Great game!!!! I love this type of game, play it everyday!!!

I like bounce the ball games. I like science fiction. This game is a real treat. THANKS. I'ld give it a 7! Controls were a little jumpy on my slow machine.

Love this type of game. After downloading I played it all the way through to the end and enjoyed the congrats screen.

I sent an email to Signal support because all I got was a black screen and a flashing tile at the bottom. They told me to update my directx and graphics card--even tho I told them in my email that all my drivers were updated, so I humored them and tried to update them but got messages that both are newer than the downloads available.

I also use Avast anti-virus and I did not get any messages about trojans on my install.

PC completely blocked. No ALT+TAB or CTRL+ESC working.
HW Reset only option!!!!!!

I like the amount of fine paddle control on this breakout game. Too many other breakout games do not have good paddle controls like this one does.

I think a lot of people who didn't download this made the same presupposition about the game and its experience. This is araknoid on steroid on Jungle Fever. Overall, cool game. Thanks!

Actually, seems to work fine once I turn off vertical sync in nvidia control panel- there's always going to be complainers - personally I think the story is fun, the graphics are great, and the sound is easily the best aspect of the game - well done guys-

Hey all & GoTD. On installing this game, Avast! Anti-virus screened this Trojan Horse Win32:Obfuscated-EB [Trj].

It's probably a good thing that those downloading should be made aware of.
I don't know what software GoTD uses to screen their GoTD game & software giveaway, but it seems they have let one thru the crack/net that Avast! has picked-up anyway.

Any feedback from GoTD would be appreciated. Ta, ta-ta :)

Re. "Black Screen"s. I also experienced the same with my XP. I noticed while playing, with my virus up-date running in the background, minimized the game when the up-date completed. I then got the usual "up-date complete notice". It also happened when the "virus scan complete" notice appeared. I also noticed a "pattern" between levels, there was a "delay" (with "black screen") prior to loading next screen. - This never happened During play at any level. IMO this may have been due to my having additional programs running in the background.
Overall gameplay was rather original for this style of game, without the "frantic" pace of many. It may have been because I was "sleepy" when I played the game prior to going to bed. I usually ignore "story lines" and/or level score "recaps". I found myself getting "into" this break in level play. I also began competeing against myself within the 4 part scores for each level. Every level seemed to get more difficult as the game progressed. (this may've also been due to my being tired - LOL )8-) "Perception can be reality".
I hope my observiations have been useful. This game surprised me presently with it's orignality.

True! I can control the game entirely from my mouse, which makes the game thoroughly enjoyable and keeps your mind on the game itself, instead of on controlling the 'spaceship.'

It was an easy validation and install but I was disappointed in the graphics. They were flat and uninteresting (to me.) I think the developers will find that most people are looking for glitz, originality and 3D, which this game does not have, except perhaps the balls themselves.

I have Arkanoid's 'Meteor,' game which I thoroughly enjoy, but this game looks like it was created many years ago, when downloading games first became possible.

The actual idea of the game is good, jungles, gods, rocks, and other things to clear, but it loses it's appeal very quickly.

Also, the game is too easy, I'm just flying through the levels and expect to finish in about 30 minutes from now, according to the path that gets traveled at the end of each level.

The bonus rounds are fast, cool, original and pretty much unique in their execution compared to other games. I really enjoy those. :)

I often found myself frustrated, bored and hoping for a fast ball, or multiple balls, just to get a little excitement going and forget about the glaring flatness of the background.

Wow! This is the first negative synopsis of a game that I've ever given - sorry Arkanoid. I do appreciate that you've given away many copies for free and for that I thank you. I will continue to try your games if GOTD offers them here first and buy them if I fall in love with them.

Another BIG thank you to GOTD for this website and all they do to maintain it ;) Now I'm off to see what you're giving away today on serious software ;)

I, too had the same problem as another user--I downloaded, installed, started the game and all I get is a black screen with a green tile at the bottom of the page. Takes forever to get it cancelled. Had to give it the 3 finger salute twice because the first time, as soon as I clicked on the task manager to end the game, it went back to the game and that same tile flashing.

I've not had problems with other downloads so I don't know what my problem is here. My system is more than enough to handle this game and up to date.

To #17 Lori - I have Comodo Firewall and it asked to accept/deny right in the beginning of the install and then again as it finished the install. I suggest you try installing it again and look immediately for that Comodo accept/deny screen.

I love the arkanoid/breakout games and this one has beautiful graphics and an interesting storyline. I thought it was a nice change from all the other arkanoid clone games. Thanks to Game Seeker, who has once again given a great review of the game. I've always appreciated your straight forward, factual reviews. Thanks also to Teri, who's listed some of the issues.

One big issue I have with this game is that on my XP Pro computer it often went to a totally black screen between levels and thought it had locked up my computer. However, I waited a few moments (seemed longer at times), and everything came back fine. Once, it actually minimized itself during the black screen, but when I brought it back up it was fine. Not sure if others are seeing this, but wanted to mention this fact, as I've never had any other games that go to a black screen like this before.

Otherwise, I’m totally impressed with Sigma Team for such a great game. Got to get back to it…

THis is a breakout game, but a really, really dumb one. Horrible translation, so don't read the text. They need to learn that breakout doesn't need some dumb "plot" and just make it with bricks where you can actually see what you are shooting at.

I liked the game. Good graphics, sounds, and the making in general. It's an arcanoid, alright, but with a different approach at that. The developers did use some imagination, good for them. Thanx guys for this one!

One small side note to everyone: I don't think it's very nice for anyone to say bad things about GAOTD. because you are not happy with a piece of software. Keep in mind, the stuff GAOTD. puts out is, FREE !!!! be greatfull for what you have.

Good game.. nice attention to detail. The balls slow down for a moment when you come back from pause, which is a genius idea for a casual game like this!

Not too bad, it's definitely a new twist on breakout games. My fav is still Hyperball though.

Looking at the companies other games, I would say that this is not their best production. The Alien Shooter series, despite the pitifully obvious name, looks like it is quite well done. I look forward to seeing one of those games on here!

I had been hoping for some kind of word puzzle type game but I'm certainly not disappointed with this! A really lovely breakout style game. Took me ages to download but it was well worth it. I really like the backgrounds, the little bits of storyline (not too long, just enough) and tips between levels, the score breakdowns, and easy going gameplay at the lower levels. I could say more but I'd really only be repeating Game Seekers excellent review above.

This game gets full marks - thanks Sigma Team and GGOTD.

This game was a lot of fun. But notice the "Was" in there. I would have been disappointed by the game if I had paid for it, purely because I was able to beat it on the first run through, with 9 lives left after the last level.

Very cool departure from the core arkanoid concept. I was impressed and really did enjoy it.

I had fun with this one and the install / activate went fine.

The only things I would comment to the developers on are:

1. Make the "ball" a different color, or at least have that option. I can hardly see it even on the slower beginning levels - I know that can be part of the fun, but it can be very frustrating if you can't see the ball against the background. Especially when it gets really small, the butterflies were easier to see that the little ball.

2. Tell about the different power ups etc. on one screen in an area accesses from the menu. I got a little frustrated having to read all of that "stuff" between the levels.

3. The same with the score totaling screen between levels. It seemed redundant since it is on the right side of the screen the whole level. If the game just paused between levels - say waiting for me to click - then all I would have to do is look at the totals on the right side of the screen before continuing on to see what my scores were for a level.

4. Minor quibble - if you can "kill" the acid or whatever the bosses are shooting at you with the ball, you should be able to shoot it too. Also, when I lost a life the boss kept shooting acid as my ship regenerated and I lost all 4 lives I had in a row as the ship re-appeared where the acid was. Not just close and I didn't move it, but right on top of the ship and it died before it even completely appeared. :(

Having said that - tha graphics were nice and I agree with having the curved face to the ship. A lot of the arkanoid games you have to try to guess how far to the left or right of center to hit the ball since the "bat" is flat and there is no real indication of how far / wide to the side the ball is going to go depending on where you hit it.

I also like the "bombs". If you use a bit of strategy you can really make some spectacular chain reactions.

OK, off to play some more... no giant plant is going to do me in!

Not the game l thought it was going to be, breakout games become boring too quickly.

Hmmm... this is the first time a program I've downloaded from GGotD that wouldn't work for me!

When I try to run the game, all I get is the Chak glyph (with green, flashing lights) at the bottom-center of an otherwise black screen. The glyph stays on the screen for a couple of minutes or so, then the screen goes completely black and music starts playing.

*Sigh* I love Arkanoid-type games, and was looking forward to this one!

You're going to love this game if you are in favor of destroying rainforests. It's level after level of blowing up jungle plants. Everyone else might lose interest by level 5?

Nice game. This breakout game allows more control than previous, including paddle of lesser arche (at least on lower levels). Relaxing music. Enjoyable, but not frantic on lower levels. Recommend if you like breakouts or for passing the time and taking your mind off whatever. Thanks GAOTD.

Nice one Sigma team. I profess to be an Arkanoid freak, having now well over 150 arkanoids, and played countless more; but I've never seen this little gem. It's relatively easy to progress through the levels, but as GameSeeker has already said in other words, nice eye candy, ovely effects and music I like. One more for the collection :) .

For those who refuse even to download this, you may be missing a treat.

In the true tradition of the GOTD you've given us yet another great game, I haven't played yet as Im on dial-up,but it looks awsome. And just to drop an idea try to keep your giveaways under 30M just a dial-up users opinion.

Hello! First of all, thanks for all the nice games you have provided us with.

When I try to activate this game (Chaks Temple), I only get this message:

'Activation module failed to connect to game.giveawayoftheday.com. Software activation is not possible at the moment. Please try again or check your firewall settings.'

The other games that I have downloaded have asked my firewall for permission to access the Internet, but this game did not do that. It seems that the game expects that no firewall should be present. If I shut down my firewall, the game would probably get connected. Obviously I cannot do that.

Firewall: Comodo Firewall Pro. Antivirus: Avast Antivirus. None of them have reported anything. That means (usually) they (Antivirus/ Firewall) did not get a access request froim the game.

Does anyone have a solution ?

Now this is a real good game. I have really had a good time with this game. I did not think I would, but I am sure glad I gave it a chance. I don't want to stop. Thank you so much GGOTD. You are the best.

I really like this game. I like being able to save it when I quit. One thing is those round things look like turtles. When I bash them once, their top comes off and they turn red (blood?) and then the second time, they're smashed to smithereens. I know that they aren't supposed to be turtles, but they sure look like it. Thanks GGOTD. I love Arkanoid games anytime.
