The Game
Bubble Zoo 2 is a classic marble-popping game combined with chain reaction elements. The main objective is to clear strings of moving bubbles represented by various farm animals trapped within the bubbles. If they reach the end of the path to the cage, the player loses. You have to rescue the farm animals from falling into the cage!
Bubble Zoo 2 is very cartoon like and although there is the evil protagonist, I would say this is not only suitable for adults (the limited shots mode is very difficult) but for your children as well game mainly to the charming graphic.
There are three modes of play Classic that involves clearing away all the bubbles before they reach the end of the cage. Limited Time mode where you have to complete all goals before you run out of time and Limited Shot mode that is similar to the limited time mode except instead of time being the limiter the number of shots is your limiter.

The game has some similarities to one of my favorite bubble shooting games Zuma in that the bubble shooter can be located in various positions in the arena, not just at the bottom of the arena like in most bubble poppers; plus, in some levels you'll find you can swap the bubble shooter between 2 or 3 different positions.
You can see several in-game videos of game play HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Conclusion
Initially when I booted up this game I thought it was more for a child due to the cartoon like graphic; however, I was wrong. Overall I really enjoyed playing Bubble Zoo 2. The three modes add variety to the game though I would have liked to have seen the modes separated instead of swapping between the modes via the level map of which there are over 70 levels to work through. I liked the additional feature that allows you to spend some of your in game earnings on recovering a level if the animals are about to enter the cage. You can spend a certain amount (usually 300) and it will reverse the animal chain at least a third of the way back from the cage and this is repeatable until you complete the level, or you can fail and restart the level over again. You cannot proceed to the next level until you have completed all the requirements of the preceding level. What I found frustrating was that you couldn't exchange your shot for a back up shot, which to my knowledge is usually available in all of the bubble shooters such as Zuma, Luxor, Sparkle and many others that I've played over the years I've been coming to the game giveawayoftheday site, however this absence does add another level of difficulty to the game as you will often be faced with a ball that doesn't match with any that are in your sights.
My previous conclusion from the 21st Oct 2017 read as follows: Initially I thought Bubble Zoo 2 was really just for the kids. The graphic was very child like in it's presentation from the characters to the representations of the bubbles; however, after playing only a few levels I realised this was quite a gem of a game, with some innovative twists that I've not seen in a bubble/marble popper before. Don't let the graphic put you off, this is an excellent but hard game to beat. I usually sail through games lke Luxor and Zuma; rarely losing a level. Whereas with Bubble Zoo 2, within several levels I'd already lost two levels, something I wasn't expecting, especially so early in the game. I'd score this an 8 out of 10 for game play.

Downloaded yesterday from MyPlayCity site, played late yesterday.

Wanted to say about the click on the character to change colours - just behind the character are two small circles, with the colours of the next two "balls". But, they are rather pale - and frequently, the next ball is the same as the one queued up to shoot with. So - you don't always know if you click on the character whether or not the ball has changed. (the pale colour in the circles doesn't help, either - is it a chicken, or a pig, or a sheep next?)

The next thing that made for a bit of a challenge - the character doesn't aim, until after you shoot! So, I had to adjust my strategy from my normal playing of similar games like Zuma or Luxor. This added more challenge, because I had to be able to look at three things at once - the line of targets, the pale circles, and the current "ball" ready to throw!

I only played up to level 8 so far - looking forward to playing all the levels!! Nice to have a new challenge along the Zuma/Luxor marble shooter style, but with different goals each level.

Thank you for featuring the game - might never have found it otherwise!

Catlady, Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated. I didn't notice the two blobs on the bubble shooter. I think it looks like a pattern so didn't think to check. I was assuming to make the game more dificult they had omitted the chance to select another colour.

Hope all is well at your end? :)

HMMM, Issue with video resolution.
Program tells me it can't use the screen resolution it selected, it automatically tried 3 lower resolutions, then closed.

Joe, Click on Program Icon, Click on Properties, Click on Compatibility - lots of setting in there. This is how my daughter got an old Windows 3.1 game to work on I think it was Windows XP (at the time).

Like this game genre, up until they swarm you with mega flow. Quickly leads to uninstall. This version looks like fun for as long as it lasts. Cute graphics. Thanks.
