint. defend the fortress from the attacking guards

The Game:
Defend the fort from hordes of attacking soldiers using the cannon at your disposal. This is a never-ending game until you fail to stop one soldier from getting to the wall where your cannon is located. As you progress the number of soldiers attacking increases. Ideal for coffee/tea breaks or a few moments of respite from other more involved games; unfortunately because there appears to be only the one level, the game becomes tedious after several moments of game play. You'll get occasional messages telling you how long you survived;. When you lose you will get a score board that tells you how many soldiers you killed and your best score. The top score is carried forwards after you close the game down. The aims of the game are to defend the fort and beat your best score. If there are more levels where you defend different forts, this could be a reasonable defence game, but if, as I suspect there is just the one fort, I cannot recommend this when it's not free.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game and it found zero hits from 59 antimalware engines. The downloaded executable may include some low level adware that only opens your browser to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed). The installation does not inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page when the game has been installed, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. The latest Epic freebie is Rebel Galaxy, which has previously been given away via Epic and is an open world swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe. Next week we get two more games one of which has a word that I won't post here as it would offend some it's called Void B******s a revolutionary strategy-shooter that will test your wits as well as exercise your aim and a second game called Yooka-Laylee an open-world platformer.

Battlefield V is free from EA Games (Origin) until 1st September, but I think you can only get it free if you subscribe to Amazon Prime via their free Amazon Prime Gaming. You'll find a link to the appropriate page HERE; you'll need to log in via your Shareware on Sale sign-in then click on the link that says '' click here to go to the giveaway page '', then you'll need to sign into your Amazon Prime Gaming account (basically the same as your Amazon Prime sign in (I think). It's part of the Twitch gaming subscription which you get free with Amazon Prime. If you are unsure how to do this you can find out via Livewire HERE. If you like WWII first person shooter, Battlefield V is actually an amazing game with respect to graphics and immersion. I was blown away by the action when I first booted up the single player campaign last year. I've posted some images and a link to a review of the game over in the forums HERE.

There are more games added to the Indie Gala free section as well.
