Beezzle's mouth-watering Action Mode challenges you to first produce and then gather honey candies. You accomplish this by matching drops of colored nectar, which fills a bottle with honey. When it's full, a piece of colored candy appears that must be included in a match before the sun sets.

Despite it's cutesy appearance it's a pretty fun and challenging color matching game. The time limits it sets even in the easy mode really keep you on your toes. Making it fun for adults as well as children.

This could have been good except for one serious flaw: The automatic hints. It's like having my little sister standing behind me saying, "ooh, put that one there!" If it's supposed to be a puzzle game, what's the point of having it automatically solve itself? Sure, having the *option* of getting hints is nice - it can prevent frustration - but it *really* has to be possible to turn the hints off. Otherwise I feel like the game might as well just play itself. On some modes it doesn't even give me a second to look for a good move before pointing one out. I've even seen it suggest a move before the new pieces have finished coming onto the board! It really makes the game almost unplayable for me.

I also find the time limits a little annoying, but that's a more legitimate part of the game. I enjoy taking my time to solve a puzzle game; having it suddenly time out just when I've figured it out can be annoying. But this is only a minor flaw, not a serious one.

I am really enjoying this one. I love puzzles. I was concerned that it was too easy, but it certainly has its challenging parts. Thanks GOTD and Alawar for the free bee (pun intended).

Also, I have Vista and have absolutely no problems with the games that I have downloaded.

I use Vista 64 bit Ultimate, and have had absolutely NO problems with it. All the games for the last month+ have been able to be downloaded and run perfectly with not issues.

I have used the PC extinsively and have found no issues using any type of software. The only annoying this is continuous pop ups when wanting to download, but it is a good safety feature.

The game itself is ok, but nothing spectacular. It seams as though Alawar is just putting out as many games as possible. Even though the finishing quality is great as always from Alawar, the game play is just not there for this one.

The game is challenging though,so I would recommend a download, but would be hard pressed to recommend a purchase.

Thank you, Alawar! You are a wonderful company! Got it, love it! I think it's actually too hard for most children under 10, but that's ok, I'm not under 10. lol:) Fun, very good graphics, very professional game! :)

Diane, I actually have tried Vista. I stand by my previous comment. In my opinion Windows XP is a much better OS. I will use Vista eventually, this is just inevitable - but for now I will stick with what truly works for me.

As for the game, I really enjoyed it. I will be keeping this one in my games folder. Thanks GameGiveaway Of The Day!

Definitely a winner for kids. As an adult, I appreciate the graphics in this game, some of the nicest I've seen, very colorful. Worked ok on Vista.

This isn't the most fun game, but it's good for a short diversion. It has a lot of replay value, since there are three modes with three difficulties with 100 levels each, but you might not be having the most fun during that replaying. Probably worth trying.

Lonestar (#14) - If your Alawar games worked until last week then I don't think it's Vista causing your problem (unless you just switched to Vista then). You must have changed something else in your system that is affecting the way the games work.

I have Vista 32 bit Ultimate and I have very few problems.

mcvork (#16) - I think you are being biased and unfair. I switched to Vista 32 bit Ultimate in April. I was able to switch over more than 95% of my old games and they run fine under Vista. There are a few exceptions but it's not like the "MOST" you mentioned. I estimate that I currently have about 250 games and except for a few that came with my machine, there can't be more than 1 or 2 (from GGOTD) that are "Vista Compatible".

In fact, one of my biggest game problems is the Spider game that came WITH Vista. It doesn't agree with my graphics driver and I get warning messages from time to time.

I agree that Vista has bugs but EVERY piece of software out there except for a few extremely trivial ones do. I quote Chandler's Law - "The only completely debugged program is the one no longer in use".

About the only way I have hung this new machine is by double-double-clicking on a zip file.

Don't trash something until you have REALLY tried it!

Today's game is absolutely great! It's an innovative match 3 game with 3 different modes that all come together to make a perfect game. I'm very impressed with this one. Thumbs up!

Variations of the 3-in-a-row theme on octagonal cells. 2 timed games, and 1 untimed. Time limits are too short for me, but maybe not for others. Didn't notice much time difference between "easy" and "normal" modes, either. Maybe the layouts are just more difficult. Can't see myself ever making it through 100 such levels, lol. The "puzzle" mode--though untimed--was a little less interesting than the others. Probably need to try it longer since it seemed so boring at first. Don't know why that bee keeps pestering my cursor in the main menu... :)

Overall, a pretty nice game which should appeal primarily to kids, but fun to pass time with for us oldsters, too. Thanks Alawar & GGAOTD for another fine gift.

This is actually a pretty fun game. I started on the easy level, which usually gives a good idea of how hard the other levels will be. The powerups are fun and unique (i.e. the shark) and the music isn't too annoying. Perhaps it is just a mouse setting but I did find that the pointer does not move as smooth as I would like it to. I've completed the first 10 levels and won 3 awards. Personally, I enjoy having the awards because it gives you something to strive for besides finishing a level or the game. Overall, a good game for kids AND adults. I give it a 7.5/10.
Thanks, Alawar, you've done it again! Thank you, too, GGOTD!

I really wanted to try this game. Install went great, activation flawless. Ran the game, screen distorted, couldn't read anything. Updated directx, java, etc, still same. I know I have a crap video card, but hell I can play most games, except this one...

I even changed screen resolutions, etc...nothing, garbage...

how about a decent RPG for a change, a dungeons and dragons type RPG?

Lonestar, the reason Alawar's games don't work on Vista is because they were not programmed for Vista. MOST games will not work on Vista for this very fact. Either Vista needs to be updated, or the software itself needs to be, or both. Either way your problem lies in the fact that you use an operating system that is nowhere near being stable and functional on even the most basic level. I will continue to use XP until there is absolutely no way to get around switching to Vista. Having a flashier looking GUI really isn't worth the kind of hassle Vista brings.

This game installed without any problems. It has some nice graphics, music, and it is fun to play. I guess Alawar is spoiling us because all of their games are great. I would recomment to all that as soon as you read Alawar........ skip the comments and download the game. You will not regret it. Thank you so much GGAOTD for your efforts. We really appreciate the games you give us access to. Thank you too Alawar Entertainment.

It looks like a good game, but I don't know for now. All, and I do mean all, of Alawar's games have stopped working on my Windows Vista Ultimate, 32 bit edition. They immediately crash as soon as I launch them, with program has stopped responding. I've tried various tricks i've read from here and other sites, but for now, it looks like I won't be playing these games.
They were working up until this week.

This game installs and plays well on my Vista computer. However, the startup page is a bit weird. The bee and mouse pointer leave "trails" of their "former selves" and the selection of the game overlays the previous display rather than replace it. That makes it difficult to see to start out. Once you get into the game, though, it's fine.

I love the mindless match three games. I've played the puzzle mode of this, and getting to the certain spot adds a bit of a challenge. Something different, anyway. I look forward to wasting a lot of my day playing this. :) Thanks!!

For some reason the graphics for this game are distorted on my computer. This is a first, so I have to assume it's the game.

GGotD should look into getting some old games from Epic Megagames (or just Epic Games as I thikn they're called now) - they had some really good games back in the day, like Jazz Jackrabbit 2.

Seems like a pretty good game, except for the opening logo being kinda freaky. Don't be fooled by the colorful, kidsy look - the time limit for normal mode this game can put pressure even on adults. The main issue/problem I had with this game is that if you don't make a move for a short time, it will "highlight" a piece you can move, and I'm not sure if you can turn it off. It's a pretty good game, though. Thanks for all the good games you've hosted, GGotD; this is probably going to be another keeper.

Refuses to start on my computer. A black rectangle appears, then the screen goes black, back to the black rectangle, screen goes black again, and finally quits back to the regular Windows. Thumbs down for simply not working.

This was given away exactly a year ago on the 11th Nov 06, over on the giveaway site. This is a pleasant repeat although I haven't bothered to create a link to the previous giveaway as there were only two comments.

This game has three game modes, Action, Fill and Puzzle; with 300 levels, 100 each for each game mode. Each level has a tutorial page to introduce the game, and hints will pop up initially to put you right if you make moves that don't make sense. This is a basic match three puzzler, with the usual power up/bonuses to help you achieve your goal. Incentives include awards such as creating several rows of 'nectar drops in a row, or for producing several combos in one move.

There are three difficulty levels to choose from. The game is mouse controlled and once a level is completed your progress is saved. You can set up multiple profiles and the help page and in game tips can be turned off via the help menu.

This looks like it’s a keeper as the game play is good. Worth 7 out of 10 for sure (IMO anyway). The graphics are a little dated but this hardly matters as it is bright and colourful. The graphic is cartoon in style, so will certainly engage the younger child, although I reckon on all but the easiest levels an adult will need to supervise them. The theme is one of bees and honeycombs.

played this as a trial previously. not sure why, but i kinda <3 this one. easy to play. runs well for me (seems to like my XP SP2 1G ram pc (not all do)) depending on which game play option you choose, this one can be hectic or relaxing - i like that i can *choose* which one i want - many games give one or the other!

so basically, a puzzle game or a speed game - pick what you want and go with it :)
