Confused Christmas 2
In Brief
Confused Christmas 2 is a memory and logic game ideal for young children
I've unable to post a full review of today's game. Though I did get a little time to check each of the three modes of play out. I would say this is a decent game for a family with young children. It's basically a memory and logic game. Most of the games are too easy for the average adult apart from maybe the expert modes; however, the game will be challenging for younger children. The colorful cartoon like graphics with the Christmas theme should appeal to youngsters and there's enough content to keep the kids occupied for a few hours of game play, assuming the adult is just there for support. I've posted some images of each of the three modes of play below. The descriptions of each mode have been copied from Evolutionary Games web site, which i've linked to below. The game can be purchased from Evolutionary games (if you wish to support the developer and their is an android version.
Path find

1) ... Help the elves find their matching presents by laying out a route between the elves and their presents. Collect two cookies along the way for gold.
2) ... In expert mode you have a limited amount of tiles for each color. In casual mode there's no limit.
3) ... There is no timer here - you can take as long as you want to. They won't start moving until you press the Start button.
Tag Match
1) ... Find the present that matches the gift tag on the left.
2) ... In expert mode you have to find it in time before the next tag appears.
3) ... In casual mode you can take as long as you want to - you can also skip a picture.
4) ... You only need to find 25 out of 30 to pass the level.
5) ... Limited wrong clicks on presents allowed.
Memory find
1) ... Find the present or decoration that is identical to the one shown, however, the item you have to find gradually disappears and you have to remember what it was.
2) ... In expert mode you have to find it in time before the next item appears.
3) ... In casual mode you can take as long as you want to - you can also skip an image. You only need to find 25 out of 30 to pass the level.
4) ... Limited wrong clicks on items allowed.

Ok, so I'll be the first adult to admit it - this game is not as easy at it appears on 1st glance! Playing on the expert level I found I had to repeat more levels than I expected to get a good or perfect outcome. The Path Find game was harder if you insisted on getting 2 trees on each path AND because if you happened to have your path "double back" on a path of adjacent squares, your little elf would take the "short cut" to the adjoining square rather than follow the path you intended. You still complete the level, but not so you get the additional bonuses. On Tag Match, my opinion of what tag matches what wrapping paper was different than the author's (and I'm up to level 30 and still not getting it right every time - duh). On the memory Find, some of the objects are "close" but not exact & by the time you click on a wrong one & are surprised it is not a match, the prototype form has long disappeared. The background also has so many distracting shapes that it is not easy to find each item either. Game has a somewhat odd method of logging your progress (different colored packages vs how well you did (I think), and the pictorial layout of the levels is a tad odd), but once you figure it out you can go back and replay levels you did poorly on. I downloaded this game merely out of curiosity, but once I started playing found it fairly addictive (as evident by how late dinner is tonight due to the cook being "otherwise occupied"!).

Well, this game is like the last one I tried to install. I get to the setup, click on it, and get nothing. I read the instructions (Read Me.txt)and it says to do something with the GCD file, but I click on that, and my computer wants to know, what program to open it with. I have no idea. So I give up on that.
Yeah, this site use to have some good games. And I never had any problems downloading and installing them. But now the last two times, have been goners. It's a shame, but that's ok. Over the years, I have collected (downloaded AND installed), MANY games (mostly hidden object, point and click, I'm not into shooting, or platform games). I wish there was a way to share them, but my life is to busy, and hectic, to make a website, and I'm to old to even try to understand how to make one. I know there's websites, where I can upload them, but I've never been interested in doing that, on some "unknown" website.
But maybe if THIS site, would find a way, where people can share THEIR games? Change this website all around to do that? Maybe even be free for a basic membership, and charge a few dollars to be able to download "certain" games? Or just be a free site, like this one is? Just an idea.
Sooo, what can I do with this GCD file, for THIS game? Otherwise, I'm just going to delete it, and forget it.
And did I say, I really appreciated this website, over the few years, I've known it, Thank You! You've done great work, to make a lot of people happy (and some not, lol, but their just losers, can't make everyone happy unfortunately).

joanofark06, Hi, the gcd file is a security wrapper. You have to click on the orange colored icon with the key symbol to get the game to install. Because the file is protected by a Themida wrapper, some security software/suites block will the installation and in some cases even delete the games exe file because Themida code can also be used to hide malware' however, in this case it is used to protect the executable from hackers.

We used to have a problem with community members unwrapping the original executable that meant they could install the game any time anywhere. This became an issue because some of those people thought it would be cool to upload those executables to peer to peer sites, making those games accessible to thousands of people for free after the giveaway ended.

If you've tried clicking on the orange file and not been able to install the game, it sounds like your security is blocking the installation. There are three things you can do to get the game to install.

1) ... White-list the giveaway files with your security. This will allow the game to be installed.
2) ... Reboot your computer in safe mode with networking, install the game, then reboot as normal.
3) ... this is the easiest and quickest way, temporarily turn off your security, install the game, then turn your security back on.

The giveaway team have been giving games away since December 2006 (around 1500) and have 'never' given a game away that was infected with malware. I'm also sure that the developer who has posted comments here today would not like to be tarnished by allowing their game to be infected. Hope the above suggestions help.

The internet looked like a good idea when it began. But it has had the unfortunate effect of making people's skills absolutely worthless. Why would you buy a book or a CD when you can download dozens, even hundreds for free? Why would you buy a game when you can download them all for free?

Why should anyone spend hours, months, years creating something, editing it, perfecting it - and then give it out to the world without payment? Even game creators, musicians and writers like to eat now and again - and you can't download the weekly shop for free.

A free sample so that you can try something is fine - at the end of the sample you can buy it if you liked it, delete it if you didn't. But if the creator can't eat or keep warm - you're not going to get much more from them.

Basilica, Totally agree with what you've said above. Personally I've spent tens of thousand on games over the years (my Steam library alone has cost me over £40 000). I've always been happy to pay full price for my games, though getting them at a discount is great to. I do appreciate the time and effort that goes in to many games, though there are more and more games on the market that have been created using game engines that enable you to throw together a basic game in a few hours. They tend to require no coding experience and use shared assets; so you can see various models, and even background scenery repeated in lots of games.

I've definitely got my moneys worth out of many of my games. I don't go out drinking, my clubbing days basically ended when I left university and we rarely go out for meals as they do not cater well for our vegetarian diets. So..... although the sum I quoted above sounds like a lot, its my main entertainment. Some of the games I've played over the years for example the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) and older games like Battlefield 2 and Oblivion I've spent thousands of hours playing them over the years. My Steam copy of ESO for example shows that I've played over 6000 hours since it was released in 2014.

The game installed with no issues on win 10. I found the game to be festive and relaxing fun. I will definitely be playing it when the Christmas season is here.
