The (Mobility) Radeon 9600 is the same video chipset I have and I had the same problem with the crash and had to do a 'hard' reset to get out of it. I don't think the game supports 1280x800 (widescreen) resolution, even though it has it as one of the options. I dropped the resolution to 1024x768 and it worked fine for me. Hope this helps.

As for the game itself - it's quite entertaining, but not exactly to my taste. I passed a little time with it yesterday afternoon, and will probably give it another go later.

Still worth a free download to see if you like it.

I don't have internet at home, so I take everything I need at work and later I put in my computer at home. My question is: can i activate the softwares without internet, just with the "activate.exe" or I need to be on line?

Very nice little game -- downloaded and played easily on XP Home. Thanks for putting this one up... I've only newly discovered GAOTD so your recent offerings are all games we don't have yet. The kids will really enjoy this one. Thank you.

I find the graphics and game play to be very nice. I am useing Vista and it worked fine for me.

Not sure if this was the cause but I downloaded it today and also found a trojan on my comp today. Trojan PSW.Ldpinch.OUP which is a password stealer.

The original Bubble Bobble was much better than this...

#12 & 15 -- are you using a Radeon 9600 series video card as I am? Same thing happened to me using 1280x768, afraid now to try it again! Had to hit the reset button to reboot and get out of it. Maybe it works with video set lower; will try that later. SIGH.

For some reason I cannot get the little mouse cursor within the game to work, but I guess there just isn't mouse support or something...

Otherwise this game is a lot of fun and VERY cute and cheerful. A++

I can't recommend this one. The game seems to be alright from a technical standpoint, but the gameplay mechanics seem to cause a bit of problem. In particular:
- I somehow got killed riding water. Normally you should either be invincible or resistant to attacks as the water bubble is an anti-enemy attack.
- Level transitions seem slow. While this is permitted to collect remaining items, there's not that many that appear once the level is cleared - plus it's slow compared to the original Bubble Bobble (arcade/etc).
- I don't like the camera - it doesn't show the whole screen. While there is a radar, you need to look directly at it to see the yellow powerup. The camera system also seems to jump when wrapping around the top/bottom.

Oh, #19: I run Vista, and only had a one-shot fluke.

For those with Vista, drop it and go back to XP. Vista won't let you do anything, especially if you use MP3 players.

This game is an improved Bubble Bobble. Real fun!! I liked it.

Using Cheat Codes (Just type it while playing):
sprinter - boots to run faster
doublerahge - your bubbles fly farther
rocket - your bubbles fly faster
machinegun - you blow bubbles faster

Very nice, interesting, beautiful graphics, good story. Great. Thank you GGOTD for your re-offering on the games. Some days I pass on them, but some days I pick up things I missed, like this one!

Sorry but my 2 year old daughter wants something more macho than this! lol

Horrible control! Feels like I'm playing a bad SMS platformer (it feels a lot like psycho fox, actually), especially the jumping feels jerky and disconnected. Uninstalled immediately.

I love this game. I downloaded it the first time around and play it alot. It's one of my favorites. Thank you for bring it back so I can put it on our other computer.

I like it, good one and a keeper.

This froze up on me, and would not respond to keyboard or mouse commands. I couldn't get past the main screen. It wouldn't let me Alt-Tab, Windows-D, or Ctrl-Alt-Del out, and somehow I finally managed to click randomly and realized that task manager was up, but under the screen, but would still let me click on it to exit the game that way.

System hanged on trying to play this. Had to reboot as Ctrl + Alt + Del also did not work.

I prefer to use my mouse and not the keyboard to play games. Very pretty graphics, but uninstalled.

The developers must be using this name inside the application and forgot to change it before final launch :) guess no one told them. This happens a lot .. lol

Another bubble clone but this designer actually did a much nicer job both in gameplay and graphics than the rubbish the other day and they freely admit it's Bubble Bobble clone and use it as a story point.

Worth a download, at least as 10 minutes of fun for yourself or as a kids game for those dumb kids that say "look at those budget graphics" of the wondeful orginal.

Not worth $19.95, try $9.95 but worth a FREE download.

One last comment:

I found it funny that the process name for this game is "Bubble Bobble 3D"

Why are the game cheat codes given at the game website? I thought they were to exploit fun and were for testing purposes only :(
