Fun game. The presentation is kinda blah, and I quickly killed the music. But this solitaire variant, though oddly familiar, is one I haven't played before - and it's quite challenging and addictive. I like the fact that there are ranks to be attained and scores that are cumulative - makes it more compelling to play "just one more" well into the night.

Hello again everyone,

I'd like to thank both #32 Netvida and #33 Crabby Gabby for their responses. :) I'm now able to play the game, and I'm enjoying it immensely - I've never played this type of solitaire before!

Number 18 seems to be the only one other than myself who has played this game and found it to be buggy. I've had problems with cards migrating to places where they did not belong, and one stunning game in which I had played every card on the tableau only to find that the suits did not have equal numbers of cards. It is just not fair to have five of any given denomination.

I liked the game the first few times I played it, but would be feeling robbed if I had payed for it.

@28 Swan & others unable to read the instructions:

My post (#26) must not have been displayed yet when you were here earlier. You have to DRAG the lantern on the "INSTRUCTIONS" screen down with the mouse to continue reading. Unlike most of the previous offerings from DoubleGames, this one actually seems to work well and is enjoyable if you like solitaire.

#28. "I can’t get to the 2nd screen of the Help file. :/ Every time I click to turn the page - nothing happens"
For what it's worth, scroll/arrow down (not page down) for the rest of the instructions.

I find the game hard to understand because there is no option buttons, hints, etc. and the cards don't stack (like in regular solitaire). Maybe I'm missing something?

This is my 1st time posting here. This is a GR8 game! I always enjoy a good challenging game of Solitaire. Nice music to go along with the gameplay. I had no problems at all with d/l,installing or playing any of the games on both my Laptop & Desktop. I have been downloading some of your games for the past couple of weeks now. I have enjoyed all the ones that I picked! Hubby has also enjoyed some of them. I want to say keep up the good work GGOTD! We had a ball(no pun intended)playing "Roboball"....would love to see more of those type of games. I also enjoy the Mystery/Hunt/Search type games. Hubby also enjoys games like "Magic Tea"...he does really well with "Zuma" type games....I look forward to getting your emails everyday to see what you have to offer next...

Solitaire is always fun.

Why do they have to theme it wierd and give a horribly cheesy description?

Thanks oldgirl comment #22, I don't have the energy to write a decent review every day. Usually my better reviews are of games I like. I wont be around for 3 weeks from the 14th May because I'm going into hospital for some functional restoration, lol. (no sympathy please) I hope Game Seeker comes back because his reviews are much better than mine. He tends to be much more objective. :)

Everyone have a great weekend.

Good morning everyone! ;)

One can always enjoy another solitaire game. And while this game activated and installed easily enough - I'm having trouble learning the game - because I can't get to the 2nd screen of the Help file. :/ Every time I click to turn the page - nothing happens.

If anyone can help me with the game play, I'd be grateful. I was so looking forward to a peaceful solitaire game, while I drank my Saturday morning coffee too.

The graphics are cartoony, sweet and professional with lovely vibrant colors and I found the animation smooth as a baby's bottom ;)

There doesn't seem to be any kind of actual options screen, other than the in-game controls for sound FX and music - and that's not even for volume, just on and off.

The music is pleasant and I found it ambient to the game while I tried to figure out what the heck I was doing.

Thanks Double Games for another free game, but I have to ask - do you even test the software, before release? I'm still hoping that you'll allow us to evaluate, test and possibly buy your more complex games later in the month. You have some really fantastic ones!

Thanks again GOTD - this looks like an interesting and enjoyable game for solitaire lovers!

Have a wonderful day everyone! ;)

Please see software developer's own website for this game. I was looking for instructions myself, see my prior comment, and clicked through from the GGOTD site. Get this, this sofware is a FREE download on the developer's site. Clever give-away marketing to cross-promote it on this site, but not exactly honest. Disappointing.

I'm finally beginning to understand these Doublegames games a little bit. If you want to read all the "INSTRUCTIONS", you have to drag the lantern down. (It really does help to read them!)

This isn't a solitaire that I've ever played before. However--so far--it seems interesting enough for some occasional, mental diversion when you don't feel like staring at your screensaver.

All in all its worth the download for solitaire lovers.

Thanks for all your comments which are all good, I didn't see the solitaire games you listed for Lori, so, if you would, I am a lover of all solitaire games, I sure would appreciate so much if you could help me.

And thanks GOTD for giving us these wonderful games and programs free of charge.

Please...something other than a DoubleGames title!! I understand people like these types of games, I understand they are good for kids and people who don't like games of various other sorts. But 5 days in a row doesn't bring a variety. I'm not saying GOTD shouldn't offer these - I'm just asking for a day or two of something different. I don't think it does this site good when a genre or a company is represented more than 2-3 days a in row. Just my opinion. And I say this completely appreciating that these are free and that there is a lot of hard work that goes into this site.

What has happened to Game Seeker? I always looked for his review, but I haven't seen it in awhile. The other one whose reviews I look for is whiterabbit, so I'm glad that he is still around. :-)

To the Belgian guy, to remove shortcuts that are left after an uninstall or that you just don't want from the installation, right click the shortcut and choose delete. It will ask if you want to delete the shortcut (a different box than the usual yes/no delete). Choose 'delete shortcut.'

Most games put a shortcut on the desktop that leads to the author's website. When the game finishes installing, I delete those extraneous shortcuts as well as deleting the file the shortcuts point to. I don't expect my computer to do things that I can easily do for myself.

I think there is a bug. The instructions are vague, so don't know if this is allowed; but I can at least win: e.g.: top rt has queen spade, drop jack spade on it then it locks, but after undo, both are freed allowing sort of deal from bottom of deck. It does go into some mode where some cards are behind others and/or in front of others, blocking them from selection or even stack entry. I'm having fun trouble shooting this game though.

I have to agree with the dudes comments re: the instructions, but all in all a nice game. Lori should be pleased because she's been asking for a solitaire game for ages. Lori, I hope you found the links I’ve given several times over the past weeks since you mentioned wanting a Klondike solitaire game. You'll have to look back a few weeks if you did miss them though as I got fed up of posting them, lol. You never indicated whether you’d downloaded them (At least 7 solitaire games in total) One of them includes Silver Klondike.

The options for turning off the music and changing to windowed mode are accessible without leaving the game by going to the top right hand corner of the screen. There are multiple user slots, so lots of people can run their own game. Nice one DoubleGames. This should shut up the skeptics that assumed you would be giving away the balloon game, lol.

By the way commenter #2, would be much better if you could give a good reason for the game being boring. This comments section is for suitable pro or con comments that give information as to the suitability of the game. Boring says nothing about the game, but says a lot about......... need I say more.

This is the FIRST DoubleGames offering I'm going to keep; but how can you mess up a solitaire game? If DG stays in this direction, there might be a glimmer of hope for them. First comment at 6:51 - what does that tell you?

I have been visiting this site for about a month and have been pleased with the variety of games offered. I don't download all, of course, but I have enjoyed the majority that I have downloaded and played. Today's offering is no different. Trouble-free download and installation, and, after playing, I have found this offering promising to be addictive. Thank you for the download, and the site.

The game is cool(and solitaire is pretty much an 'adult' game so that is good) but......I am not sure if it is just on my system but the game seems a little 'buggy'. For instance, I had 2 different times where I was able to select the card behind the front card and move it without moving the card in the front of the row...also, at one time I was moving the Q of diamonds and went to drop the card in open cell but after unclicking the card when it was touching rectangle slot instead of positioning itself inside of rectangle the card just stayed exactly where I unclicked it(half in and half out of the box). When I went to move it hoping the program would realign it the system would not let me pick up the card. Like I said, maybe just my system but if anyone else out there is finiding similar issues please post so others can be aware.

PS. No pornography, Naked Horses, or 'Belgian' type advertisements that I noticed on this game.

It installs fine and no problem activating it.

The game description as given is just a bit of blah-blah-blah to justify the artwork.

The 'art'work is okay. The music choice is bad though. Instead of a relaxing tune you get something that changes pace from slow to up beat.

There's an instructions blurb that could have been formulated a bit clearer especially seeing as that the gameplay is not as straight forward as one would expect from a solitaire game.

It leaves 3 shortcuts on the desktop, which is excessive. The additional shortcuts don't get removed automatically when using the un-installer.

All in all, a different take on a game that has been milked for years now. Taste differ so I'm sure some will rave about it but anyone that willing pays 15 USD for this must have money to burn.
