CyberFight
In Brief - mini review
CyberFight is a side scrolling pixel platformer with an urban steampunk feel. The aim of the game is to kill all the enemy robots on each level. You can't proceed to the next level until you've cleared the level. Controls are simple, three keys control your pixel character. Using the WAD keys; A moves you left, D moves you right and W allows you to jump. To return to the main menu use the Esc key.
To kill enemies you have to jump on them. It sounds easy, however, they do move right and left constantly, so beware you don't miss because it only takes a touch from them and you die instantly. There are no weapons available in game, just the ability to time your jumps correctly to survive. There are also stationary flashing lights that you collect, however, there is no indicators to tell you how many you have collected, nor is there any obvious reason for collecting them apart from having to proceed to the next level. The first level is easy, as there is only one robot to dispatch and one flashing light to destroy. Once you've cleared a level, a green arrow will appear telling you which direction to proceed in. The robots become slightly larger as you progress through the levels, but are just as easy to kill. The game is very short with only several levels to complete. Once you reach the end of the game (it took me less than 5 minutes from starting a new game to completing it once I'd got used to timing the jumps correctly). When you reach the end the main menu pops up with an extra button that says continue. This allows you to replay the last level (that comprises of two large robots) over and over. Exiting the game will wipe any progress you made. If you die part way through a level you get the option of restarting from the level you died on, or starting the game from the beginning. You can see a couple of game play videos HERE and via the Steam store page

Installation:
Cyberfight downloads to a 38.2 MB zip file that unzips to two files, (a set-up executable and a read me). The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed if you wish. The installed game is approximately 111 MB in size.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Cyber Fight
Five shortcuts are installed to the desktop, four of which can be safely deleted (i.e. Falco Space - Online Game!, FalconLine Online Games Website, FalcoGo WebGL Games! and Free Games Downloads!). If you don't want to install the games shortcut to the desktop during installation, just make sure the install desktop shortcut is unchecked when the 'additional task's window appears; you will still get two of the other Falcoware shortcuts installed (i.e. FalconLine Online Games Website & FalcoGo WebGL Games shortcuts). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you also uncheck the appropriate checkbox when the 'additional task's window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window).

Conclusion:
This is yet another Sovkey asset flip. This developer has had numerous games removed from Steam for various reasons. Personally I'm appalled that Steam have allowed this game to be accepted in the Steam store. At the most you'll get 5 minutes of game play out of it; no rewards or indicators of progress. I've come across this developer several times and virtually all the game developed are less than demos with no achievements or mechanics that you normally expect from an indie game, yet are sold as full games. The Steam community give this a mainly negative review. In particular you can read all the short reviews HERE. Also check out the comment made in support of one particular reviewer HERE, who has been harassed by the developer for giving negative reviews. (You will be appalled). I cannot recommend this game at all, I would also not recommend downloading it. check out the video links i've provided to see what the game has to offer. The first link is literally what the game has to offer in its entirety. The graphics look fine, but the actual game play is repetitive and, until you get the timing right with respect to the jumps, you'll constantly end up starting from the beginning of the level you died in. Dying is easy as you don't get any extra lives. One touch from the robot and you are dead,(apart from when you jump on top of them). Once you've mastered the jump and kill technique, you'll quickly discovered within minutes how short this game is. The only two positive things I can say about this game are that I liked the graphic and its free.

I can't believe that this game costs 0.79€ on Steam. I finished this game in less than 4 minutes, and honestly, they are the worst invested 4 minutes of my life.

LazyReflexes,
Totally agree with you. Though I wasted longer so that I could write a review. I'm actually shocked that Steam sell this rubbish. Couldn't believe it when the game ended.

More shovelware. I think I preferred it when GGOTD only did weekend games, this weekday garbage just makes the site look bad.

JDPower, Absolutely. It's a shame that we are seeing a lot of these games, however, there have been a couple worth keeping.

Just the screenshots are hard on the eyes. They really should have picked a softer color scheme.
