Happy years passed as one day. Grateful people of the Fairyland composed numerous songs and tales about the dwarves' adventures. They showed their appreciation with royal feasts.

But the real hero cannot rest on the laurels, fighting for the weak is his destiny. Weapons are sharp, magic potions not sour.

To secure peace means to prepare for war... A new challenge for your favorite heroes! This quest is even more difficult! It's the most enthralling adventure you've ever gone through... This time the dwarves are to pursue evil not only in the dungeons, but in the open air too. The enemy has cherished ill-will and got slier. Lots of his minions are out to make people suffer. Is there a hero who can come to the rescue of poor people? Two heroes armed to the teeth, with the pockets full of gold to buy more weapons from the merchant. The dwarves' courage and your ingenuity will crack this quest, but not so fast.

You'll spend long hours fully enchanted by the game, and so will your friends.

This pack has 2 new episodes: Spring mood and Wish for summer.

For AVA Comment #70, the teleport at the very bottom of the map gets you up into the top left section. The bottom row of the map has two blue teleports: one in the left-most corner, and one further to the right -- use the one on the right.

JUST A NOTE OF WARNING. There's a spot under a stairway on the right side of the map (the furthest square to the right, just where you teleport in), that will cause you to be stuck in an infinite drop. The only way out is to quit the game and reload the last save point. So when you come through the teleport, don't walk through the stairs below it; or be sure to save your game before you try it.

Still love the game, though.

I'm trying to find out how to reach the last level. I got everything, and I've tried over and over to get to the last section and I can't. I've even printed out the map marking where everything goes. How do you reach to the last level??? Someone please help. I couldn't even find instructions on how to get there. Thanks.

Hi Charmaine, I too love Brave Dwarves games. I have the same problem not being able to teleport into the final bit, unfortunately there is the same problem with Wish for Summer level as well, so neither one can be finished, unless someone knows different.

It ain't Halo, Tribes, or any of the other Blood'n'Guts thrillers folks play, but the BD and BD2 characters have a charm all their own. The Whiners don't like it because nothing but bugs and monsters die in a flash of sparkles instead of a splash of blood.

I used to play those Slash and Smash games a few years ago, but these little guys have been fun to steer around the panels. Takes a bit of smarts to play these games (I have 8 of them loaded).

I do think a mouse interface would be really nice but even without it, this series of games is one that the whole family, from Gramps to the little kids, can watch, play, and have a fun time!

Thanks GGAOTD!

I'm always thrilled to see another Brave Dwarves release. They install easily, work just fine, and I enjoy playing through the various screens (love the graphics). Some might find these games boring or too easy, but I think they're relaxing and fun. You won't hear any complaints from me. Thank you to Game Giveaway and to Gameover Games!

My glass is still half full. Free is great and the Brave Dwarves is a great platform game. The graphics are improved with each new release. My complaint is still the same. PLEASE PROGRAM THE GAME TO USE MOUSE. I do not play games that do not use mouse controll. I love the way the little mousie warms up in my hand. It creates a connection between me and the machine that feels natural. Having to look at the key pad breaks that connection. Its distracting. It slows me down. I down load all the Dwarves because John and Thom , who are under 12 and dont mind using the key pad, love playing them. I am also looking forward to the super mega indigo wham bam four seasons crayola 64 color box edition, perhaps by then it will have MOUSE control. Thanks to everyone for your comments. Hello to the new people. This is a great web site. Good day.....Heln

I like it but, I like the side scrolling between levels and the updated graphics added by this one since this the 2nd BD Title I downloaded.
It took a while on loading but it worked on a 466mhz cpu with DirectX 8.1 then ran normally. Good game if you like the old 2d platform games like donkey Kong/Megaman, etc. but with better graphics.
Thanks again Gameover Games and the GGAOTD Team!

#26 Diller Daller,

The idea "if you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say it" rule applying to a giveaway site where people place comments for the developers of the games to read as feedback is just wrong. How often do you visit this site? I don't think you understand at all what GGOTD is for. You and everyone else like you, stop telling people how to comment on these games!

I have to echo #52 comments!

There's a difference between constructive criticism and just miserable griping. It's a platform style game, if you don't like that type of game, griping how you don't like that style is of no useful benefit.

If you point out some problems or flaws in the game that is constructive and useful to the developers.

It takes 1 second to close the page down, do that if you don't like the offered software vs. moaning and groaning about it.

Why do people complain about free stuff? Sometimes I think people should remember what my momma used to say:

"If you can't say anything nice then don't say it at all"

I think it is more beneficial to vote whether you like it or not rather than always complaining about dwarves or doublegames.

Now I'm not saying not to have your opinion, but be judicious about what and how you say it.

For all thoses who are negativ, just don't download it. I don't dowmload games I don't like, but I don't critisize it either.
You can't always have what you want and remember it's for free.

This game is very good. The only reason that there are negative comments is because there have been several in this series, and some people who don't like platform games simply want something else.

The game however has great graphics, and is equally playable by adults or kids. It's really first class, so if you like platform games with great graphics and good sound, you should definitely try this. It's quite immersive and well done.

Thank you for another one in the brave dwarves series. The games, although platform, are well thought out and the graphics are professional. The games themselves give many hours of interesting fun. My issue with this download and the last dwarves pack is that my screen locked up, hopefully will update and fix that. Nice offering, especially to those who are collecting this series and were not ggotd members for the earlier giveaways. thanks!

Maybe Doublegames should start selling Brave Dwarves and then all the whiners can have a field day :-)

I, on the other hand, would be thrilled to see a Brave Dwarves 248 ultra-indigo pack. So what if it's old? Antiques are old. Nostalgia is old. Probably all the complainers are old, too - if they were kids, they would be spending their money to get the games they want instead of coming here every day to complain about not liking the free games.

Thanks gotd - I don't think these games are repetitive - the last one we got was SO much harder than previous ones. I'm more than happy to try them all.

For those of you who are having trouble with freezing, try updating your video drivers. I had that happen on one of the games early on (I don't remember if it was Brave Dwarves or another title) and the fix was updating my drivers. Now I never have a problem with freezing up. Also, if you are having trouble with any technical aspect of the games try posting about it in the forums. Someone there may be able to help you quicker than in the comments section here, just because there are not so many useless posts to wade through. Also, the fix for the problem will be in an area where the next person who has that problem can easily find it instead of buried in the comments section of past offerings.

This site is a godsend for me as I don't have the money at this time for new games or software, so getting a full, licensed version of a good game or useful software is priceless. When my finances get more settled I would be willing to buy the Brave Dwarves games. If my hard drive crashes and I lose all these games you can bet I will start saving to replace them.

I absolutely LOVE the Brave Dwarves series. I download everyone that is presented here. The games are entertaining and well made. Gameover Games has done an EXCELLENT job with this series. And I am VERY grateful to GAOTD for getting Gameover Games participation in their project.

There is a thread in the forums that is worth the read. It is entitled "Why do people complain about free stuff?" I loved the example that BuBBy, one of the moderators gave... absolutely priceless! I highly encourage everyone to take a look.

Lastly, although I know it will do no good so I don't know why I even expend the effort, for those of you who are complaining about 'another' Brave Dwarves game or any other offering that comes through and filling up the comment section with your diatribe... it would be so much more effective for you to leave your comments in the forums instead of in the comments section here. And it would allow those people who are willing to download and try the software to give their feedback on how the software works for them so the next person who is looking at whether they want to download it or not would have something real to go on. If a specific offering is crashing every computer it is installed on, if the graphics are bad, if the music is horrid and you can't even turn it off, if there are nude pictures that pop up, etc. then those are valuable things to know. Likewise, if the installation goes well, if the game is enjoyable, if the music is good (or at least not maddening), if the instructions are well written or it is easy to pick up in playing... these are valuable comments. Not "I don't like this type of game so I am not going to download it. Thumbs down from me." For instance, #11 hasn't even tried ANY of the Brave Dwarves games, let alone this one. But still feels the need to give the game a thumbs down and comment in the section about it. And #23 saying the Dwarves games are just SPAM now... obviously doesn't know the definition of SPAM... but if you all have suggestions for other games PLEASE take it to the forums where it belongs. And let those of us who have the guts to download the games and try them out leave comments on the games. It is only fair to all those people who are thinking of trying out the games to find out if there is something worth trying by someone who has actually TRIED it.

Ambrosia...who wishes some people would get a clue.

I go along with Plady 100 (#34). I don't like using the keyboard and I don't have a Joystick, nor a GamePad, which I prolly wouldn't know how to use either! I love these free games and am always looking for one that uses the mouse, but I don't always find that information in either the description or the comments. Whiterabbit, Merril and Swan: your comments are always eagerly anticipated. Could you possibly throw this little bit of information in your summary?
Thanks to all of you who submit your comments, they help me a lot. Also my appreciation to GGOTD. Keep up the good work!

The last offer of Dwarves froze on me, also. I thought maybe it was just me, so I downloaded this one. Nope. Froze again. It freezes on the 'click any key to continue' screen. I click EVERY key and every combination to no avail. Can't even turn off the computer. I have to cut power. This, of course, makes me very unhappy. I'll not be downloading anymore Dwarves.

I'm halfway about the game, anyway. I don't like having to use the keyboard, but this game seems fun so I've downloaded them thinking maybe one day I'll get a joystick. (or whatever gadget they're offering when I get there.)

One day I expect to see here Brave Dwarves 248 ultra-indigo pack.
It just being the same game as all the other ones but just having another 2 levels.

It's old. Those that liked it will like it, those that don't won't.

It's like bringing out another Rambo movie, Rocky or another Die Hard. Some will love it, some can deal with it, others don't care for them at all.

It being for free I can see somewhat the appeal. But keep in mind that normally you have to pay 13 USD (or more) for each "pack" which consists out of a couple of levels. In other words, each time that people fawn over it they send a signal that the creators should keep milking it out even more.
