Oops forgot somthing..I am running win xp home ed. I have low ram, but had to change my laptops res to 800x600 and not full screen mode in order to play the game, or it would stall or not play, n lock up on me.

There's a free memory organiser called Game Booster that will free up around 20 to 30% of you system RAM. Basically it turns off uneeded windows system files, plus you can configure it to turn off non windows background programs as well, thus freeing up more memory for the game. It really works. Basically once its set up you just have to click a single button to turn the booster on. When you're done click the button again and it brings all the programs back online. I think it may have been updated so that yo don't even have to do that.

You may find you'll be able to play it in full screen. :)

I am fairly new to this site so I'd like to say hi and thanks for this great game! I have had brain damage due to a motorcycle accident and i find these types of game very helpful in recovering my mental motor skills. This game is indeed challenging and got to say very addicting :) i am a beginner of sorts with digital graffics but I love the scenes in this game. Thanks for giving us this game and i hope to buy a few nore like it. :)

I used to be a motorcyclist as well. Loved my bikes, I was involved in a serious road traffic accident nearly 8 years ago, but was actually on a bicycle at the time. Broke my back in 4 places and injured my brain. The hospital sent me home with no treatment, so consequrntly went downhill somewhat. Thankfully only some hormonal imbalances resulted due to the pituitary being damaged plus poor memory and concentration. (but that's partly due to the opiates i have to take).

I do hope you are able to recover from the injuries eventually. Glad you like the game. sorry ittook me all day to moderate your comment. I tend not to check oncce the giveaway is over until mid week.

Still not able to get this to work. I'm running Windows 8 Pro 64bit. The trial version of this game from Playrix doesn't work either. I'm not able to switch video cables. If that is the problem, that just doesn't make sense.

Sorry I missed this, but I still have this installed from last year's giveaway. In my opinion it is one of the top three offerings by Playrix. I'm not much of a match three enthusiast, but I enjoyed the combination of match three and hidden object and wish Playrix would use this concept in more of it's games. I guess one of the reasons I like it so much is that the match three is challenging; it does tend to get a bit too challenging in the later levels, in my opinion, but I still enjoy it and wish Playrix would use this format in more of their games.

I highly recommend this game.

I had this game on a previous computer - but lost it when that PC died. So I'm very pleased to have been able to get it back yesterday!

I actually managed to finish this one, which I very rarely do with computer games, so I shall now see if I can finish it again and get the matching screensaver!

This is one of my all-time favorites. I got it from Bigfish over 3 years ago, and keep it installed, because I still go back to it every once in a while. While I prefer to have the option of an untimed mode, I do manage to get thru this one without it, partly because of the powerups/bonuses. As with most Playrix games, I love the lush graphics and inventive, creative gameplay. The ratio of match-3 to hidden object is just about right for me, as I like match-3 much more than HO.

Seriously installed today and I am on Carthage level 6 and praying someone just smacks me because I cannot finish this level.
So if I lose my lives I will have to restart?

Downloaded and installed easily on Windows 7 64 bit OS. This is just a beautiful game! I love hidden object games and usually avoid match games if I can help it, but Call of Atlantis combines the two so wonderfully that playing is a lot of fun. The graphics are so gorgeous that I've actually made some wallpapers from them. The story line is interesting and easy to follow. The music is pleasant and never annoying. And as far as the game play is concerned, although I haven't gotten too far, it's both interesting and challenging. I would give all constituents of the game: the graphics, music, general game play, and re-playability all 9. And I really want to thank both GOTD and Playrix for this very delightful treat this weekend!

same problem as I had at the last game giveaway I trie Älchemy mahjhong,the game down loaded without bother but again I am unable to open the readme, activation etc, looks like I will have to go to Playcity for this one. Any ideas as to why this happens?

For some reason the mouse will not work on this game. I am using Windows 8 64 bit.

Make the game more difficult. At the moment I have 122 lives left and it became boring.

First time every having an issue installing a Playrix game. Say it isn't so!!! Installed and launched game; screen goes black, then bounces back to desktop. Game icon is in the tray; I click on that, screen goes black, then bounces back to desktop. SIGH! Win7 Home Premium 64-bit. Tried various compability mode with no luck :(

How did GGOTD know I was playing this very game last night? Maybe Mr B was peeking? I have only lost 2 lives and am already in Troy. The best power up is The Amulet of Poseidon. It doesn't save to the next level so always use it the minute it is powered up. Power it up as many times as you can during a level. So..for the record, I did not download this game but if you don't have it..make sure you get it. It's a good game just to relax with or play for 15 or 20 mins.

I do agree they need a Relaxed Mode for younger/older and "swampy" :) people.

Thanks GGOTD and Playrix for a game that is NOT a Total HOG or a TM game. They make me crazy.

The game is enjoyable, but I have a technical problem: it generates a huge workload for my graphics card. After starting the game I can always hear the GPU coolers speed up. But in spite of the better (and louder) cooling, a continuous 60 minutes of playing makes my graphics card so hot that the PC switches off, without any warning. No crash and reboot, but a complete switching off, as if the power was gone.

I've got only two games from Playrix (this and Royal Envoy), and both drive my PC into this sudden switch-off. I've experienced nothing like this with any other games, and I've played quite a few, including Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights 2.

I guess Playrix's game designers paid no attention to power saving routines. Playrix should look into this matter.

I don't think having a second copy would be the problem.

Another awesome game, with only one con: No Zen mode. I have beta tested a few games for Playrix and when appropriate I have always suggested a zen or untimed mode. I just wish that it were available for each of the older games as a "fix" download on their site.

Love Playrix games and have them on my Kindle fire as well.

I finally got it sorted. I had an hdmi cable from cpu to monitor and I swapped that out for a vga cable. The game now works on my win8.

A few community members seem to be having this problem. I can't explain it as i'm still able to downlaod and install the game. Mabye youe computer clock is wrong????

Excellent..! I have this game on my Kindle Fire, but with the PC version today I can delete it from my tablet and save some precious RAM.

My only problem with the game is the concept of "lives" and having to start over from the beginning if you fail too often. I don't mind having to re-play the same level a number of times to get it right, but being forced to go back to the "noobie" levels if things just don't fall right is really annoying.

I prefer their approach in "4 Elements" which allows you to replay a level as often as you need to get through it.

Otherwise, great game..!

I downloaded this and installed it. I cannot get it to work at all. I'm running Windows 8 and have tried different compatibility modes and running as administrator. When I try to run the program, a black box shows for a second and disappears and that's it. Anyone else having trouble running this game?

This game doesn't work on my Win8. When I click to open, a screen flashes briefly and goes away. Tried compatibility troubleshooter to no avail. Also tried running as admin. Any suggestions?
Also, I have Call of Atlantis on my Win7 already, but some of the pictures above look slightly different. Is it a newer version? If I tried d/l'ing it to my Win7 would the game I already have be overwritten or lost?

Love the game, installed on Win 7 easily, graphics are very very good, nice and colorful. Nice combo of match 3 and hidden objects. Hint button is very helpful for those especially tiny pieces for those of us whose eyes do not work as well as they used to...

Shortest Giveaway Day on record - less than 6 hours and the giveaway period is up according to the installation software. Download was slow but worked fine, installation - ran setup and told giveaway period for this software had expired? June 1st 9am Atlantic time.

Yes I agree. One thing that would improve many of these Match 3 games is a relaxed mode. It really is frustrating when you gewt to a level that you have to repeat several times just to get through it.

Untimed levels in Match 3 should always be an option. Or perhaps make the first two attempts to complete a board timed, but the third untimed. That's one thing I hated about "Around the World in 80 Days." I made it about halfway through that game and got to a level I could not complete within the time limit. Tried it about four or five times, got frustrated, and quit the game.

Developers should make better use of the color orange.

It ain't FROGDOM, but it's still a good game.

I also downloaded this game from a previous offer. I love it. It is not just a match 3 game it has other aspects. The only thing I am not fond of are the very small pieces that you have to search for. Some are so tiny they are very difficult to find. All in all it is a great game.

Zorg ervoor dat als je gebruik maakt van Firefox of Internet Explorer is niet offline en probeer het wijzigen van de beeldschermresolutie, of beter nog, als je kunt in ieder geval de wedstrijd open te controleren om te zien of het werkt in windowed mode eerste. Als dat zo is, probeer dan wijzigen van de beeldschermresolutie.

Hoeveel geheugen heeft uw computer hebt? Het kan zijn dat uw computer niet het geheugen hebben?

I downloaded this last time round, but lost it when my computer crashed. I'm delighted to see it again: I've been playing it from MyPlayCity but will get this version to avoid being automatically put into the MPC site at the end of each play time (a small niggle, but nicer if it doesn't happen).

Regarding this game, it's one of the very few Match 3 games that I've really enjoyed. The graphics are gorgeous, the logic gets harder at each successive level, and the hidden object scenes give a welcome break. I particularly like the way the matching happens - many Match 3 games are too "hectic" for me in that the special effects can be too garish, whereas the effects for this one feel more relaxed. Don't get me wrong - the gameplay can feel anything but relaxed as you get to the later levels, and indeed the third one of seven (Troy) can really catch you out as although the logic isn't particularly difficult, the time you're given is suddenly a lot less than before!!

All in all, I thoroughly recommend Call of Atlantis and add a word of warning - it's incredibly addictive!
