To the #4 problem: it works correctly one day later. Maybe just had to restart the computer? But the setup didn't said that. And restart the whole PC for a 3Mb game? Please.

Thanks, GAOTD, for another sweet simple game. For those who can't figure out how to play it? Read the instructions. For those who don't like it? Uninstall it, and quit complaining already. GAOTD is doing a great service here by offering us FREE games. And yes, for 24 hours, for the one who was confused about that. Honestly, some of the complaints here absolutely amaze me. But all I can give is THANKS to GAOTD. And by the way, GAOTD doesn't download the extra icons... the game producer does, and they have no way to control that. You can't drag them to your trash can? Yeesh! Don't turn a good thing into a bad one.

Thank you to those who entered comments letting us know this is a keyboard controlled game. You saved me the trouble of downloading it. I cannot manipulate the keyboard well enough to play a game unless I can use my mouse. I think keyboard controls are old fashioned and "clunky". I'll wait and see the offering for tomorrow, but thanks for all the efforts, GGOTD team!

The most addictive music track of all games given away so far.
If only the gameplay itself would equal this... No, I really think there have been "a couple of" 3-balls-of-the-same-color-in-a-row games up to now. Can't imagine this will go on and on and on.
Thx anyways. Sometimes you dl a game just to get the music. :)

To game developers...I play these games repeatedly and enjoy it more if I am told that I beat my high score last time I played this level...Not the overall "high score for the game" but for each level...just a flash "High Score! when tallying points will do...just an idea. Thanks GOTD

I also get the “openal error: invalid value” errors #4 mentions.

They clearly spent money on the graphics, you'd think they would invest another 100 dollars in a proper sound library.

Activated and Installed easily, this game works but kind of slow on the keyboard response time (not good in a game that requires quick movements/thinking). If you've ever played "Lose Your Marbles" you'll know how to play this as it's basically the same game with different graphics but slower keyboard response time.

Ease of play?: Yes (if you read the instructions or have ever played LYM)
Replay value?: Depends on how bored you are. Once you play it to the higher levels it's not really that much different than the first levels. Decent graphics and music, "Lose Your Marbles" is better but this is a decent clone.

Developers that read these comments should take note of the Mouse function wanted for "quads". IMO that should be one of your main target audiences. Thumbs up but I give it only 5/10 for slow response time, not much replay value and no mouse support.
Thanks Alive games and to GOATD for all the great effort you put into getting free stuff for us!

Thanks GOTD! I really appreciate you offering all these games and programs. I also want to thank you for using the Wiki Folio downloading tool. I have dial up (I know, get with the times) and some downloads can take more then an hour. WikiFolio seems to download faster for me. So thanks again!

Good morning everyone! ;)

My first comment is what a great game! For my husband that is. :( I can't play it, because there are no options for mouse control in the game and my hand would be in severe pain after the first round. I really wish the game developer had included mouse support since David is really enjoying the game too.

The game downloaded/activated and installed seamlessly - as most of the games do if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED WITHIN THE ZIP FILE.

Watching him play, I can tell you that the graphics are excellent. One minor nit-pick that I have, is that at full screen, straight lines (mostly text,) are slightly jagged at the edges by about a pixel. This might change if we had an option of resolutions to try for the game, but there isn't. Perhaps better anti-aliasing by the graphic artist might help also.

As I said it's only a minor nit-pick, since the graphics animation is also excellent! The fish move smoothly and don't jar your senses with odd turns and/or movements.

Once the game launches, you are given the option of game difficulty - easy; normal or hard - you can also access a separate 'Options' screen, by clicking the 'Options' button on the right.

This 'Options' screen, gives you volume sliders for both sound and music; full screen (launches in window mode;) 'Show Hints' and 'High Scores.'

The 'Help' screens (6 pages,) are very understandable and comprehensive. Players who are used to match 3 games will know most of the game rules anyway - it's the controls that one needs to come to turns with first.

Game play is very easy - match 3 or more balls WITHIN the confines of the marked, center box. Matching 3 anywhere else won't count. So you need to move the columns up and down, in order to get a match in the center box.

There are various bombs that you have to use as part of a match in order to blow up and your cursor must land on it (and hit enter,) to activate them and others which blow up only certain colors - most players will know this kind of play - which will make it easier to concentrate on the added feature of the center box.

To recap, this game is a LOT of fun to play and is NOT a Tetris clone - the only similarity is that new blocks do fall from the top, so you need to match fast in order not to get caught. Once you fill the meter on the left side, you have completed the level and can move on to the next one.

I LOVE this game and I'm extremely disappointed that I'll be unable to play it. :( However, I do wish those who don't find this an issue, many happy hours of game play! :)

My thanks to Alive Games for returning to us with another excellent game. I do hope however, that this very welcome software house takes notice of the game controls issue and addresses it in future games. I'm not the only one with game difficulties involving keyboard-only controls.

Thanks as always to GOTD whom I appreciated more and more everyday!

One of those games that is deceptively simple to learn. One can pregress through the levels on "caveman" mentality.

Then one realizes that scoring is not the same as scoring big. Creating a chain reaction, and scoring big increases in difficulty the higher the level, and it starts taking some significant planning to make the best use of the various powerups and bubble stoppers nad so forth.

No spyware like activity, such as installing unwanted desktop links or attempts to fudge with my internet favorites. I also did my phone home test. I blocked all internet access with McAfee Firewall and ran the game. No alerts.

A good solitaire substitute, I give this game an unqualified thumbs up.

This is like the old Lose Your Marbles game, which I loved and played for hours on end until it decided for some reason that it no longer liked my sound card and wouldn't play properly anymore. :(

Giving it a thumbs up for being a clone of one of my favorite, but no longer playable, games. The graphics seem to be a little on the dark side, but it's a keeper anyway. Thanks for the download!

This is a very attractive game that I could really like. However, I don't like it because it is too frustrating to play at such a quick pace ALL-THE-TIME. When I start having trouble finding "bubbles" to line up, some of the columns get too long and I can't reach the bubbles I need. I have to just sit there and wait for the rest of them to finish filling up.

Except for that, I find it a refreshing idea done very well. I may keep it for a while since it's fun up to about level 6. :)

#14 and #16 The rules are not as explanatory as they should be (I meant to put about that in my review) - I was convinced for the first 25 minutes that the game didn't work. But the 3 bubbles of the same colour must be lined up between the 2 main blue horizontal parallel lines along which the game's triangular cursor runs; if they are aligned anywhere else then they will not pop.

Rules are so simple, a cave man could do it. Pretty fun game, but I dont particularly like using the keyboard. And, the levels dont get noticably more difficult. I loved it for a while. Now, after playing it for a coupla hours, i dont think that I will want to ever play it again. I dont give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Game play just doesnt hold my interest.

I prefer to use the mouse, but I downloaded this and I was not happy.
It said to line up three bubbles, etc. I did and they just sat there, so I lined up the same color in the whole row (5). They still just sat there. Not user friendly.

Very nice graphics. Fun game. I do not like having to use my keyboard for controls. Other than that, it was an enjoyable game. But because of that, I probably won't play it again, and definitely wouldn't pay for it.

Thanks for not adding extra icons. Much appreciated.

After looking at the screenshot and visiting the publisher website I still have not the slightest clue of what the rules are about.
Is that titilation by obfuscation method ?
As far as I am concerned, it doesn't catch. I don't download something I don't know about.
No clue, no dowload.
Sometimes, I wonder if the hidden goal of GAOTD is not having us download as few as possible...

The game downloaded and installed perfectly (XP) with noticably no advertising icons that this particular developer has utilised in the past, perhaps having read some of the comments about these on here for previous games?

Alive Games are one of my particular favourite game developers; Leaf Buster is outstanding and the skill of the virtual computer player of Reversi made it the best computerised version I have ever come across. Bubble Splash is a good game too, with a feel-good tune that does not have you setting off in search of a mute facility and gorgeous graphics that really make the game stand out, a true talent of Alive Games' programmers that runs through each of their games, Bubble Splash is not the Tetris type game I initially thought and, as in Leaf Buster, it involves matching up bubbles of the same colour within a designated line which can hold 5 of them in total.

But having got to Level 21 and no less than 314,954 points, my attention started to wane - nothing new was happening and despite being 20 levels from where I started, the game was not noticably much more difficult. In fact, I pressed Exit before the game had finished or I may have been writing this review next week. I'm sorry to say it but it did become very tedious.

For this reason I would probably not play the game again, I may try a higher level but if over 20 games continue to be of similar skill to the first then I cannot imagine this holding many people's attention for a significant time. I doubt even children would be entertained by this game as it becomes truly monotonous and nothing different occurs, the most challenging thing being that new bubbles appear at a slightly faster rate, although I would have expected the heightened speed of Level 21 to have been at Level 2, it really is that little difference.

On a positive note it is a challenge and does promote co-ordination, reflex and good eye to hand movement. The graphics are extraordinarily beautiful and playing the game is akin to being in a Sea-Life Centre, it really is that beautiful. Sadly for me this is not enough to make me want to play this again due to the reasons listed above, I will stick with trying to master Leaf Buster beyond Level 17 :-)

This is not to say that I do not appreciate the game, the work that has gone into it or the fact that it is being offered free of charge here today. The only thing that lets it down is the lack of substantially greater challenge 20 levels on from the start.
