Introduction

DarkZone is a tactical real-time rpg. Move through the game cells, pick up weapons, armor and healing potions to fight enemies. Beware of traps that may await you along the way. Some of them can be used to clear your way from enemies. The dark zone consists of 4 parts, each part has its own keeper, which must be overcome. Not everyone needs to fight to win.

The Game

Dark Zone was released on Steam 1st Feb 2020 and so far has garnered one review that is positive HERE. We get a free standing non Steam version.

The game can be played in English or Russian. On starting the game for the first time, you are presented with a map like levels that is divided into squares. You move your character using the WASD keys and walk over various items of armor and weaponry, which are automatically added to your character. There are more than one shield and sword. Pick both up to increase your defense and attack to their maximum. Once fully kitted out walk towards the glowing blue light. This transports you to the next level. Kill all the opponents on each level, avoiding the traps that as you progress get steadily harder to avoid. See the video on the Steam page for details HERE.

There are no instructions on how to use your weapons. I've tried every key, but keep dying when I confront enemies, so gave up as I have to many chores to do today. If anyone manages to work out how to use their weapons, please do post details here. Thank you.

Please note, the giveaway version is hosted by Falcoware, which means the installed game also includes a Falcoware installer. If you boot up via the Falcoware installer you will get an advert appear in the installer window while the game is loading. It takes between 20 to 30 seconds for the game to load via the Falcoware installer. Also, when you close the game down, it will open your browser to the Falcoware home page. This earns Falcoware advertising income, part of which goes to the developer of the game.

nova, Thanks for the heads up on that oversight Nova. I'm run off my feet today, so didn't have time to proof read what I was posting (also explains why I couldn't spend any more time on the game trying to figure out the fight controls).

I usually use a template that has the coding for all the headings and hyperlinks already typed out to save time; but recently I did a lot of spring cleaning and basically backup up the template then forgot where I put it, so just copied the code from yesterdays giveaway, but forgot to replace the name of the game.
