Introduction:

Who thought to put the fortress so close to each other? Now we have no choice. We'll have to destroy the enemy outpost! What? These insolent decided to defend themselves and gather an army? How? Is their army going on the offensive? Can not be! Well, in this case, act, my lord. Smash the enemies and destroy their stronghold! Motherland will not forget you and the King will reward you generously for the victory!

Installation:

Castle Rencounter downloads to a 94.7 MB zip file that unzips to two files, (a set-up executable and a read me). The game installs to the following path by default, but can be changed if you wish. The installed game is approximately 262 MB in size.

Five shortcuts are installed to the desktop, four of which can be safely deleted (i.e. Falco Space - Online Game!, FalconLine Online Games Website, FalcoGo WebGL Games! and Free Games Downloads!). If you don't want to install the games shortcut to the desktop during installation, just make sure the install desktop shortcut is unchecked when the 'additional task's window appears; you will still get two of the other Falcoware shortcuts installed (i.e. FalconLine Online Games Website & FalcoGo WebGL Games shortcuts). Also, if you don't like icons installed to the quick launch task bar, make sure you also uncheck the appropriate checkbox when the 'additional task's window appears (after the Select Start Menu Folder window).

The Game with Conclusion:

A clicker game with 40 levels. This game was removed from the Steam store at the request of the developer. I think I can see why as well becasue the game play is so unbalanced and slow, I fiound it extremely boring. There are no changes of backgrounds, there are only three soldiers you use, a bowman, spearman and knight. The bowman is so weak, it is virtually ineffective, the spearman is also fairly weak, however, the knight at times can kill everything in its path, yet at other times it is killed after only afew hits. when you reach level 40, you get amessage saying that's the end of the levels; howver, you can continue to play for a slong as you like, building up your gold reserves. There's nothing else to spend it on though. When you select one of your soldiers to fight, he undergoes a short period of training, that is show as a bar. when the bar is full, the soldier appears at the castle gates and moves forwards to the enemy castle. Enemy soldier advance towards your castle and the aim of the game is to stop them reaching and destroying your castle. It took me less than 40 minutes to complete all levels. There was little variation between levels, with the enemey soldiers sending out two different soldiers and one defender. I only had to train a couple of knights and a spearman each time to win the battles. Not one enemy came close to attacking my castle througyhout the whole 40 levels. Game deleted from ymcomputer. there are two types of bonusgold drops. The first is awarded when you kill an enemy. This is automatically added to your gold reserver. The second bonus gold appears randomly. you hvave to click on the gold to collect it. If you don't it disappears. The movement of your soldiers is excruciatinglky slow. The game would be improved somewhat if there was a speed toggle, that enabled your attacking army to move faster.

Problems getting the game to work:

If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Castle Rencounter to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments because sometimes fixes have already been posted, for example, a common issue seen since the Themida wrapper was introduced three years ago is that some community members installation of the game are blocked by their security because Themida code has been known to hide malware, (usually an error message is flagged for example 'The executable is corrupted' even though in reality it is not); so as a precaution some anti malware programs will block and even delete the suspect installation files even though the files (i.e. the setup, read me and setup.gcd files are actually totally free from malware. This issue can be solved either by rebooting your computer in safe mode with networking or a quicker method is to temporarily turn off your security software to allow the installation. You could also try white-listing the setup.gcd file. In the almost 12 years this game giveaway site has been operating there has 'never' been a game given away that was infected with malware.
