Introduction:
Cargo Cult: Shoot'n'Loot VR is an episodic Steampunk VR shoot ‘em up in which players take control of the last airship of the Great Mechanical Armada. In order to retrieve the legendary treasure of El Dorado, players will have to venture deep into the hostile lands of the Cargo Cult, a world full of ancient wooden mechanisms and stone golems worshipping them, beautiful palms and deadly homing missiles. Conclusion:
I only managed to play Cargo Cult for a very short time. The constant motion made me feel nauseous and fuzzy. I tied it to play the game a few more times but ended up with a blinding headache. I've had at least 15 surgical interventions on my eyes and which have left me with weak eye muscles that are strained easily. I've found some motion-based games do the same thing and I think the eye surgery has something to do with the problem. Not all VR games cause this for me, but this game being a rail shooter, you are constantly moving forwards and attacking, so the motion is non stop.
Suggestions:

If you win a key and once you've had an opportunity to play Cargo Cult: Shoot'n'Loot VR please take a few moments to give some positive or negative feedback; for example, what you liked or disliked about the game, or how it could be improved. If you don't like the genre at all, please explain why and if any, what improvements would change your mind? Once the competition is over, you can access the comments section by going to the game giveaways home page, then scroll to the bottom of the page where it says Archives and select the date the giveaway was live (giveaway days are in bold type). This will open up the appropriate page for you to post your comment or review (Mon 6th Nov). Alternatively, you can Google the name of the game and include Gamegiveawayoftheday in the search. This should give you a list of links to when this game was given away.

There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers new or fresh ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini-games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re-skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality? Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish or good may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would 'you' give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only needs a few moments of your time.

This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free instead of complaining about the way this site has changed, for example, they don't like MPC games, they hate HOG's, have had enough of Match Three and Time Management games or they want to see the latest version of Call of Duty or some other big name AAA game given away or that they don't like Steam games. If something isn't for you then please move on to the next giveaway, or check out the forums HERE, HERE and HERE, where a few members of the community post details of various free games and free game sites as well as links to various indie bundle sites etc; you never know, you may find something that really interests you.
If you miss today's game giveaway you can always get the game via Steam HERE for £10.99/$14.99

when is a giveaway not a giveaway? when ye have to jump through hoops and promote the product. As for #4 if ye only wantpositive feedback, what's the point.

........................................Moderator comment.......................................

Both negative and positive feedback for all games posted here are welcome. I say as much in my reviews. As for jumping through hoops. A few mouse clicks are IMO hardly jumping through hoops. I only use social media to r get free games. It took a few moments of my time and since then I've received some excellent games via this and other sites who use the same method for giving away free Steam keys.

The following line has been copied from STEAM !!

Notice: Requires a virtual reality headset. See the VR Support section for more info.

So what do the rest of us - the other 99% of GAOTD users - do ??

Thanks Panoramik - (the Developers & Publishers) for NOTHING.

framplot, a game with "VR" in the name needs a VR headset. And the rest of GAOTD users can wait for another game, it won't kill us. Just don't be rude to Devs for giving out stuff, even if ya gotta win it first. It doesn't look too shabby for a game to win on GAOTD.

framplot, I agree with Boa, also, the developers are giving away 100 licenses worth $14.99 each, that's $1499 worth of software they are giving away; which in my book is amazing. So, not every game I've seen given away here since I first found this site back in Jan 2007 has been to my liking, but I've always appreciated the site for what it has done. Of course, as Whiterabbit has already mentioned many times the scene has changed over the years, with other free game sites, many developers going out of business, the price of arcade games dropping significantly and of course those cheap indie bundles that are usually 95% off the usual price have affected this site a lot over the last five or six years, but they are still finding decent games and for me the addition of Steam games is a massive plus.

This site has given away hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of games over the 11 years it's been operating. Just because a game doesn't fit into your remit doesn't mean it deserves such rudeness.

The good news is that as V.R. headsets are not a common purchase for most gamers yet, for example, the Steam V.R. headset is almost $900 {at least it's dropped almost $100 in price since it was originally released last year}), those that do have a headset, or those that are planning to get one soon, probably stand a better chance of getting a key through this offer.
