I found it a bit more interesting when I realized that the strategy is in where you put your dumped lines. If you drop them near the middle, it gives you more control over where you choose to drop the good lines. Since you can adjust the speed of the drop but not how far to move it right or left, the only way to really choose a spot is to make sure the space beside the one you want is filled.

I generally like match3 games especially those offering variety and challenges. Colour Blocks and Colour Cubes don't quite fit the bill. Very ordinary and a wasted download! Looking forward to tomorrow's offering.

For a time waster it wasn't that bad, but I did get a little bored. The game seemed to take forever to finish the first level, but then i didn't realize I was supposed to be collecting specific matches until the end of that first level. I managed to keep the blocks down to the bottom two lines and even virtually cleared them several times before the first level finished. I stopped playing at that point as I have hundreds, no, thousands of much better games. :)

This is the first time I have a problem - download and installing went fine but the exe is not startable. It says there should be a folder xxx next to the exe which is there. But don't worry, I am coming back tomorrow to see what we get. As the others are not fond of it and I have a lot of other games to play, I let it be.

BTW: The one from last Sunday with Solar was more fun than I thought and I finished it today.

So it's not exactly tetris. Every piece consists of three squares in line and we can change their order somewhat but cannot rotate them. The steering is what really breaks the game. Clicking on an arrow initially moves the piece to the leftmost or rightmost column, but then if you click an arrow again the program tries to guess which column you wanted it to move the piece to. The problem is it is horrible at guessing. I played for some time and the game just stopped. I didn't notice if I scored a certain number of matches or what. IMMO this game is not completely useless, but it does require big changes to make it playable and enjoyable.

I don't want cornish hen a la westchester and prime rib of Mutton au Jus with kreplach sauce bordelaise. I want my HASENPFEFFER! HASENPFEFFER I say!

We had Color Blocks last week. Aren't blocks and cubes the same thing?

Another freaky female with big cantaloupes sitting in the background doing NOTHING. The same dame thing as last week. WHAT she THERE for?

This game would be much COOLER if the color blubes and culocks were cute lil moving sea creatures and the freaky female with purple hair was a aquarium you could build by yourself.

The maker of this game must live in the Sahara Desert because he is the opposite of super cool. And I don't mean he is super hot. I mean he is super UNCOOL!

I cannot see who wrote the review here but I agree completely! It seems that in WhiteRabbits response he tries hard to take the blame of lack of review here but it it the fault of the company or GOTD here. Make sure he gets a copy or make it policy that he gets a copy early so that he can make his review! His time is VERY VERY valuable and it means a lot to so many here. His reviews are better than I have seen on sites that pay for games and many many here look to his review to decide if the game is worthy of our time. As said there are a lot of sites that offer games, but this one had WhiteRabbit's review. I am sure everyone knows how valuable is reviews are and I know that his time is even more valuable. Many of us are very disappointed when we see that he was unable to get a copy in time to do a review. BTW WhiteRabbit, STOP trying to take the blame on this. We all know that if you could get it on time you would do a review, but it takes time that you are not given. We love and respect your reviews period!

Just keep hitting the spacebar once the blocks are at the bottom to hit them with the laser to destroy them. You'll rack up points. Oooookay? Not very exciting to say the least. Then again it was made for a cellphone originally. Don't much see the point of playing it on a desk or laptop computer, unless maybe your 5 yrs old? I don't have any children that young so wouldn't know! Nice graphics though, I'll give them that. They need to quit converting these made for phone games to computer & wasting their time and talent. Write some real games made for computers! Then they would be on to something worth while! I give it a 2 1/2 out of 10 & that is only because it had to take some time & energy to convert the game in the first place. Here again you don't want to re-size the window! I did that for the last game conversion and it was totally unplayable after that & I never did figure out how to get it back to its original window!

It is unfortunate that these Android games are now offered here instead of the type of games that were traditionally offered. It would seem that those days and games are on a fast decline.

It's just a more colourful version of Tetris really, and also for the Android platform, so just a small fixed-size pop-up window in the middle of the desktop - not very impressive at all.

The game download, installed and played well on W7. It seems to be a game like the old Tetris - the size of the window makes
me think its more for phones though.
I loved tetris and so eagerly played the first level but it was boring! The music was creepy and not exciting at all.
It was hard to control the falling blocks.
You couldnt speed the blocks up and had to let them fall at their own slowwwww pace or they hit the bottom too fast.
Then they went to either FAR side of the screen when you tried to position them. It was very hard to get them to fall where you wanted and that was the first level!
Oh dear .... was so looking forward to the game.
I'll have to uninstall it.

I would suggest gotd inform the game company about the value of giving a demo to whiterabbit for the reviews! I pretty much decide by his reviews and comments supplied by others as whether I will download the game. There are thousands of games out there! Reviews help us dudes come to decision of wheather will will or wouldn't download! Gotd only gives maybe one or two games away per week. There are web pages that give away hundreds of games! It is my opinion that web sites donate a game to gotd because gotd is popular! AND why is game gotd so popular - I.E. The Rabbit's reviews! Without his reviews, this site would be boring....nobody would come here..and the donating game company would have no value donating a game here....Hmmm...should I download this game??? Hopefully others will make good comments????/

I hate not posting a review, but the time it takes me to wrte one up, usually a minimum of 4 hours, but it can take me several hours depending on the game I'm reviewing as I also have to play the game for an hour or more to do it justice. Weekends have become very busy of late, with more time devoted to my kids as they are approaching exam time plus other things that I have become involved in. I still enjoy moderating and if i can get a demo, or the full download I'll usually spend the late hours and early morning before the giveaway writing up a review. I do use a particular formula these days that makes it easier to finish a review, but there are always time consuming tasks like taking screen captures uploading, the getting the right coding so that they show up in the review, checking the main game sites for bargains of the week etc.

This game is also designed for Android, which doesn't have to be a problem of course.

Normally I like those Tetris-like block-games but this one is useless.
After strating the gam you get in screen where the blocks fall down. There is a icon to get the colours in a different order and there are aroows for left, right and down.
The blocks always fall in the 3rd column from the left. The left arrow brings the block to the utmost left column and the right arrow to the utmost right one. The aroow-keys on the keyboard do't work amd you can't move them just one column at a time.

I'm sorry, but this is a useless game (at least on a pc)
