CrazyDoc was available as a giveaway on February 21, 2023!
The crazy doctor was doing experiments on animals and at some point, everything got out of control. The freed mutants crave revenge and blood. If they are not stopped, they will kill not only the doctor, but also everyone who gets in their way. Mutants are very dangerous and have incredible power, with one blow they are capable of concussion and disorientation. But fortunately, the dock has not only instruments, but also a weapon with which he will have to stop his former wards.
CrazyDoc is a side-scrolling arena shooter. There are many mechanics in the arena: speed bonuses, increased jump radius and a variety of weapons, camera flip when taking damage, unexpected exploding surprises from dying enemies. At the end, the final boss awaits you, the very embodiment of evil and hatred of the doctor. Collecting the will into a fist and trying hard, you will destroy all the monsters on your way.

GameMaker Studio game template for doing a simple retro platformer game with added shooting...yes, we've seen this type of game a number of times even with shooting, but in this game the gun is not controllable by the mouse to aim in other directions as mentioned in the controls so you have to only shoot left and right and can jump. This adds to its difficulty as enemies can come down vertically as is the weapon you are given which have different capabilities and may appeal to someone who likes a heavy challenge.
You move left and right using the A+D buttons (no remapping to arrows in game *BOO*) and use the w key to jump and spacebar to fire. With one blow from the powerful enemies, they are capable of concussion and disorientation...this means that the screen flips and even the controls to move are reversed, something that did not add to the gameplay in a positive way imo. The screen once again reminds of the old Mario Bros arcade game where there are set platforms on the single screen rather than Super Mario Bros type of platform with scrolling. You have to defeat the number of enemies shown at the top to move on which sometimes have unexpected exploding surprises from dying enemies and ultimately, face the boss usually after 3 levels all of which are shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_AxEIevp1c
As to the large number of gamemaker studio template games that are then sold: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sqBYziYBAs

Today's game has a fairly simple objective with level completion, defeating all the enemies on the screen to go to the next level. However there is deal breaker here.
If you get attacked on the screen, the game flips you upside down making the game even harder to play and also can be nauseating. I did not care for this game mechanic built into the game but for those who are looking for a challenge it could be for them.
The game has a retro CRT filter enabled by default for those you don't know classic gaming, it makes it look like you are playing on an old school tube television from the 80s or 90s. If you don't like the format you can go into options and switch it off using the Shaders option.
Control Wise, the game mentions WASD plus LMB for the controls but so far I've found the space bar to be the only one in the game that controlled the shooting of the weapon on the screen.
Overall this game steps up it's game with a bizarre style of difficulty that I've not seen on other games given away here yet and if you're looking for a big challenge well you found it.
Worth to check it out. But as said beware of the screen flips.

sailorbear510 aka Jason, Technically, as the game description above says, it's a "camera flip," so the entire screen is flipped, not just your character. However, I agree with you: that "flipping" would make me feel ill as well!
PS: Screenshot 2 of 5 (at top of page) shows the "flipped" game screen.
